I know what you mean we would struggle without a car..

kayzr · 08/01/2009 21:01

I reckon he would accidently on purpose leave loads of stuff in the boot though when we went to ikea.

lardybump · 08/01/2009 21:03

I went with my friend and my dp has banned me from going without him ever again.... I spend over £200!!!!!! opps...

kayzr · 08/01/2009 21:10

LOL, we did that too. But you get a lot for your money there.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 08/01/2009 21:14

Hello everyone!

Need to do a big catch up as I've not been on for 2 days as work has restricted access to MN! and Facebook.... was too knackered to come on last night.
Thankgod im working here tomorrow!

Will read up on the news but quickly wanted to say good luck LBOT with your scan tomorrow!

We have our 4d scan on sat, so excited. Hope it goes well!

GruffaloSoldier · 08/01/2009 21:18

Hi there GYo!

been waiting for you to come on! I got a place on NCT antenatal classes! im so chuffed!when do yours start? Must be soon as mine start beginning of Feb!

thats terrible about work restricting internet access

kayzr · 08/01/2009 21:25

How dare they restrict MN. Don't they know it is essential!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 08/01/2009 22:30

OOh hi Gruff
Mine also start start of Feb! Tues 3rd.

Did you just get email about change of teacher? Wonder if its the same class!

Im finding it very annoying not having access to MN. They've blocked all the fun pregnancy related sites... probably been monitoring my usage!

GruffaloSoldier · 08/01/2009 22:43

No I dont think it is then because the one we are doing are full day courses on two sundays then a half a day on Monday. I think because we were on the waiting list they must have got enough people to do another class. Thats a shame though, would have been good to be in the same one!

GruffaloSoldier · 08/01/2009 22:44

can you go on MN on your phone

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 09/01/2009 06:51

morning all- i'm suffering from pregnancy insomnia i think- been awake since about 3am!! was knackered when i went to bed @ 10pm... wike at 3, had a banging headache, finally decided to come down and take painkillers at 4.30am, they worked, but then i couldn't sleep still, so i sat writing all my 'lists' for our holiday stuff we need, savings we can have, baby things i still want need and working out next months budget so we can afford to pay the holiday all off (as we booked it and paid our 10% yesterday) and also have enough for me to order stuff essentials from verbaudet, and also be able to have enough left over to convince DH that buying me a luna will be a good idea!!

Then when i decided to try sleeping again at about 5.30ish DH started shaking and jittering in his sleep, heavy breathing etc, was worried he was having a bad dream so led up stroking his back to calm him.... seemed to work but left me wide awake!!!! been downstairs since just after 6am!! and haven't do anything exept tidy the PC desk, and come online.

Kay- regarding potty training i did DS when DD was about 8mths, he was just turned 2yo, and i have to say he was brilliant and was fully potty trained within a week.... however DD has just become potty trained at 2y 8.5mths.... i was too ill in the first few months to consider it, and luckily she's got it herself anyway now, so its been easy peasy with both. I highly recommend the Gina Ford 'potty training in a week' book... dont follow it to the letter if you dont want to (i didn't) but its great to have as a 'structure' to follow in your own way.

kayzr · 09/01/2009 07:48

Morning,

Glask, sorry you have been up all night. Maybe it is practice for you. I might have a look at that book for training DS1.

I have had a brilliant night. DS2 went to sleep at 11, woke at 3, was alseep by half 3 and then woke up at half 6. I actually feel slightly human.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 09/01/2009 08:04

Oh i think it's my sleepless nights coming now (fingers crossed) as my DC's alway have fed for only 5mins a feed, so i can get way more sleep than expected in them first few weeks!! I also co-sleep for a few weeks too which i find much easier!!

lardybump · 09/01/2009 08:21

morning all. DD is ill again. She woke up at two this morning coughing her little heart out. She has a nasty cold and cough and she sounds really croaky...... So we are staying in today!!!!

I am so tired the house is a mess and we are just lazing on the sofa watching posman pat...... I will move soon.....

tinkhaslessthanaweek · 09/01/2009 08:27

Sesthinks2009willbeagreatyear · 09/01/2009 08:37

Morning all!

LBOT - hope all goes well. I'll be lurking for news!

LB - sorry DD ill again

Kay - yay for good night!

Glask - can't believe you don't sound knackered!

Tink - not long now!

Diege · 09/01/2009 08:45

Morning! Brrr it's freezing here - roll on the warmer weather. Hope and and dd get a restful day LB - don't blame you for takuing it easy.
TINKS, take it easy too in Tescos! Sounds like your body is gearing up!
GLASK, I have to admit I think I was have poked dh in the ribs rather than soothing his bad dream away . I hate that whole heavy breathing shuddering thing and always let dh know! Hope you're not too worn out today.
GYO about your work and MN!! I thought most places allowed surfing during breaks etc?? I get away with murder at my work on the internet as everything can be construed as 'research' in social science .
Well feeling a bit guilty (but not too much). Had arrnaged to put dd3 in nursery today as I should have been working in Cardiff, but as you know they cancelled (work). We've had to pay anyway, so have still put her in and we're (me and dh) having the day out in Chester . dd3 doesn't know any different, and this must be the first day in 9 months or so that dh and I have had the day together, so looking forward to it!
Hope everyone is well - I had bad sickness last night - just my body's way of telling me it still has some say in things...so am back on the stemitol for now. Speak later!

tinkhaslessthanaweek · 09/01/2009 08:53

will do diege
dad will push trolley perhaps i can sit in the trolley
not long till full moon

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 09/01/2009 10:50

OMG- its nearly 11am, i've been up for nearly 9hrs and i still feel wide awake!!!! I can't believe it.... maybe i should start getting up earlier!!

I have washed the pots, taken all pics of my pram to sell on ebay as DH has agreed to buy me DD2 a luna, and i'm going to buy the matching liner footmuff thingy, and matching baby bag, then i also need to buy a good freedom sling (can get for £16 brand new +p&p on ebay), and need to put another order in at verbaudet to get a different bedding lot (have fallen in love with their new ranges and with using the codes it is costing next to nothing as far as DH is aware.... I also got some socks delivered today from verbaudet they are so cute, and again, because i used a code they ended up being free!!

tink- you still have to hold that little madam in a few days longer- i'm determined to be right!!!

Diege- he has bad dreams about something that still haunts him from his childhood.... so i always worry when he has bad dreams. And also becasue he's heamophobic if he dreams anything about blood he can sometimes have fits in his sleep, or half wake-up then pass out and have a fit.... doesn't happen very often mind, and most times doesn't fully wake me, but if i'm awake when it happens i do worry so try and calm him!!
