Wow Astarte thanks for all that info- will browse the website and get some advice from Flame... Thats a fab offer to borrow a couple- wont you need them for your DC4?

kayzr · 28/01/2009 16:50

He is going to go to the job centre Monday morning with his friend who gives him a lift. We might be able to get our rent and council tax paid for us but I get maternity pay.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 28/01/2009 16:56

Hi all... sorry not been about earlier- DD woke up at 5.50am and threw up all over herself and her bed, DH got up with her, bathed her and brought her down and looked after her so i could get a bit more sleep before he left for work!!! She stopped being sick at 10ish and has managed a slice of toast and little juices since.

Kay- i've spoken to you in texts, but i do hope you and DH will be ok... From the sounds of it you should be able to manage for a few weeks if DH can get a job soon enough, but it still can't be nice!!

Diege said she was going to london straight after the scan didn't she? said she was back today IIRC. Gathering it'll be later today...

I had a very very wierd dream last night... I was on a bus with the DC's going to town, and baby kicked really hard, her foot went through my skin and her foot was actually poking out, then she was born, at 29wks!! Then i was sat on the bus with my baby screaming that i needed an ambulance for my baby and no-one listened, so i had to get off the bus with the baby and the DC's and phone an ambulance myself!! Then they came and everything was ok... but it was very scary!!

2BG- sister is fine about baby being a boy- before she knew the sex she wanted a boy more really, but was over the moon with a girl still... she was just gutted she'd thought he was a girl all that time!! And She'd bought loads- all in pink- some things she's still got reciepts for so can take back etc, but most she hasn't so i'm going to put it all on ebay for her, and whatever it makes will go towards boys things.

Hi! Back from meeting and just checking in before I go out for pizza with friends tonight

Kay - so sorry for the news about your DH's job. I really hope the job centre are able to help him.

LBOT - thanks for info about Winchester shop. I'll do some investigation!!

Glask - sounds like one scary dream. I'm still having v weird dreams but at the moment I'm generally not remembering much more than the fact that I've had a wierd dream. I never knew that his could be one of the sfx of being pg!!

Diege - hope London was good and hoping to hear some good news of your scan!

LB - good to hear from you. Sounds like a scary few days but glad things have settled down.

Hello everyone else....(sorry if I've missed anything...)

Astarte · 28/01/2009 18:25

Okay the obsessing has begun.

I have just been to the toilet and before anything was excreted 'something' definitely fell out of my foof.

I stood up and looked in the toilet and it was gone!

I know it wasn't the baby and I haven't put anything up there sooooooo.....
Would a show float/sink?

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 28/01/2009 18:34

Oooh! Astarte - sorry you've got the one with no knowledge / experience here...
Only thing I could think of would be a show. Anything else you noticed when you wiped??

Astarte · 28/01/2009 18:37

It's like the blind leading the blind then 'cos I know nowt!

There has been a definite increase in discharge.

Have started a thread in pregnancy topic, see if anyone has had this.

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 28/01/2009 18:39

Hmmm... Could be a show then! Hope your thread brings some helpful comments!

ireallyshouldknowthis · 28/01/2009 19:09

oh Astarte i had a show with dd it was very blooby so would of thought that it would of shown when you wiped but I am no expert.

lardybump · 28/01/2009 19:14

that was me sorry I changed name when I started a thread this morning about how to find my cervix i should of just come straight to you..... Still havent found it by the way and dp said NO so I am going to boil up my tweezers (sp?) put a hole in one and put up there and squeeze. Surely if I go as far as I can then I will get it??

I am still feeling realtively calm about it all. I think that getting annoyed/upset about it will do no good and will change nothing. We will just have to claim all we can and cut back on Sky, treats(dvds etc) and takeaways(good for fat belly)

Diege · 28/01/2009 21:26

Hello! Not been back long from London, so apologies if this is a me post and I've missed any crucial news!!!
Well, scan was good (ish). Baby very, very active, all measurements good (putting me a few days ahead of dates, so pretty accurate).I must have second sight or something though, because there was indeed a 'soft marker' on the scan - cpcs (choroid plexus cysts) on the brain, BUT (and thankfully I knew this because of my job) they were seen in isolation (ie, no other problems seen with baby) so pose no extra risk. If there had been other problems (eg. heart pro0blems), there would have been an increased risk for Edward's symdrome, but after speaking with the Consultant she told me my risk isn't increased with this single marker that they see on scans everyday. I know that many trusts don't report if seen in isolation (for eg. in Wales where I work) but they mention them in England. Soooo, have been a bit worried, consultant reassured me that she has never seen a case where there's been a problem with a baby with isoloated cpcs, and current advice is not to offer amnio where this is the case....But of course I will still worry myself to death!!!
Anyways....onto important news about the sex. Sonographer was 100% sure (got a very clear open-legged view that it's a ....

BOY!!!!! . Very, very surprised indeed, but happy too!!! So 'Matilda Grace' it's not to be. No idea about boys names, or anything 'boy'. Help!!!

kayzr · 28/01/2009 21:28

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boys are lovely!!!

You have really really cheered me up. Thanks!!!!!!!!

GruffaloSoldier · 28/01/2009 21:33

Diege · 28/01/2009 21:33

Thanks KAYZ . Just read back and seen your news about dh - so sorry, what a horrible thing to have happen. You sound like you have a very good attitude though, and fingers crossed dh will find something soon xxx
