Hello,

Just popping in to say i had a baby boy, Finley on Thursday morning! I didn't have to be induced in the end because i went into labour on my own at 9.30pm on Wednesday night. He is lovely and very contented.

He wieghed a whopping 9lb 8oz I stayed in hospital until lunchtime today. Very happy

EachPeachPearMum · 17/01/2009 20:12

stripeywoollenhat · 17/01/2009 20:17

mssparkle, congratulations! welcome to finley! very glad you didn't need the induction

LackaDAISYcal · 17/01/2009 20:19

just passing and had to say LOVE your thread title

oh, and tallulahbelle had her twin girls on 31 December, I notice you have her on the still waiting list

hkz · 17/01/2009 20:19

Congratulations Miss Sparkle...glad you didn't have to be induced and he decided to come out on his own!

Have served the baby eviction papers... now lets see what happens...

Fym- I've been on maternity leave since christmas and have spent at least half of that time glued to the internet...I'll never be able to look after two children or go back to work at this rate

Just ordered thai curry. Feeling seriously achey after long walk today... I walked at a snails pace the last 20 mins, the tops of my legs are killing me! Hope it did some good...

missjackson · 17/01/2009 20:20

Congratulations MsSparkle, that's brilliant news.

I don't think I ever told you but I used to be a producer on Big Brother (please don't shoot me, we all need to earn a crust!) so very funny title....

missjackson · 17/01/2009 20:23

ps just in case anyone feels they haven't spent enough money already, www.greenbaby.co.uk have a sale on.

EachPeachPearMum · 17/01/2009 20:44

YAY! Congratulations MissS Welcome Baby Finley!

LenniEd · 17/01/2009 20:49

Congratulations MsSparkle! What wonderful news to start the new thread with and love the name too. I wanted to call DS Finn, but DH vetoed me.

Wow MissJackson - bet that was an incredible job! And sounds like you really have given up an amazing line of work for your baby. It'll be worth it though, believe me but must be taking some getting used to.

I used to be a BB fan, was addicted when pg with DD but just don't have the time nowadays, in fact hardly watch any TV at all. Except for occasional Pingu/Peppa Pig/Little Red Tractor moronathons when I'm under the weather and DD needs entertaining.

Hope monitoring ok Tree.

Snuffling coming from carrycot... must go

LenniEd · 17/01/2009 20:52

Just spotted news on FLF on her labour thread:

This from JuicyLucyToo -

Fourlittlefeet gave birth by VBAC at 4pm today to baby Hugo.

Mother and baby doing well.

Full story from Mum when she gets home (hopefully tomorrow) and is settled.

LenniEd · 17/01/2009 20:53

Congratulations FLF!!

stripeywoollenhat · 17/01/2009 20:57

fantastic news flf! this new thread is working really well, eh? congrats and welcome to little hugo!

hkz · 17/01/2009 20:58

Miss Sparkle- Visited Green baby website in a bored moment this week and ended up buying all sorts of lovely sale stuff...complete bargain...hiding the parcels from DP...that's another downside to maternity leave, I've ended up becoming an internet shopping addict.

And Congratulation FLF and welcome Hugo! Hooray, more babies

elkiedee · 17/01/2009 21:06

Excellent news for FLF, welcome Hugo.

I sent dp to the Green Baby Islington shop this week to buy a couple of their luxury cellular blankets - not cheap but we ended up with a couple for ds1 and he still really likes them and likes to hold them. Clearly we can't take his and give them to his brother so needed more.

ds2 will inherit the moses basket cot sheet though.

I love drooling over the catalogue but it is a bit pricy for me.

treedelivery · 17/01/2009 21:24

Now thats how to kick off a new thread!! Brilliant title and brilliant news. And a vbac too, we're kicking ass ladies!!

Just in from monitoring, hopped into nightshirt and bowl of cereal. All well, a beautiful trace if I say so myself. So feeling really up beat, maaybe hadn't realised how muchwas niggling me about movements. Nice day today too, enjoyed being pregnant for 1st time in ages as not tired, tightning or hormonal!

Got Green Baby vests at babyshow - couldn't aford otherwise. Fabbo ones that open up so don't go over the bubbs head - I can't get those things on at all. Drool indeed, be ace to be rich. Sigh.

surely we get a prize for thread title? It's ace!

hkz · 17/01/2009 21:36

..meant missjackson in my last post...

In moments of boredom I keep browsing all the baby stuff....could spend a fortune...but alas I don't have one...some am limiting myself to the odd sale item here and there...before the reality of maternity pay kicks in

Tree- Glad monitoring was a success and you are feeling up beat...pass your positive vibes in this direction please!

treedelivery · 17/01/2009 21:41

Hmmmm maternity pay

Boredom and internet shopping - a deadly combination!! I'd rather green baby/gltc/urchin vouchers or even paypal funds as pressies this time, if we get any. Dunno if get the influx of gifts with dc2.

Last night my mum is here before she has to go home to work nights. Could do with podding really, be very convenient!

stripeywoollenhat · 17/01/2009 21:43

tree - really glad about good trace.

have bought little flowery trews for small one, unable to resist the cuteness of green baby....

now on couch with hot water bottle on lower back, pains seem to have settled down a bit but moving around really uncomfortable. guess this could take a long time...
