Happy Christmas LLB
Morning all, neeerly 3 hope you are ok ... twas a slightly criptic post.
MS i have a day like that too and i was so looking forward to it but...
Can someone tell me that these antibiotics/penicillin ( i dunno what they are ) amoxycil thingies are going to work I managed to take 3 yesterday and have just popped my 4th but im in bloody agony! Spent some of the night in tears because the whole of the left side of my face aches including my ears, all around my eye socket and my cheekbone actually hurts to touch. I have had sinusitus before but never this painful, cant breathe through my nose, cant smell anything, and it really really hurts. Am so fed up and miserable as wanted to be ok for tomorrow. I have a mountain of cooking to do today which i was really looking forward to but i just dont think i can face it. Ive taken some ordinairy paraceatamol but thats 8 in 24 hours now so nothing till lunchtime when ill have to buy some more - can i take any stronger painkiller than ordinariry paraceatmol? Any advice would be gratefully received as i am sooo fed up and tired from not sleeping.

I dont really care about being stuffed up its the pain in my face and ear that i cant stand and its making me super grumpy ... ffs i was really looking forward to this year as well as its the first one in Wiltshire and we are newly married

TBM hang in there! would be good if Fifi could make it till 2009 and you could have a relatively peaceful Christmas

PP bless did you really have to buy and wrap your own pressies? Thats a bit rubbish ... mind you i dont know what i am getting so it might be a bit of a hit and miss thing, but its nice either way, although the way i feel atm smiling is out of the question.

morning all! Have had a manic few days so am hopelessly behind with the last thread.

Neerly - are you Ok?

Rosie I hope your drugs kick in qucikly so you can enjoy the big day tomorrow. have you tried inhaling steam (boiling water in big bowl with towel over your head a bowl)? It may help your sinusues and if not, it will at least be great for your skin! Talk to the pharmacist at your chemist. they'll be able to tell you exactly what's what.

TBM hope you get sorted with tink's presnt today.

mery Christmas LBB. Hope you have a lovely time.

Our tree's been up for ages but we still need a few finishing touches in the decration department so that's my plan today. Along with chocolate log making and a bit of present wrapping. And those 3001 Things I have Forgotten I Needed To Do...

Morning all. Neerly - hope you're ok; was awake at that time but not online (got woken up at 5 by some drunken idiot crashing his motorbike outside our house - he was fine - as I got up to look out the window he was kicking his bike and revving it up really loudly - considerate in a residential neighbourhood, not!). Give your midwife/DAU a call if you're worried about something baby related hon - will keep my fingers crossed all is ok and that you and your loved ones are all ok.

Rosie - I had sinusitis really badly as a teenager. The amoxcil does work - combine it with paracetemol (which I have to admit doesnt really touch the sides but does help a bit) and steam inhalation - really steamy bathroom or tub of boiling water and towel over head - you look an idiot but it does help. Should be all better soon.

Pink - cant believe you had to buy AND wrap your own present. Your DP deserves a kick up the bottom from Santa this christmas to ensure he picks up his game for next year. Still at least you know you like what you're getting

TBM - it probably is the same bug hon; drink lots of fluids and take it really easy hon. Dry toast and bananas ok - and plain yoghurt when you feel better - but otherwise keep diet really plain and simple for the time being. If it is Fifi coming, you'll know soon enough - hope it isnt though so you can all have a chilled out christmas.

Markstretch -dont overdo it today lady! Though you sound happier today so hopefully your body has recovered now.

As DH and I were rudely awoken so early today, we decided to spend the time doing the deed (early xmas present for DH) and - sorry if TMI - my bits have felt really swollen since! Definitely not doing that again until long after Squiglet has arrived...

Off to test drive another car in an hour or so (DH seems to have his heart set on this one, even though it costs more and is less energy efficient than the last one we looked at which I really liked - such a man! Hope I like it) and then we're going to drive on down to MIL's in Brighton for a few days (assuming we can fit the five zillion presents we have to take with us in the car that is) so will be off line till after xmas. Hope all is - and stays - well with all of you and you have a good christmas with your loved ones.

Rosie second the bowl of hot water, put a blob of vapor rub or something in it too or some drops.
Have a look here maybe you culd get some info here that might tell you how long it'll take?

P.s Rosie - co-opt those teenage daughters of yours into helping out with the cooking. Has to be a major plus in having slightly older kids - all will be well and just think, this time next Christmas you'll have a little boy joining in the celebrations; that's the christmas you really want all to be perfect for

Dinky Lucky DH! John was telling everyone last night that when he went out for his work do on Saturday someone's hand brushed against his ahem intimate area. He said it was the best thing to happen to him for months!!!!!

heh heh dinky i would get them to do the spuds but they end up like oxo cubes but funnily enough i have been thinking about lo and this time next year ... omg if he is anything like his sisters he could just about be walking or on the cusp of it!

Ok well thanks for the advice, Im going to do the steam thing ... it does hurt to lean forward though - shall i add olbas oil or something?

Dinky thats weird cause i thought id give DH a nice surprise when he got home from work on Tuesday night in the form of some long awaited 'lovin' and i felt all swollen and a bit bleddy sore if im honest afterwards has put me off a bit but sort of feel obligated as we are newly married to at least ahem ... manage ... once a week iyswim. Have to be honest though and say i feel all bulky and not that keen but hey, your DH has it made today, a shag and a car! Woo lol Have a lovely Christmas ok and take care

LLB thanks for the link - ill have a lil look in a sec as just want to be even slightly on the mend by the end of today, have put this much effort in and really want to enjoy it

Neerly - clearly the morning for bonkage. Glad you're ok hon - take it nice and easy today.

Rosie - olbas oil (just a drop) is a good idea. You can also pop a drop of olbas oil on a tissue and hold it to your nose from time to time. Hope you feel much better for tomorrow.

MrsY - PMSL at your DH!

Right off shortly once DH has finished doing the 3D jigsaw puzzle that is packing the mini...

Neerly3 I had that last time, was about 33 wks, and we had a bit of you know what and I bled, it was 3am and I rushed straight to hospital and was put on monitor for half hour but was told quite normal at this stage and was prob just friction. They found no evidence of bleeding but ds was fully engaged so must have had something to do with it. Hope you ok now.

I'm so hot and ds is being a nightmare and I'm trying to pack for next 2 days and it's enough stuff to practically move house, and I have presents to wrap, and a bit of cleaning, and ds is being a nightmare and I'm so hot, am I repeating myself. Would it be really bad to have a big glass of wine now (not the pg thing, the not midday thing! I mean we're all gonna have 1 today or tomoz, right?
Oh look, more bloody baulbauls on the bloody floor. Gonna scream!!!!!

I'm in a lot of discomfort sockson, but don't think it's SPD, although getting the buttock cramping now too, so maybe. It helps if I stand on tip-toes, keeps pressure off my heel and doesn't run pain up my whole leg. Not for long though.
Hope you feel better soon.

I'll prob have one both days too. Might water down ith lemonade so can have more than 1 or 2.
Have hardly drank anything through this one as not as social as was with ds and am not running a pub anymore. I didn't drink loads with him, maybe 2-3 small glasses of wine a week/2weeks.
