Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Diege · 23/01/2009 09:21

Hi Nat, x-posts there. That bloody sorting office number is a real pain. They do pick up eventually (I mean 20 mins of ringing or so)but I usually end up booking redelivery on web (50/50 success rate). Good luck with retrieving the enevelope! My 'lost' coat of dds turned up yesterday, 4 weeks after it had been sent out
Congrats on weight loss too!! Shame you don't live nearer, we could have gone through my jeans-stash (yes, I have about 17 pairs of non-maternity too..)

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 23/01/2009 09:28

Morning!

Diege- lovely idea to book a spa day! Think you defo deserve a really nice treat.... Get booking girl!

Morning cosmo- shame you arent on FB (do undertsand why thou, often drives me mad!) 67 days! eek that sounds soon! Guess mine is 14 less than that!

Nat- no worries about the piccies...very amused you have had experienced of the knitted boobies... Good luck in town, hope its not rainng as much where you are!!

Gruff- enjoy the bumps/mums class thing

Kay glad you had a good day with MIL and a bit more sleep last night.

Tink - great to see you on, glad all is going well with feeding etc. Just seen the picture, she is really gorgeous. How is DD1 taking to her?

LB sorry for ongoing discomfort... glad MW is being supportive though.

Im sure I had some BHs last night. only 2, but felt like ring of tightening across bottom of bum and into lower back. Woke me up! Was really quite painful- think I might be completely in cloud cookoo land if I think Im going to give birth without pain relief! As Im sure that is nothing like the real thing!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 23/01/2009 09:38

lots of x-posts there!

Cosmogirl · 23/01/2009 09:44

Thanks for putting pic up Tink - wow, she is really beautiful - well done you! Looks so cute in the little hat too.

Diege - nausea unfortunately still with me all day every day, some days stronger than others. Haven't been sick for 26 days or so though, which is good I suppose...

Diege · 23/01/2009 09:48

Am booking as we speak GYO Am putting my £190 pregnancy grant thingy towards it too, and am paying for friend to come with me (a surprise for her birthday). Just hope there's still availability!
COSMO, I bet you can't wait to feel 'normal' again - it's really rough feeling sick for so long - I don't know how you cope with it and work too
Well, I have just e-mailed a doula. Very tentative enquiry at this point, but feeling quite excited too!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 23/01/2009 10:00

ooh lovely- let us know what you book! I love spa treatments of any sort! (who doesnt!!) I've got a mothers to be massage and pedicure booked for early feb- was my xmas present. Cant wait!

2beautifulgalsandasnowglobe · 23/01/2009 11:29

Morning everyone, i am trying to keep up but you all move so fast, by the time i have caught up i have forgotten what i have read

I've just slipped on the muddy verge outside our house!!! Only fell on my bum, but hit it hard and now can't sit down. Felt like sitting there crying....

Tink- Braken is gorgeous, i saw her on your FB, glad she is feeding well, how is DD1 taking to her?

Glask- anymore news on your new neice? Was shocked at your mum and sister dragging her around town. Hope you are feeling better.

NJ- hope town goes well and the PO haven't lost your parcel. Congratulations on the weight loss, has it been a conscience effort or just from being so busy with 3? My DH says he doesn't ant anymore after this one but refues to go get the snip! IT is a macho thing!

Diege- hope you have a good day and manage to book your spa day. I have asked for one from DH for my birthday in just over a week. Think mine will be on my own though, would be more exciting with a friend.

LB- hope things are better with your DH, sorry for Discomfort/pain, hope the support will help or you get your induction.

Happynappies- welcome back.

Kayz- Glad MIL wasn't her usual self yesterday and supportive in your breast feeding. Are you goin gto make the complaint.

Cosmo- sorry for sickness.

GYO- Could well of been BH's last night. With DD1 i didn't have any. With DD2 they started around 20 weeks and this one i only get them when i have had a GOF and O

Hello to everyone else sorry if i have missed anyone. Think i may have to lie down as can't sit tailbone is too sore

Astarte · 23/01/2009 12:15

Just quickly...promise will catch up later

Coorie sling has just arrived and inside was a little card for 10% off, which it says can be shared with friends.

I have 12 days until my sweep and 17 days until I'm due

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 23/01/2009 12:31

Morning Astarte and 2BG

2BG- ouch, that really is painful landing like that. Hope it doesnt hurt for too long. Sounds like good excuse for a spa treatment to me. Faxing over a rubber ring to sit on to ease pain!

Astarte- thanks for disount offer on coories. I've been meaning to order all week so will do so now!

17days..... we will soon need an Astarte syndiate!!!

NatalieJane · 23/01/2009 12:37

Cor nothing like a bit shopping to perk you up is there?!

Only got one pair of trousers, was too worried about not being able to try them on (Mikey in sling, DS2 in his buggy, and me all in a changing room? I don't think so!) but did get two lovely wooly jumpers and a blouse thingy and a top and some socks for DH Also managed to pick mum's thing up, I can't believe her, there is a lot of cash in there, I wouldn't have even sent it, let alone with only a stamp on it! But am now in a pickle, when I say a lot of cash, I do mean a very lot, not sure why she's given him so much? It is over double what she had given DS1 and 2 when they were born, and I know she can't afford it, not just after xmas, well not unless she has won the lottery without telling us! I don't know what to do with it, he doesn't need anything worth that much, she can't aford it, but she would be very offended if I even tried to give it back. Am still in that she posted it - will be having words about that, but what do I do with it?

NatalieJane · 23/01/2009 12:42

Sorry, got so carried away forgot to catch up on this mornings posts!

2BG, no I'm not dieting or anything, didn't think there would be much point till 6 weeks PN so I can exercise as well, to be fair I'm not eating very much, just don't fancy anything (except the usual chocolate and crisps!) but I am eating enough. Sorry for your bruised bum - hurts like hell, feet up and rest lady!

GYo, thanks, we just managed to miss the rain somehow, I think it is one of those days where everything is damp and wet and miserable looking, but it hasn't actually rained

Ast's syndicate? I might get chance to join it this time, I missed Tink's completely!

NatalieJane · 23/01/2009 12:47

Oh and, I got a letter from the hospital today to say that they have forwarded on the results of a urine sample they took "at a recent visit to the hospital" I am to contact the GP in a couple of days to discuss treatment...... for one, I have no idea which sample they are on about, I had so many done, it could just be from when I had the kidney infection, and two, it has been nearly four weeks since I had to aim my wee in a little pot, wouldn't any problem either have sorted itself out or become more apparent by now? And 3, why can't they just write in the sodding letter what it's about?

kookykid · 23/01/2009 13:09

Have my scan date!! 18th March, so will be exactly 12 weeks.

Tink - little Bracken looks so gorgeous and really alert! Congrats again.

Did you guys see that LaTour's nan finally passed away?

here's the link

Sorry to pop in and out - but have a lot of house work to do and DD's naps are getting shorter and shorter.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 23/01/2009 13:10

Hi Nat
Wow, how kind of your mum to send money- always trickey esp when you think they cant afford it... can you save it up for Mikey?

you can tell Im busy mning working today... only one posting every 5mins!

Really windy here, making the cat go mad....

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 23/01/2009 13:12

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 23/01/2009 13:46

Sister isn't yet in established labour- she's here at the moment, pottering about between contractions, and handy being only 2mins away from the hospital by taxi if needed!!

Just thought i'd pop in to say Hi.

DS2 is 6 weeks old today, I can't believe it. It has gone so quickly.

kayzr · 23/01/2009 14:51

Oh yeah. I got a parcel from Mothercare today. I thought it was wierd as I haven't ordered anything but wasn't sure if DH had. I opened it and it was a lovely Skip Hop changing bag that I really want. But it is actually for someone in Croyden!!!!

So I rang them and they have no idea how my name and address got on the outside of the parcel. They are sending me a paid address label so I can post it back to them.

Good for you re mothercare honesty. Would have been very easy to keep it!

Tink - great to hear you re planning your shopping return, im sure the local economy has been suffering whilst you've been busy giving birth

GruffaloSoldier · 23/01/2009 17:01

hello everyone!

Back from mw. Had blood test and then Rh- jab straight after with 2 mws so felt a bit like a production line but at least was over quickly.

Baby is head down at the moment and I fundal height is measuring 31 too. Heard a very loud heartbeat

Hi Gyo - bumps and babes was good this morning. Although when I turned up there was a room full of people who knew each other and my friend wasn't there yet. Felt a bit of a spare part as there weren't any more 'bumps'! Once my friend got there though it was nice. They told me there was a n antenatal pilates class on Thursday mornings, you just have to give a donation and only a few people attend so its quite personal. Am thinking of doing it!

Tink - your DD2 is beautiful, me and DH were awwing at her. bless she is lovely.gets me even more excited to meet mine.

Have forgotten everything else but hope everyone is having a good day.

Just updating

Diege · 23/01/2009 17:14

Hello! Just had confirmation of my spa weekend booking - very excited! We stay over at a very posh hotel in Chester, and have one treatment included plus use of 'thermal suite'. I've booked the elemis mother to be massage - not sure what I'm letting myself in for! Hopefully it will be a good surprise for my friend's birthday - she just knows to make herself available at the moment and to bring a swimming costume. Have booked her a facial as her treatment as I know a massage isn't everyone's cup of tea. Hope that's OK!!
GRUFF, pilates class sound great! I'd def go if I were you!
KAYZ, v.honest there with the bag!! I would be tempted to keep it myself esp as they'll just send another one out to her if it doesn't arrive...although karma-wise (and general all-round hiensty-wise) you have def done the right thing!!!
GYO - wow not long at all till maternity leave starts - very exciting!
Hi KOOKY - wow that 12 weeks has gone so fast! Great to have a scan date.
NAT, odd about letter, but that's the NHS for you . No doubt a urine infection which, as you say, has worked itself out of your system anyway!
Hi to everyone else - better go as dds are demanding tea!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 23/01/2009 18:34

ooh Diege- thats the same massage I've got booked... will have to compare notes

Hi gruff glad MW was ok etc. Did the injection hurt?
