Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 22/01/2009 08:42

Morning!

Glask - fingers crossed for your sister! V exciting!! What's her due date? about cat but it's a really brave decision and sounds like the right one for you guys.

NJ - glad things sound like they're going well. Hope HV is pleased.

Kay - hope you had a better night.

Sorry got to dash. Busy day of store visits. Hope everyone has a good day!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 22/01/2009 08:47

Morning

Glask- so exciting about your sister being in labour! Is this your first niece/ nephew? Sorry about the cat... must be really hard to have to make that decision but Im sure they will find a nice new home.

Morning Nat- so lovely to hear about the smiles from Mikey

Having a weird day today. Lots of heart racing/ feeling faint and SPD pain to contend with. Contemplating going home but doesnt seem to make any difference where I am- still feel odd so might as well be at work!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 22/01/2009 08:47

sister is due 2nd Feb, so in 1.5weeks really... but hopefully i'll be an aunty very soon!!

Cat is a very sore issue- i cried loads last night when i told DH i couldn't cope anymore with him, and i know the other 2 cats will miss him loads, but i can't put up with his behaviour anymore!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 22/01/2009 08:49

ooh x-posts, hi Ses. Hope visits go well...

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 22/01/2009 08:54

GYo- yes its my first niece (if they got the sex right!! haha), I'm the oldest of 3 girls, and the middle one hasn't had any children yet- youngest is only 18 and she's the one expecting... i was young when i had DS, and again with DD, and now i'm 23 and expecting DC3.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 22/01/2009 09:03

right i'm off for the morning- still not feeling 100% so have kept DS off nursery again, can't face the possibility of throwing up on the way to nursery!!

I keep feeling better in an evening but then wake up again feeling terrible!!Also going to see if i can contact any of my family to see what's happening with my sister!!

kayzr · 22/01/2009 09:04

Morning,

Night from hell part 2 last night. DS2 would not go to sleep. I got 3 hours sleep and I feel like death.

Sorry about your cat Glask.

Yay for Mikey smiles!!

GruffaloSoldier · 22/01/2009 09:15

Morning all,

I am 28 weeks today - WAHOO!

Im just tucking in to my porridge and blueberies!Me and DH are at home this morning so we are going to try and do some more tidying/clearing/putting baby stuff away!

That is exciting about your sister Glask! Poor you re the cat - hope you're ok.

Kayz - sorry for your bad night.

NJ - hooray for smiles

GruffaloSoldier · 22/01/2009 09:17

Sorry hi to Gyo and Ses too. My brain is not good at the mo!

Gyo sorry to hear you are suffering!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 22/01/2009 09:18

Kay- sorry for bad night. Was DS1 any better?

Hi Gruff- porridge sounds good! Good luck with the tidying... makes me glad Im at work

28wks too! WOW its really going fast!

GruffaloSoldier · 22/01/2009 09:23

Yes Gyo - its very scary and exciting all at the same time Whats scarier is that I have my Rh- jab tomorrow

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 22/01/2009 09:24

Ah it doesnt hurt as much as everyone makes out, is also over in seconds!

Astarte · 22/01/2009 09:32

Morning everyone..

Feel like a zombie this morning. Kids are very excited about the pool, me less so, knowing I'm now on constant life guard duty.

Tried out the Tens last night as my back was quite sore. It's a revelation! Think we might buy one for general use.

Might be on later......

kayzr · 22/01/2009 09:44

DS1 was great. We think he sleep talks though. He was chatting to himself and we think if he had been awake he would have come into our room.
Going to MIL's this morning.

GruffaloSoldier · 22/01/2009 10:02

Thats reassuring Gyo - thanks

Hi Astarte, thats good about the TENS, I think I will rent one and give it ago.

Hope your MILs is ok Kayz

Diege · 22/01/2009 10:12

Morning!DD1 back at school today - funny how she feels well again on first day of swimming lessons . Have midwife at 1ish, then need to dash to school to see dd2 in a tuba show, so if appointment is more than 10 mins late I'll have to walk, which I will be very cross about! Hopefully get to hear the heartbeat today
NAT, that's lovely about Mikey's smiles . Makes me start to get excited about newborns all over again! Are you sure he's your last now??
KAYZ, sounds like you had a better night with ds1 at least! Not so good with ds2, but as you know par for the course I suppose!. It may be that ds1 is awake with the chatting - I think they get to the stage when they feel secure in their surroundings and don't feel the need to get up and go into your room, sort of a 'self-soothing' thing which shows a well-balanced child according to Richard Ferber. We believed him with dd3 anyway...

GLASK, as a cat owner myself I would say that's a good decision you've made there. Cats are quite aloof independent creatures anyway, so s/he will probably adjust fine to new surroundings. Congrats on being an auntie to be! Very exciting

GYO - you have the exact same name as my youngest sister, first and surname! Your middle name isn;t Elizabeth is it? Hope you're ok with palpitations etc...I think there was another post about this on mumsnet a few days ago - seems it's quite common.
Good luck with the tidying GRUFF - I feel tired just reading about it.
Hi ASTARTE! I can just imagine the pool/children scenario . Is there a 'lid' on it? Not that that would stop my lot!
Right, better get on. On and jeans no.3 arrived yesterday....skinny ones from topshop - fit like a dream and stay up with the help of a belt . Have also ordered another pair from ASOS (boyfriend style) so now have 2 pairs of bootlegs (one under, one over), one skinny, and a boyfrined cut ordered. Have also placed pre-order for IO bootlegs. I think I need help

Cosmogirl · 22/01/2009 11:25

Morning,

Ah Nat, Mikey sounds so cute! I am so curious as to what our baby will look like....will it be more me or more DH - or neither?!...

Gruff - if it helps I found the RH jab didn't hurt at all really. She did it in the top of my thigh so quite a lot of skin there which might be why. I found the blood test in my arm hurt way more. It ached for ages afterwards and made my arm feel quite stiff.

Nauseous again today - God this is getting boring now! I can't wait to not feel sick all the time. Think I've forgotten what it feels like to feel normal and to be able to eat what I like when I like! (sorry - moan over!)

tinkhashertinklet · 22/01/2009 11:54

hi

oh how exciting glas good luck for your sis
my milk has come in ouch

lastboxoftampons · 22/01/2009 11:59

Hi everyone:

Just caught up and promptly forgot what everyone said Will do my best

Nat Congrats on the lovely smiles! That's so sweet!

Deige on the mat jeans! I don't have that many regular pairs!!!

kay I love when little kids babble to themselves. He is saying anything in particular or just gibberish? Most of the LO's I know get to a point where they "play" by themselves in their cots either when falling asleep or waking up. Think it's lovely to leave them there and listen - no need to go in if they're not crying!

GYO Sorry you're not feeling well and hope things start looking up.

Gruff Yay for 28 weeks!!

Hi Ses Hope you're well

Lardy Sorry about your fight with DH - hoping you've made amends by now. I know how it feels to be so totally disgusted with your partner! It's amazing how you can love someone so much and yet find them so incredibly frustrating!

Nothing much to report here. 14 weeks tomorrow - next midwives appointment three weeks from Monday.

Astarte · 22/01/2009 14:13

Hi
Diege they haven't been in yet because they can't stop fiddling with it and I've told them until they leave it alone/stop playing with the controls, they aren't going in

How's the feeding going Tink?

Nat I reckon you'll have one more Must have been so nice to spend that time gazing this morning.

LB I had a terrible time when pg with Ds1, we nearly split it was that bad. Took a long time to heal the rift too
Hope you are okay and he grovels soon.

Cack! I can't remember 'owt else.

Nesting urges are starting, have just gutted the Dd's room and cleaned it from top to bottom.
Ironing pile the size of me has gone!
About to do our room (not bad), then bathroom (again not bad), then the dreaded Boys' room (have shut the door so I can't see it).

M/w has just dropped of the last of the birth pack so we are good to go.....when I've cleaned up

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 22/01/2009 16:27

So my sisters waters have broken, was having contractions every 5mins at 7am this morning, was sent home with an app for the morning for a blood test and an app for saturday to be induced if she hadn't had her by then.

After getting let out of the hospital though my mum and sister dragged her shopping round town [shcok] i mean are they stupid? the poor girl was in labour and had to endure 3hrs of shopping to please them just becasue 'they now had the day off work and could do with a look in the shops'... how selfish is that?? she was texting me and i only live a 5min bus ride from town so said if she wanted to come here to relax a little more she could, but she didn't want to brave the bus trip alone and they wouldn't come with her!! They are supposed to be her birthing partners!! She's been texting me for advise and re-assurance all day!!

Anyway the contractions are getting more to 3mins apart now, and more painful so she's going to get dad to give her a lift to the hospital when he finishes work at 4.30. So i may be an Aunty very soon by the sounds of it!!

Really upset about having to re-home my cat, but i know its best for myself and the kids now. He's started pooing around the house now as i've removed the bathroom mats he used to pee on... i can't wait till DD2 arrives to see if it is just becasue of me being pregnant- thats another 3mths before i'd know and then i'd have to make this hard decision all over again!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 22/01/2009 16:43

oh and 2BG- I hadn't forgotten about what you asked the other day.... moses basket/pram sized fitted sheets here in the smallest size, i measured it for my moses basket and it'll fit. and i used a few codes as some would run out after using a couple of times.... so i used: 2788, 2797, 2809, 2803, 2751, 2784 & 2744.... if you've already used them then let me know as i have a few other codes. if you're only ordering one lot of them then i have a code for £5 off and free p&p- its either 2714 or 2741.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 22/01/2009 16:51
