EPPM good luck for tomorrow (you're going straight for ECS aren't you? no induction..) if nothing happens before ~(fingers crossed for you)

Ah- we're all still around then?
We had a lovely day with DD... but DS decided not to crash the party!

dog- I know what you mean about playing up- DD is very anxious, even started asking questions about what it means to die this evening I was a little unnerved by that one! We've never spent a night apart, and we've gone over what will happen the next few days and what Nana will do, etc but she is still nervous about the actuality of it. (She adores her Nana btw, so I'm not worried about how they will cope at all, but I am going to miss DD so much, especially as I have no idea how long I'll have to stay in after. Was only 48 hours with DD, and I hope I will be well enough to manage same again- added impetus will be to get home on her birthday of course!)

We have to be at hosp at 7:30- just hope we can get there through snow.... it started at lunchtime here, and is sticking well.

I think they can just smell your tension tbh, IYSWIM- they know it's a hard time for you, so play up, bless them.

Good luck EPPM - I hope you make it home for DD's birthday and everything goes smoothly for you. Am sure she'll be fine - not sure my DD even noticed I'd gone through the whole trauma of labour, she was more excited about having stayed at nannie's house than me coming home with a baby

It would make a lot of sense that DS is picking up our tension. We had a bit of a nightmare afternoon today, with an altercation about seats that led to us getting kicked out of a Wetherspoons in Wood Green (they have highchairs and are better than most of the local cafes there) - the woman we had a row with was a nasty bitch but we both totally overreacted as well. We then went to Costa Coffee where dp stupidly left a tray in ds's reach with the result that a cup of hot chocolate was spilt on ds's buggy, coat, dp and on my skirt, fortunately not on ds himself and not that hot. I cried about being thrown out of the pub as well, I just felt so humiliated but still angry with nasty cow.

well eppm - hopefully you are at the hospital now..... I can't see where in the country you are but we have 6" snow (near Heathrow)

Hope those of you scheduled to go in today, or anyone who needs to get there, has made it safely to hospital.

OMG, I'm due to have my consultant's appointment at the hospital this afternoon and I don't even know how I'm going to get there. We don't have a car and those on this street are buried under loads of snow, all London's buses have been withdrawn from service . Our tube line is the only one running normally (it's the only one which is completely underground is why) and I would try to get that into central London and out again, but I'm worried by "severe delays" on the Northern line. I think I'm going to ring cab companies and see if I can book a taxi. I'm not sure if I can reschedule this appointment, given it's 41 weeks today.

This is London, we don't have snow like this here, it's still falling. Freaky.

We got thrown out because we were stupid and said a lot of things to her. She was rude, but also even when she got her way she decided to pursue revenge and get us chucked out. She had left her coat to bag a table for 4 people and gone to the bar, and she told me I had no right to move her coat, etc etc. I questioned her need for a big table, she was meeting friends. She put my back up and I responded fairly sharply, but not as much so as dp. I guess all the staff knew was that we were being abusive, which we were, they'd have hardly seen how rude she was to us (which she was).

just going stir crazy here.... snow looks great but can't even walk out to the bin, it's a good 6" and very slippery...

a few aches and pains but nothing much...probably a good thing as it's quite difficult to travel anywhere round here at the moment and I bet midwifes are short staffed and will find it hard to get here and don't fancy a trip to hospital with the roads as they are!

I can't believe the snow is as bad as we usually don't get much snow.

Getting loads of calls and texts now asking if baby's here yet....
