Envelops (((((MrsY))))) in ample bosom.

laidbackinengland · 05/01/2009 17:00

Hope everything Ok Mrsy...thinking of you, John and Madam.

dinkystinky · 05/01/2009 17:01

Sending big hugs - and be well vibes- to MrsY, her little one and her DH; poor MrsY, she's really going through the mill at the moment. Really hope everything will be ok.

littleboyblue · 05/01/2009 18:28

america Goodluck for tomorrow, I'm sure everything will be fine. It's good they are checking it. Apparently my bump has shrunk. At 32 weeks I was measuring 36 and now at 34+6 I'm measuring 35, go figure, maybe they make all that up as they go along too.

Oh dear, Poor MrsY as if there hasn't been enough going on. At least she is in the best place and will be taken care of.
Thinking of you MrsY x

Went to hospital for our scan appointment, not only does bump seem to have shrunk, my blood pressure was a bit high, has been 110-120/70 and is now 170/90, I don't know what that means but mw had to go get a second opinion on it. They found protien, nitrates, glucose and blood in urine so that has been sent off and I am to call tomorrow pm for results. The consultant said if there is an infection, he will put me on a low dose of anti-biotic for the remainder of pregnancy instead of another standard course and if the glucose is high I will need to have a GTT.
Finally got to the scan bit, baby weighs 5lbs 7oz at the moment so is expected to be around 8lbs at birth but that's what they said last time. On the positive, if I can do (sort of) a 9lb 10oz, then 8lbs shouldn't be a problem so am feeling alot better about it all. He did say the baby is very long, his femur length is on the 95th line.
And it's definately a boy, I saw his little willy

PinkPoinsettias · 05/01/2009 18:42

glad the scan went well lbb.... hope the other stuff turns out to just be a blip and nothing serious. fingers crossed for you that the results come back normal.

littleboyblue · 05/01/2009 18:46

Thanx PP, sure it'll all be ok, it isn't anything that we've not come across before, just not all at the same time! Will be glad when this is all over.......
I posted on my FB status that I have a little willy in me, is that a bit too rude?

littlesez · 05/01/2009 19:48

ooh no sorry to hear about mrsy, what does pre eclampsia mean will she be staying in?

oooggs · 05/01/2009 19:51

mrsy - hope you are ok

neeeerly - we have just traded in our beloved Picassco for a C8, we had her 8 years and she served us very well

spottyshoes · 05/01/2009 20:06

Evening everyone.

Hope Mrsy and baby are all ok. Lets hope it's just the hospital being over cautious

Glad your scan went well LBB, sounds like your l.o is a good weight already.

I'm afraid I've scanned the many posts since yesterday and have promptly forgotten everything! Am v tired as have a busy day. Am also panicking slightly as have found out today that my mum needs to go into hospital for a repeat op on her eye and has been given the date of 19th Feb! I'm due on 24th and she is our only childcare when i'm in labour I really dont know what we are going to do.

I wondered why I couldn't see TBM's pics so am going to apply to be EVERYONE'S friend so that I can see all the pics when the babies come!

dinkystinky · 05/01/2009 20:09

LBB - glad scan went well and you saw the willy (dont think its rude to say its in you on facebook at all!) to confirm he's definitely a little man!

LittleSez - I think that pre-eclampsia can be pretty dangerous for both mum and baby; if they cant get blood pressure back under control (or other symptoms) they often induce women early to get the baby out asap. A woman pregnant at work at the same time as I was pregnant with DS was induced 4 weeks early due to pre-eclampsia. Both she and her little girl (who ended up with a birthday a couple of days after DS) were absolutely fine.

spottyshoes · 05/01/2009 20:22

Gawd I really wasn't friends with many of you, that took ages! I must have been pretty slow on the initial uptake or are you all trying to tell me something?

Neeerly3 · 05/01/2009 20:22

oh oooggs, glad to hear a good story about it - only setting us back a grand for a 51 plate, so we can save up for something to replace the Pug should we need it.

First day back at work today and I am sooooo ready for maternity leave to start! The walk to and from the loo is killing me!

Must go and Brain Train - brain age 57, I have a lot of work to do!

dinkystinky · 05/01/2009 20:33

Spotty - sorry to hear about your mum having to have an op again so near to your due date. Do you not have any good mates in the area who would be able to look after your DS and DSS while you're in labour? Or neighbours (at a push)?

spottyshoes · 05/01/2009 20:54

Thanks Dinky. All of DH's family live here in the City and my brother is nearby so will have to ask them but I haven't left DS with anyone other than my mum before and he will be really frightened if a 'strange' person goes to him should he wake in the night. Oh well - needs must eh?! Will cross that bridge when we come to it.
How are you - did you ever manage to get a decent nap?

mentalpup · 05/01/2009 22:15

Evening all
Am on the Feb list and just asked to join your FB group but just wondering if I am being slightly laid back about this whole pregnancy..... it's number 2 and I was just wondering how many of you who are due in Feb have actually already had your babies and how many already have their hospital bags by the front door? I have finished work but convinced that I still have the 7 weeks (if not 9) left!!!

littleboyblue · 05/01/2009 22:35

Hi metalpup We have had one baby born so far.
Think everyone now is adding the last touches to hospital bags, I have to pack nappies for baby and nightshirts etc for myself and then it's all done and ready. This is my 2nd too and nowhere near as ready as was with ds, had cot up and everything at 27wks last time!

I've just done a huge pile of ironing and most of it was for the boy that's not here yet! Back is killing me now.

oooggs · 06/01/2009 00:54

ready for baby!!!!!!!!! not me

I was super ready for ds1 and dts but this time is totally different, no bag packed, no clothes ready, no where to put him we have the builders in still and ds1 is on our bedroom floor, with ds2 in his own room (normally shared with dd) and dd in ds1's room in a travel cot - everything everywhere and I haven't made it to my due date yet which is in under 4 weeks.

Oh I am only up (after going to bed at 8.30pm) as dts have both been awake - don't they know I need my rest

mumoverseas · 06/01/2009 06:10

morning all,
huge hugs to MrsY, hope all ok with your little girl (and you of course)

LBB, were you one of us unlucky ones that had the sickness bug over xmas? If so, that may account for a slight shrinkage of your bump? I lost 7lb in 3 days and assume it must have gone from somewhere (sadly not my bum) so maybe my bump is a little smaller too. Baby sounds like a good size though so try not to worry.

Off to hospital in half an hour and hoping/praying that we will get a date for little mans arrival today. Will be great to be able to plan. I sympathise with everyone worrying about childcare for older kids. I thought we were all covered but just found out that my 3 closest friends will be away on hols around the time we think DS arriving. Need to start looking at plans D, E & F.
Hope everyone has a good day and no baby arrivals today please.
Please pass on regards & hugs to MrsY whoever is in touch with her xxx

littleboyblue · 06/01/2009 07:04

MoS No, no sickness for me, we were all very lucky.
Goodluck at hospital today.
I'm so tired, ds woke up screaming his head off at 6am. Went into him and he was soaked through! Think it might be time to go up a nappy size again.

LittleMissNorty · 06/01/2009 08:09

Morning all

I'm SO tired.....was only up 5 times as well so don't know why

Looked in the mirror this morning and its scary....everything is fat and puffed up now....even my mat clothes are struggling to fit over my bump...

Very icy here again today so unlikely we will be venturing out - again. Poor DD....not much fun for her

Sorry - moany post

All the best to MrsY....hope all is well x

dinkystinky · 06/01/2009 08:42

Aargh, just typed huge message then lost it, so here's the edited highlights

  • Morning all
  • huge hugs to all those suffering sleep deprivation due to pregnancy or existing kids (LBB - definitely new nappy time by the sounds of it! Poor DS!)
  • Spotty, sounds like some tea/playdates with DH's family or your brother may be needed in next few weeks. Am sure will all work out fine hon. And thanks for asking but no, never did get that nap...
  • MoS, fingers crossed you find a good solution. Would be great if you got a date today so you know what to plan to.
  • Mentalpup, lovely to see you back on the thread!
  • Oooggs, your house sounds more chaotic than mine! Fingers crossed end is in sight for you guys. I havent packed bag or anything yet - on to do list for this week.
  • Blooming Marvellous apparently about to go into administration; if you are ordering anything from them, use your credit card (so your money is protected if they dont deliver). If you have outstanding orders, try following up asap.
dinkystinky · 06/01/2009 08:43

Arse, forgot 2 more bullet points

  • LMN, if you cant be fat and puffy in the third trimester, when can you be hon? Steer clear of mirrors is my advice. Hope the ice goes soon.
  • MrsY and TBM, hope both you ladies are well and your little ones (in and out) are doing well.
Calico1 · 06/01/2009 08:54

Oh hope all turns out ok MrsY - thinking of you and little one.

Sympathy with the sleep deprivation to all the sufferers. I've had it easy the last week as DS has finally managed to sleep through the night - bliss. Of course I still have to get up for a wee 5 times a night but in comparison it is heaven.

littleboyblue · 06/01/2009 09:15

I just really shouted at ds, feel awful. I was in the bath and as he seems to have grown taller in the night, he reached into the sink where his bath toys were in their net bag that is broken and put them all in the bath, as cute as this was, I told him firmly "No" and told him mummy doesn't want to play with his toys, then the old toiletroll cardboard bits come out of the bin and into the bath, so I told him to get out, he waved bye, left the room came back a few secs later with a cushion off the sofa, straight In the bath, then he picks up the toilet brush and before I can grab it, in the bath. I really yelled at him.
He laughed and is now watching Balamory.

LittleMissNorty · 06/01/2009 09:20

buggers aren't they at this age LBB....I go through this regularly with DD....don't stand on that, leave the dog alone, leave the cat alone, don't touch the books.....etc....etc

She would wreck the place if I had a bath whilst she was up.....we have puzzles and ITNG stuff all over the lounge atm....but off for a nap shortly (both of us!)
