Good morning

Diege, are the poorlies all gone? Business with sister, long old story, but the long and short of it is that because mum came up here to help us out (for the first time ever I might add) sister threw a wobbly at mum because mum wasn't there to look after sister's kids, as she does every single day.... big history over this obviously!

Star, yes, it is very different being able to go out on my own! Must say, as much as I'd still BF now if I had any choice, there are some big advantages to formula

Kay, sorry to hear about lady who died. It is a bit weird when one of the regs die, I used to work in a... ahem hairdressers () and we had a couple of the old girls die, one of the other hair dressers used to read the deaths in the local paper every week to see who wouldn't be keeping their appointment Hope DH's job is safe, new hours sound a PITA.

Right, will finish catch up later, as long as the day doesn't follow yesterday's pattern, had friend come round yesterday morning, she left and mum rang so I was on the phone for an hour to her, then by the time lunch, naps, bum changes and feeds were done it was time to pick DS1 up, spent half an hour at the school while one of his part-time teachers coo'ed over Mikey, came home and next door neighbour came round for an hour and a half, then sister rang and I was still on the phone to her when DH got in at 6.30! Fingers crossed it's a bit quieter today! Right, shower time, 20 minutes late, good going so far! xxx

kayzr · 27/01/2009 07:57

Morning!!

DS1 slept all night and DS2 slept from 12 until 6!!! I feel great for the first time in ages.

I've decided to start cycling again. I used to do it when I was younger. I need to lose 5 stone so it should help.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/01/2009 08:23

Mornng all

Hope everyone is ok today.

Cycling sounds good Kay

Hi Nat

Bit of a short post this morning. Back laters

byeeeee

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/01/2009 08:29

ps have added one of saturdays scan pics to my profile. Its the black and white one.
Not great as I had to take pic of picture as I can't work DH's scanner (no idea!!)

Cosmogirl · 27/01/2009 08:45

Morning,

GYo - that is another really good pic. Such a cute nose and lips! Does she/he look like you or DH? Or can you not really tell?

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/01/2009 08:50

Hi Cosmo

How are you doing? How is your countdown to Mat leave?

I think that Gyo-ette looks just like DH on his mothers side of the family- quite bizarre to see that likeness on just a scan. Will look forward to see if it looks so similar after its born.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 27/01/2009 09:06

Morning all!!

DS is off nursery yet again!! His blistering on his lip has come back.... means i can stay in bed till 8ish, but also means i have both of them all morning!!

Had my GTT test yesterday, wasn't too bad...i just hated the fasting!! Got to phone for results between 10 and 11am today, then have my MW app at 1.30pm today... also need to go to the post office.

My little nephew is just adorable, he looks very similar to what my DC's looked like at birth so its brought back memories, and made me very very broody for my little one's arrival!! Actually had a bit of a show on saturday night, it was a smallish chunk of jelly with a very tiny streak of blood in it, i know it was a bit of a show as it was exactly like my shows with the other 2, but i've had no pains or anythign so not been to hospital, it was very small compared to what a full show is. I'd felt a little swollen down there for a few days beforehand too, so thinking baby might have just been really low and loosened a little bit.

Did skim through the last 2 days chatting, but completley forgotten everything!!- typical of me!!

Diege · 27/01/2009 09:09

Morning! Absolutely freezing here, but dd2 is better so back at school today. Just hoping the phone doesn't ring saying she's poorly again!
NAT, that sounds very much like my sisters. I am lucky in a way that I live quite a long distance away, but two younger sisters still live close to mum and dad and the daily politics that go on are unbelieveable
GYO, I think your piccy is really good - you can tell exactly what baby GYO will look like!
KAYZ, good plan about the cycling, and hurray for the good night's sleep at last
Well I have been awake since 3.30am worried sick about this blasted scan . It's not until 3.20, so have sufficient time to get worried again, though have to get ready for London which will keep me busy. Will get some piccies this time anyway, as dd2 wants to take in for show and tell . Her friend's mum is expecting a baby the week before mine, and showed photos last week, so dd wants to do the same.
Hope everyone is well xxx

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/01/2009 09:12

Good luck with the scan Diege. Will be thinking of you.
Morning Glask, fingers crossed for the GTT results. keep us posted...

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/01/2009 09:14

BTW Glask, congrats on being Aunty! Not said it yet. Great news - hope everyone is used to him being a little boy now

kayzr · 27/01/2009 09:16

Good luck Diege. I'll be thinking of you this afternoon. Are you going to find out the sex?

Diege · 27/01/2009 09:29

x-posts GLASK. Good luck with results today
Not going to find out sex I don't think KAYZ, though dh isn't as set on not not finding out as he was if that makes sense? . He says he doesn't want to know, but he doesn't not want to know - it's up to me - but I detect he's not 100% behind finding out so we'll have a surprise I think (although I am 99.9999999999 sure it's another girl)

kayzr · 27/01/2009 09:33

I hope that babyDiege keeps his/her legs closed then for you. I suppose after 3 girls it will probably be another girl.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/01/2009 09:34

Ah lovely to have another wagon surprise Diege.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 27/01/2009 09:37

ta ladies- i'm sure the GTT results will be fine, never had it before, and the MW and nurse yesterday said i'd probs be feeling different if i were... and i've lost loads of weight from being sick this PG so i'm probably around my ideal BMI anyway now!!

Hope the scan goes well Diege.

Diege · 27/01/2009 09:38

I think dh just wants to keep his hope going as long as possible for a ds , hence not wanting to find out today. He loves his girls though, and dd1 is into everything a boy would (stereotypically) be into - ben 10, power rangers, some footie cards - match attacks or something??, so I think that's as good as he's going to get His fault anyway with his girl sperms...

GruffaloSoldier · 27/01/2009 10:10

Morning everyone,

Diege your DD sounds like my 6 year old niece. Into Ben 10 and power rangers big time!Has been a tomboy since she was a baby, and she wont wear girls clothes!

hello everyone else.

Gyo - pic is great. I was wondering if you had any inkling of what gender baby Gyo may be?

I am so tired this morning, dont want to go to work and have a babysit straight after work which will probably be a late one so am feeling glum

Hope everyone else has a nice day!

diege - good luck with scan how exciting

Playingthe9monthwait · 27/01/2009 10:28

Morning all,

Good luck with your scan Deige.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/01/2009 10:45

morning tink, playing and gruff

Gruff- my only inkling is what I've always had since conception, which is that its a boy- but there is no evidence at all! I know others have been sick with boys but since I wasnt that ill, I think that is what reinforced that it might have been a boy at in the first few weeks! Really dont know though... Am definately feeling less strongly what sex it is now as its getting closer so will have to see.

I dont have any preference at all which helps I think! I love playing the guessing game all the time but it has been annoying when chosing all the boring unisex items for the baby!

lastboxoftampons · 27/01/2009 10:46

Good luck today Diege

Hi to everyone else!

Astarte · 27/01/2009 10:48

Good luck for the scan Diege.

Hope the test results are fine Glask

I went to IKEA yesterday with money from my mum and bought a wardrobe for the baby and some shelves for the DS's room.
I got someone to find and load the shelves, then they loaded them into the car, then I asked the neighbour to carry them into the house
I unboxed them and carried up little bits at a time and built them up all by myself
Now all the babies clothes are put away and all the boys' toys are properly stored We're getting there, slowly.

Diege the kids went in the pool on Saturday and when I looked in the next day the water was akin to a swamp, so we've a new rule. No one is allowed in the pool until the baby has been born in it, after that it's open house!
Exceptions apply after 8pm of course, when me n Dh get in and have lovely chats about our days
That reminds me actually it'll need emptying and refilling again tomorrow.

Scan pic looks fab Gyo, very detailed. Was it weird to see the baby in that much detail at all? It looks like a girl btw.

Still not at anxious to get the baby out, still quite enjoying being pg tbh. Have given some thought to a sweep at 39+1, but i'm thinking maybe not. I might just let her come on her own tbh. What do you think?

Tink I have been converted to pink!
I have always loathed the colour, in any hue, but everytime I pass the Dd's room a little bit of me goes 'aw!'.
I blame you and all your shopping links to pink stuff grr!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/01/2009 10:54

Morning Ast!

Very impressed with you doing Ikea at 38wks preg- not sure I could face it now !

LOL about kids making pool a swamp... glad you are enjoying it though!

Do you really think it looks like a girl? Its funny, I've been looking at the pics and wondering myself

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/01/2009 11:02
