Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
kayzr · 29/01/2009 15:44

I have just remembered I have my 6 week check at 16:35 today. Its a good thing I remembered now and not in an hours time.

Diege · 29/01/2009 18:04

Phew, well done for remembering KAYZ! Can't believe it's been 6 weeks
I feel a lot happier about the cysts in scan now after speaking to a lovely woman in ARC (antenatal results and choices). She's put my mind at rest (for now at least) and tells me that new guidelines have been drawn up that mean in the very near future no sonographer in the UK should even mention them if seen in isolation. In other words, just part of normal fetal development. Now I can focus on worrying aboout boy stuff instead ...

tinkhashertinklet · 29/01/2009 18:11

i must make my 6 week check appointment soon
well we are using the aptimal now dd2 has had a 3oz bottle of it.
from now on feeding her 3.5hrly - 4hrly 3ozs

kayzr · 29/01/2009 18:18

Yeah I know Diege, he is 7 weeks tomorrow. How is the viral meningitis? Has it all cleared up now?

6 week check went well. I'm back on the pill which is good and he has made me an appointment to see a nurse to make a weight loss plan. My appointment was at 16:35 and I was seen at 17:30!!!

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 29/01/2009 18:18

Hi! Had a good lunch with a v large slice of banoffee pie

Kay - hope appointment goes well.

Diege - glad you've had some reassurance. From the little I know I think the reassurance is absolutely right and we can soon help you focus on blue, blue, blue...

tink - glad the aptimal seems to have done the trick!

Star - good luck with talking about names tonight! We were lucky and reached an easy agreement but I know it's not always that simple!

GruffaloSoldier · 29/01/2009 18:24

Hello,

Diege - have you got a H&M with kids section? They have GORGEOUS boys clothes! I also think NEXT have nice boys clothes, Mothercare and Babies r us. Marks and Spencers, Debenhams??

Tink - hope the aptimal does the trick with dd2, all my nieces had that one too. Im sure she will put the weight on in no time.

LOL at spreadsheets Ses and Gyo - I thought I was bad with my few hundred very similar to do lists!

I have had a bit of a rough day today, left work early and having day off tomorrow. Feel like Ive let them down but I need rest desperately.

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 29/01/2009 18:26

Hi Gruff! Don't feel bad - you have to look after yourself and Gruffette as no1. If your bosses are decent enough people, they will understand.

GruffaloSoldier · 29/01/2009 18:41

Hey thanks Ses,

I think its because they are so understanding that I feel so guilty!!They are mothers so know what its like which is great for me but still feel terrible about it.

Playingthe9monthwait · 29/01/2009 18:41

Hi All,

Kay - I can't believe how well u are doing keeping calm about DHs job. My DH earns virtually twice what I do and the thought of him loosing his job makes me feel ill!

Deige - yay on a boy. I do know what u mean about the willy thing, its something I am going to have to get my head round.

GYo - read your thread about your boss still being an arse. Stick in there girl you'll get through it. If its any consolation at all, one of my close friends works for the same evil organisation as you and her boss on her current project is also being the boss from hell and she is not pg (yet)just had some bad health recently. They seem to just want to take take take, she hates it now, is it any wonder women leave in droves.

LOL at spreadsheets. I of course have on for baby stuff/to do list (doesnt everyone) but I have not gone as far as a housework spreadsheet!

Hi everyone else

kayzr · 29/01/2009 19:06

Playing, I think its because I know there is nothing we can do about it. If we owned our own house I think I would be very very scared. I am looking forward to having DH around. While he job hunts we can do the house and garden. We are going to put in a veg patch as I have always wanted one. I'm going to grow some sunflowers too.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 29/01/2009 21:36

Evening
Gruff - hope you are ok, glad you went home early to rest, hope you feel better soon. But NO GUILT allowed... looking afteryourself is top priority

ohsnap · 29/01/2009 21:42

Wow it's taken me about an hour to catch up! We're staying at my parents' house for a few days as we're having our ceilings plastered and the house is all upside down so I don't get much time to mn work on the pooter. Astarte is almost right, I'm now on CD3 I have a Drs appointment on thurs next week as I have been off the pill for a year and still nothing (although we weren't really ttcing all that time, but hey, he doesn't know that!)

LB, hope you're ok after your labour fright and good luck finding your cervix, I could never find mine once pg!

Diege at the boy! for you though!

Astarte I think shows sink so it prob did just swim away before you saw it, seen anything more since then? I sympathise with the DH thing, when DD2 was due DH was doing stuff at the Brizzle sound and vision show on the thursday to the monday, DD2 was born on the tuesday before but as he was so busy preparing he didn't really meet her until she was a week old! I remember him coming home on monday eveing and saying, "Right, I hear you've had a baby?!"

Kayz, sorry to hear about DH's job, what a shitter! I hope he gets something sorted soon.

to everybody else and sorry if I missed anything!

LaTourEiffel · 29/01/2009 22:10

OMG! I've only just managed to get on as I was crackered last night and ended up in bed at 8.00! Feel much better today and my cold (runny nose turned into a cold) is easing so all generally good.

Diege, was so shocked at your post that I shouted out loud! I'm so pleased for you!

GruffaloSoldier · 29/01/2009 22:15

Thanks Gyo! I had a good yarn to my mum up in Scotland who told me the same thing and put me right at ease too so feeling much better so I will embrace my day of freedom tomorrow

Not to mention I just had an hour long bath and now having a nice cuppa with my feet up so feeling so much happier - hooray!

Sorry to hear that you are struggling with yoga Gyo, that is a shame. Have you tried just swimming? Its very gentle but apparently great for SPD. Just a thought.

Hi ohsnap, sorry for CD3 Hope the docs can help.

GruffaloSoldier · 29/01/2009 22:17

Hi La Tour!

LaTourEiffel · 30/01/2009 08:00

Doh, sorry GS, I posted and went to bed! I'm on holiday today but DS has gone to nursery and DH to work so that I can tidy and clean and do washing this morning and this afternoon we're travelling back over to my folks for the weekend.

I've been waking early in the morning for the last two days, and have developed early morning waves of nausea and a big appetite which I'm trying to convince myself is because I'm worried about work , not eating enough yeah right and I'm clearly a pig (probably true!)

I promised myself I wouldn't get over optimistic but it is sooooooooooooooo hard, its been so long since I was ttc I'd truly forgotten! Ho hum. I'll be packing my sanitary stuff for the weekend ahead.

kayzr · 30/01/2009 08:35

Morning,

LaTour, It is hard isn't it. You don't want to get your hopes up just incase but at the same time you can't help yourself feeling optimistic. I have everything crossed for you.

LaTourEiffel · 30/01/2009 08:38

Thanks Kay - how are things with you and DH? So sorry to hear his news, its just so difficult for companies out there..

kayzr · 30/01/2009 08:41

They are fine. He gave me a lie in this morning as DS1 was up at half 5 wanting to play.

We have plenty to do around the house until he finds a new job. Where he works/worked have said they can have their jobs back in June, so if he hasn't found anything by then he has said he will go back.

Cosmogirl · 30/01/2009 08:42

Morning, my goodness what have they done to MN..? Everything looks weird! Yey for Friday..finally!

Diege · 30/01/2009 08:47

Morning . Latour, the early morning waking in particualr sounds like a good sign, but as KAYZ says it's a hard position to be in - hoping yet not wanting to hope. Will be keeping everything crossed for you .
GRUFF, had forgotten about H&M - love the girls things, haven't even noticed a boy's section but assume they must do one if they go girls!
KAYZ, It's taken me longer than I thought to recover from effects of the viral meningitus, and was told to expect to get tired for at least 3 months after, but then I feel tired wioth the pregnancy (and just life in general!) so hard to know if it's post-viral. One of the women at work had it a few years back, and seems like she felt the same. Thanks for asking!
Horrible rain here, really grim. Have loads of work today that will take me well into the weekend, so trying to distract dd3 with rugrats videos so that I can go on mumsnet get some done.
Hello to everyone, and will pop in when I can today

tinkhashertinklet · 30/01/2009 09:06

kayzr · 30/01/2009 09:11

I don't know if I like it!!

I have changed to MN classic and it's still wierd, there is too much white.

GruffaloSoldier · 30/01/2009 09:12

Morning everyone

Hooray for my day off!Its such a nice feeling

Sun trying to come out here so will hopefully be a nice day.

Diege - they def do boys stuff and baby boy stuff at that - I was cooing over it a few months ago when I had convinced myself I was having a boy! Its CUTE.

Fingers crossed La Tour, early wakings were one of my symptoms although it was a bit later on I think. My first symptoms were shocking period pains

Hi Cosmo, Kayz!

GruffaloSoldier · 30/01/2009 09:13
