I?m still pregnant lol as always! Nothing?s really changed, been getting a little tighter than normal but I think FiFi is trying to turn which apparently can make the uterus irritable as can the bad belly. Trying to convince myself it?s just a bug, just like Tink.

When I eventually got to bed last night Tink wasn?t well with her chest, I ended up giving her 10 puffs. She didn?t really get much better so Dad took her downstairs and slept on the sofa with her, which gave me about an hour before he had to go to work. I gave her 10 puffs instead of her one green this morning and booked her in with the GP. She has a chest infection but he said she wasn?t wheezy, although he thinks that may be from all the blue I had given her! He?s put her on antibiotics and given us some steroids just in case her asthma does flare up (they?re now aware that she?s so brittle an hour after walking out she will be in the middle of an asthma attack they just said she?s not having ? or even, as in the last attack, she walks in fine and starts the moment she walks through the examining room door!) Tonight TBD is sleeping in the single bed in Tink?s room with her in with him and I get the double bed to myself! We?re hoping to keep her in bed with the Noddy Christmas special in the morning, should give us until 8:30 if it works!

I?ve managed to get most of the presents I wanted, but I?m happy that all the children are sorted. The adults have to wait, including each other I?ve wrapped most of my presents and currently wrapping the last of my parents, but need a break as I can only wrap sitting on the floor and it?s killing my back! I?m rather chuffed with today?s purchase, I bought two presents for Tink that were £25 and £15 plus some chocolates and it all came to £23! No mistake toys are half price.

Dinky, I hope you manage to catch up with some sleep tonight!

ihavenewsockson I think there?s a few of us with PGP problems I?ve been on crutches for three months and awaiting an urgent referral back to physio. Don?t expect too much from physio though, they?ll go through posture and how to work with your back but they?re not likely to actually do anything to you. You may get aids if they feel you need them and depending on your Trust?s policy.

Glad you?re ok Neeerly. I had so much last time and from sex too , it is stressful so I feel for you. I?m with spotty; we?ve not done anything since the embarrassing incident where he asked Mum if we?d had sex the night before! Not because I don?t want to, he?s too worried. I?ve had a few friends offer me help with natural induction though

LBB, do they think we?re all alcoholics?

Happy Christmas all!

I'm a happy bunny - I got the Strictly live tour DVD, a Michael McIntyre gig DVD and a fondue set I've been nagging John for since our skiing holiday! YAY!

We're off to my mum's and then over to John's parents, so must go and pack! Hope you all get what you want...

Now this is what I call Christmas morning. No tearing through mountains of prezzies in 10 mins. Instead it's 2.5 hours of opening one gift, squealing with delight (DS not me!) and playing with it for ages before moving on to the next one!

He has only managed 4 so far so I have removed half of his unopened ones to give him tomorrow! Break for breakfast and a shower and we're back to it in a mo.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Eat drink and be merry this afternoon.

Merry Christmas everyone.
DS got a black 'n' decker workbench from my parents and we haven't opened anything else really cause we can't tear him away from the work bench. I'll post some pics on my facebook page over next few days!

Hope everyone has a good Christmas.

lol... i was awake before 7 but dd didn't come in til 8.15 and we got bored and woke ds at 8.30!

kids were so cute when they saw the santa stuff though... dd has proclaimed 'good santa' 'santa must really love me' and 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' at various presents

spotty, my 2 are like your ds, they [play with each toy for ages and i have to eventually remind them that there are more or it would never occur to them to open another! it's so nice that they appreciate what they get though, it makes spoiling them rotten so worthwhile.

they take it so slowly they still have a couple of presents from us to unwrap and then i need to get us dressed and get moving to my parents sometime in the afternoon........ could quite happily curl up on the couch and sleep though

merry christmas everyone, hope no babies try to break out during the festivities

Hello ladies and Merry Christmas, sorry, I've been crap at following the threads. But it was my last day at work yesterday, so theoretically I'll have more time for MNing. Glad to see TBM's still pg.

This morning, myself, DH and DD woke at 4.30am with the vomiting bug. DD1 had it on Sat, which seems a long incubation period... DH is SO ill, which means I've been lumbered with entertaining DD1 (4) and not ruining her Xmas, while holding DD2 over the sick bucket, and intermittently running to the bathroom myself.

Labour ward told me there's no risk to baby, so long as I stay hydrated. We were supposed to be going to the in-laws but instead we're at home and DD1 has had a laughing cow sandwich, some crisps and a pear for lunch!

merry christmas everyone,
cocodrillo, try not to worry too much about baby, he/she will be fine. I've just recovered (just) from 4 days of the bug and was really worried by day two when I couldn't even keep water down. Spoke to the midwives at hospital and they assured me baby would be ok even if I didn't drink water for a day. They said that all the nutrients from my body would go to baby and as a result I'd feel more drained (which I did!) but baby would be fine. Hope you feel better soon. Don't force yourself to eat and drink if you don't feel like it, just make sure you've got rid of the bug first.
I know how awful it is. I managed to surface properly today to cook lunch for everyone but now thinking of retiring to bed as worn out as first day on my feet for 4 days. (have now lost 7lb so slightly pleased about that!)

Report
Cocodrillo · 25/12/2008 14:55

thank you. Four days of it - how awful!

The worst thing is that I didn't realise how far gone my pelvic floor was after 2 kids and another on the way until I was kneeling over the loo earlier. Sorry, TMI !

oldkingcolewasaMOS · 25/12/2008 17:46

whats a pelvic floor? Don't think I've had one of those for 15 years!

Phew - that was a marathon day yesterday. DS is loving all his pressies and I got lots of chocolate so all is well in our house. Only three more days of PIL staying - they're driving me mad - am wondering if it would be rude to go out this afternoon and leave DS with them....

Cocodrillo - so sorry you're all poorly - get better vibes on their way to you.
