Cosmogirl · 24/01/2009 11:56

Diege - I will be 35 weeks plus 3 days when I leave work. Wanted to go sooner but ended up with last day as last working day of February.....

Cosmogirl · 24/01/2009 12:03

at wagamamas.....also my fav place. Love the chicken katsu curry and yaki soba. Yum yum, enjoy

Astarte · 24/01/2009 13:56

A BOY!!!!!

Diege I hate to disappoint you, but I'm not having a 71 pound baby

lardybump · 24/01/2009 16:12

I have really done it now.... had the day from hell yesturday and I feel like really poo about it all. I cant stop crying and dd doesn't want to know me....

Went to toddler group yest which is in a school. The car park was full of coaches so instead of letting dd walk I carried her incase the coaches moved and knocked her over. Anyway I fell keep hold of dd but only her bottom half so she fell head first onto the concreat (sp?)I then fell on top of her onto my tummy. I couldnt get up so we sat there for five minutes in the rain screaming. I went into shock and so did she. Lovely lady from toddler group then took us to A&E and we stayed with her all day until dp came home.

Spent all day in A&E yesturday they checked dd over and she is thankfully ok after a scarey five minutes where we couldn't wake her up. Baby's hp was fine and there were movements so they didn't do a scan. I have sprained my ankle and torn the ligaments. I am now house bound for a while and can not drive. Have physio on friday to check the ligaments as the swelling was very bad and she said that it may be just bruised ligaments if so will be able to drive after physio has seen me.

The sound of dd's head hitting the floor has haunted me all night and I have not slept a wink. Her face is a mess although the swelling is going down.... The thought of it still gives me the shakes and makes me sick..

moosma · 24/01/2009 16:17

Oh LB, you poor poor thing, you've had the worst luck recently haven't you Glad your DD and baby are ok and that you haven't broken anything! It must've been horrible for you, are you alright now? Is DP looking after you?

lardybump · 24/01/2009 16:26

DP is doing all the housework and cooking. He is looking after me very well. I feel like such a beached whale now slobbing on the sofa. I have so much washing and ironing to do that I could of done with out this..... For once I hope the baby doesn't come early...

moosma · 24/01/2009 16:32

Forget about all the stuff that needs doing, that's what DP's there for at the moment! Just sit down and rest and snuggle up with your DD, children's memories are very short, she'll forget all about it long before you do, and she certainly won't blame you for it, so neither should you. Enjoy your sofa time and watching DP work!

tinkhashertinklet · 24/01/2009 16:42

oh lb poor you you rest and take carex
guess what i went to ........

NEXT

kookykid · 24/01/2009 19:02

Oh, LB, that sounds really really awful. Poor you and DD. Glad your DH seems to be rising to the occassion though and is looking after you so well. Take this time to rest and recover, everything else can wait. Great that all is well with DD and Moos is right, she'll forget about it soon enough.

Tink, no suprises that you've made it to NEXT already! Bracken is going to be the best-dressed baby ever. Great news about her weight too - well done to you both!

kayzr · 25/01/2009 06:35

Morning,

LB, Poor you and DD. I hope you are feeling better today. Make sure you rest and Moos is right, DD will forget all about it.

Tink, why am I not surprised you have been shopping. Good news about her weight too.

I have been up since 4. DS2 woke up and as it is the weekend DH got up and did a bottle and fed him. Then DS1 decided to come into our bed, I spent 45 minutes taking him back to his room, then I gave up. But he still wouldn't go to sleep even in our bed so we have got up. DH and DS2 are in bed still.

moosma · 25/01/2009 11:04

Hi Ses, I'm alright thanks, DH is convinced I'm pg. He says my boobs are bigger, I say that's because I've put on 4lbs recently. I have a (ahem) sore fanjo area which I had when I was pg with DD2, I say that's because I got a bit carried away with the epilator! I've got loads of spots on my face which I say is because AF's prob due on wednesday but he says I'm not grumpy enough for that to be true! I'll let you know on wednesday!

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 25/01/2009 11:09

Oooh! Fingers crossed Moos!!
It is easy for DHs to be convinced every month but I hope he's right!

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 25/01/2009 14:04

Quiet in here!! Hope you're all having fun!

I'm just off to a baptism - my godson's 8 month old brother.

I started a thread under employment issues earlier here

No one's answered but it is a bit long and involved... If anyone gets a minute to have a look and tell me what they think, I'd appreciate it!

kayzr · 25/01/2009 16:19

I'm trying to sort out a holiday and I am failing miserably. We're not too sure where we want to go. The Lake District would be ideal though. It needs to be accessible by train incase DH hasn't passed by then and fairly cheap!!!

It is so hard to find anywhere that we both like.

Astarte · 25/01/2009 17:32

Hi everyone

Moos God you're good! What's the cervix doing? Don't bother telling me you haven't had a rummage 'cos I know you have lol. You'll last until Wednesday?!? Really!?!
KNUF (knitting needles up fanjo - hurty!) Can't remember what we all said it meant though

2BG I hope you're not quite as sore now. Always frightening to fall when not pg, so hope you're ok and being suitably molly-coddled.

Gyo can you post any pics up of your scan? What's the detail like? Not long to go until you're off either, so exciting for you

Ses will have a read of your thread after this post and get back to you.

Gruff & Cosmo you are hurtling towards Mat Leave , before you both know it you'll be back peddling away from the top of the list

Diege ....I know, I keep falling asleep before the end of the CD, I'm hoping that's exactly what will happen in labour too Hope you had a nice meal and very of your free massage day.

Nat well done for braving the weather and heading into Town, good for you on losing the weight. I never want to admit that it's important to me, but it so is . I hope you got some lovely stuff

Tink did Gordon Brown ring and wonder why the economy was stalling further? Very pleased feeding is going well for you and the pic on your profile is absolutely beautiful

I'm getting there.....

Kayz we stayed at Center Parcs in Whinfell in Sept/Oct and the kids loved it. Would that be an option?
This time of year they have some fab deals on (code: SAVECP) should save up to 30% for a mid week break depending on when you want to go.

Has anyone heard from Playing? She's not got long left at work has she? Wonder if she's okay

Glask of newborn snuggles. Hope your sister has adjusted ok, must've been quite a shock she got!

LB I hope you're doing okay sweetie. What a horrid thing to happen I'm sure Dd will recover faster than you and likely never remember the fall, but bless you I bet you feel sick everytime you relive it, as we all would.
Glad your Dh is looking after you, he must have got a shock as well.
Hopefully you'll have good news at the PT and you never know it might be the trigger needed to induce you a little early should you still want that. If there;s anything I can do, just let me know

and finally.....drum roll please.......

Hello to LBOT, KK, HN & Star hope you're all well

Nothing doing here, Dh has took kids to MIL for tea so I can rest, I'm off for a bath after all that typing

kayzr · 25/01/2009 17:44

We would love to go to Center Parcs but we have to go between the 25 July and the 7th August to coincide with DH's holiday. Its so expensive.

Astarte · 25/01/2009 17:50

Jesus!
It would be £750 for a mid-week break during those dates!!! That's fecking astronomical .

kayzr · 25/01/2009 17:55

I know.

We have found some lovely places that are fairly cheap but they require us to be able to drive. I suppose DH could pass his test then we could go camping.

I suggested a week in Whitby and DH laughed at me.

moosma · 25/01/2009 18:32

'fraid I'm not that good Astarte, I tested this afternoon - BFN of course, I'm only 7 DPO (I think). And I know you won't believe me but I haven't been checking CP (well not since about 9 days ago when it was highish, openish and softish), I'm too sore at the moment!

GruffaloSoldier · 25/01/2009 19:17

Blimey Astarte that was quite a catch up there! Very impressed though Puts my measley offerings to shame.

I have just got the hugest relief as I have filed and paid my self assessment tax return online so I am feeling very chuffed with myself

Moos - sorry for BFN but how exciting though!Keeping everything crossed for you.

Ses - read your thing and Im afraid Im non the wiser. Think you will just have to wait and see what they say. Does sound a bit unfair though.

Kayz - you are going to just have to make sure DH passes that driving test!I love camping but not sure I will be up for it this summer unless I have a really good baby which with her heritage is very unlikely

kayzr · 25/01/2009 19:32

I have no idea what DS1 would make of camping. DS2 would be none the wiser I don't think.

I will just have to make sure he passes.
