lixanismapolium · 22/12/2008 06:32

So excited to be starting my first thread!!!

Just had a BFP this morning a couple of days before AF is due and according to FF, my EDD is 1st September 09.

I have one DD (March 05) and had MMC in late September this year, so a little nervous but really ready for this.

Looking forward to a few more people joining me on here!

Peachy - just read you bit about us not having symptoms yet. Now I'm scared I might be having twins!! I spent about an hour at 3am this morning lying on the bathroom floor with horrendous nausea. I feel fine now though.

TrixieBelden · 06/01/2009 12:21

I'm definitely symptomatic at 4w5d. Windy as anything, nauseated, no appetite, nausea. If I remember my last pregnancy right, in about two weeks my appetite will come back as the only thing that staved off the nausea as it got worse was to eat. Constantly.

devonsmummy · 06/01/2009 15:06

can i join too?
tested on 29th and was negative but no AF and boobs aching so tested again on 2nd and BFP.
Have DS 26mths (Nov 06)
I,m 34 only for another 9 days though!
not to sure on due date.
last period was 6th Dec and have 22 day cycle so early September is all I know.
have doc tomorrow so will get a date then

Miamla · 06/01/2009 15:50

Thanks Miamla - you found me! And thanks to everyone else for the welcome. And, indeed, welcome to the new joiners - congratulations.

There don't seem to be many first timers on here - lots of knowledge to draw on from you experienced types :-)

It's weird to want to feel sick, isn't it. I've still had no symptoms beyond (very) sore boobs and a bit of cramping. Possibly a bit more tired and emotional but I'm often both anyway so it's hard to say. I'm only 5 weeks so it's early I know but it would be reassuring to have more.

Gracie - I know what you mean about when to tell work. I don't have the violence problems that you do but I do 12.5 hour shifts and might have to mention it earlier than I'd wish to otherwise. Specially if those symptoms do kick in.

PrincessLala · 06/01/2009 17:46

LJ29 · 06/01/2009 18:43

Hi guys, well without wanting to tempt fate my spotting seems to have settled. Haven't had any since this morning so fingers crossed. I haven't had any pain at all so I think thats a good sign. My tummy does feel just a little bit achey though. Has anyone else had this? I've seen a few mentions about cramps. It might just been that I've been a bit tense.

willsmum18 · 06/01/2009 18:58

hi everyone. For the last 2 days after midday i've felt so bloated that my belly feels like its going to burst. I'm about 5+4 today. The fatigue feeling hasn't kicked in yet. X

undercovermummy · 06/01/2009 19:10

Welcome to the new members

The cramps and achy pains are just your muscles and ligaments stretching to make room for our little apple pip (apparently at 4 wks that the size of it). Last night i had a really bad lower back, was really achy - reminded me of being heavily pg.

Sickness seems to be dying down - still there but much more manageable.

LittleCheese · 06/01/2009 20:11

Hi Ladies

Welcome to the newbies and congratulations. Glad to hear no one is feeling terrible just yet, I still feel pretty good although after standing up for 6 hours at work today I do have back ache, I wasnt expecting that till I have a big bump, 10 days till I see the midwife, I can feel myself counting the days

andi0411 · 06/01/2009 21:39

Hi ladies I my hope it's ok if I join you? I think my EDD is the 17th Sept. This will be my second child I have a ds who is 19 months and the light of my life. I used to come on here alot before I fell pg with my son in 06- i had several mmc before I conceived him naturally and we were about to start fertility treatment. Since I gave birth to him in June 07 we have not used any contraception although we have not been 'actively' ttc iykwim?
I got pos pg test last night- 1 day before my period was due so i am 4 wks today.
I look forward to getting to know you all over the next few months!!

Just peeking in to say congrats and good luck to you all. I was on the Due Sept 08 thread and just where you all are now this time last year.
I am now gazing at my adorable, wonderful 15 week old DD.

For the first timers (as I was) - it's a year of wonder and a year of worries but you will get through it and it's all worth it! Being a mum is hard but it is truly the best thing ever. DD is all smiley and laughing and was just a little tiny splodge this time last year.

Oh, and don't worry about labour - it'll happen and you will cope!

All the very best to you!

LittleRascal · 07/01/2009 06:50

thanks for the encouragement imoscarsmum! and to all the others popping in from sept 08 thread!
welcome andi!

feeling nauseous today again! feel like breakfast but keep staring at the cupboard and not finding anything I want!!!

kookykid · 07/01/2009 07:48

Welcome to the new bods!

Well, my tiredness has kicked in big time - fell asleep on the sofa last night when I was meant to be watching In The Night Garden with DD (she was NOT amused). I went to bed at 9.30. Driving to work this morning I really had to concentrate as could feel my eyes closing. Thank goodness this is the last day of my working week!

Officially I am 6 weeks today (although counting from LMP I am 6+3 - still confused!). Have a huge wedding to attend on Sat - DD is a flower girl (waht a nightmare) and I am doing a reading. So instead of looking forward to it I am dreasing it! Then have my granny's funeral next week . So, I'm not going to get much 'rest'!

Sorry for ramble... think I am avoiding getting started on my work.

kookykid · 07/01/2009 07:49

what is dreasing? meant dreading. Doh.

LittleRascal · 07/01/2009 11:27

sorry about your granny kooky. wishing you the strength to get through that (and the wedding!)
Lix- if you are still lurking- how are you doing?

andi0411 · 07/01/2009 12:21

Hi ladies thanks so much for the welcome it feels good to be back on here with like-minded ladies. Can I ask a quick question, if anyone can help me....I got my pos PT on Monday which was cd 27 of a 28 day cycle- i tested again this morning and no second line......I daren't be too optimistic as I have had my fingers burned quite a few times but i have never had a pos test and not actually being pg...even if it ended in MC etc..PLease reassure me that it's still early days- I keep looking at the post test and fretting.

How is everyone this morning- any symptoms?

lixanismapolium · 07/01/2009 12:22

Hi LittleRascal - I am still lurking to see how you're all doing ... how did you know????

I'm actually not too bad at all. Surprisingly good in fact. As it all happened so much earlier than the last time it was much much easier to deal with. Also, it has all happened naturally so no need for an ERPC, which is a relief.

We're going to try again straight away, so I'll jump back in and let you all know when we're back on plan. We seem to be very lucky and conceive as soon as we think about it, so I'm aiming to get myself on the due in October thread!!

Will let you know how I go with that one. Still thinking about all of you and crossing my fingers that no-one else joins me.
