So excited to be starting my first thread!!!

Just had a BFP this morning a couple of days before AF is due and according to FF, my EDD is 1st September 09.

I have one DD (March 05) and had MMC in late September this year, so a little nervous but really ready for this.

Looking forward to a few more people joining me on here!

sails I feel for you. You're really going through it .

Stealth I had my bfp on the 9th as well, but I can time things to christmas day I guess the latest it could possibly have been for you would be 28th/29th December, if it was a 12dpo positive. I'd be going nuts if I didn't know

Also thanks for the advice on telling people, kookykids, it makes a whole heap of sense.

silentlywondering · 18/01/2009 22:15

I had to tell work and my martial arts instructor due to safety. Have told my mum, sister and best friend in whole world because I know they will be there to support me if it goes wrong again. Also told my Sure start and homestart keyworkers as I may need additional support from them in the coming months. Anybody else can wait.

bratnav · 18/01/2009 22:23

Hi and congratulations to all the newbies, hello again to all the rest of you

More of the same really, tired, sore boobs, nausea that lasts all day. I have to admit that I had forgotten how truly grim the first 12 weeks are.

I promise that I have read all the posts, but nothing is staying in my head for more than 10 seconds at the moment.

Night night x

pooka · 18/01/2009 22:30

Sorry to hear about your grandmother sails.

My grandmother died this time last year and we all miss her.

KriKay · 18/01/2009 22:39

Hi there,

Havent been on for a few days, lots to catch up with!!

Congrats to all the new BFP's!!

Sails, I can sympathise with you, this is also our 3rd, and we werent ttc either. Found it really hard to deal with at first, but do feel better about it now. Im still not sure how we will cope, but Im sure we will! DD1 is nearly 5 and DD2 18months. Hopefully we can all support each other over the coming months.
Sorry to hear about your nan

Stay Frosty, I have hypothyroidism too, had overactive after DD1 born, and treatment for that has made me underactive now! My dose of thyroxine was increased by 25mcg as soon as poss after finding out was pg, then had montly blood tests. All was fine though, no problem. I think as long as they are keeping an eye on it, and adjusting thyroxine accordingly all should be good!

Hi to everyone else, need to go to bed, had long day at work!!

Hello All!

I had my BFP this morning, and now that I've scraped myself off the ceiling I've come to join you guys.

I'm pretty certain I ovd on 5th Jan so I'm a whole 13 days pg which gives an edd of 28th Sept. I've added my name to the list.

When my brain starts functioning again, I'll post some more.

Woo Hoo!!

Welcome Missie Moos!

Poor Sails - big hug

Being up this early is killing me, but not half as much as the short staffed 12.5 hour shift I'm about to start will!

silentlywondering · 19/01/2009 07:16

I should be used to being up early by now. I get a wake up call from my 3 yr old at about 6 every morning. however, it's taking longer than usual to come round after feeling so bad whilst making cup of tea for dh. didn't even attempt one for myself can't face breakfast yet, will try and eat some toast at toddlers!

KasiaK · 19/01/2009 10:39

Hi all!

Got my BFP yesterday, and an EDD of 23 Sept. It's my first pregnancy and I'm delighted and terrified and nervous and ecstatic all at once. Haven't had as much time to psychologically prepare myself as I'd planned as we got lucky first time round so we're a bit shellshocked, but obviously made up that everything seems to be working as it should!

Also my first time ever posting on a forum so I'm quite nervous about that too! Hope I manage to keep up with all the etiquette etc, but am looking forward to getting to know you all.

Have added myself to the list. Hope that's okay!

MissieMoos - you were on the thread that I was, the TTC September I remember you, congratulations. Also welcome to KasiaK, congratulations, it is all a bit scary/wonderful isn't it?

Can't wait for the second scan tomorrow, I think I will be 7+3/4, everything must be ok with this amount of sickness, surely?

babymadness · 19/01/2009 12:21

Hi All, I am new here but would love to join in. I got a BFP on January 10th and i think (Calculation dates in my new book!!!) all being well i will be due on September 16th. That makes me 6 weeks on wednesday! This is my first and we finally got here through the injection as I have PCO. Hubby and I are so excited but very very nervous about things going wrong. Symptoms....tired and eating lots, peeing ALL the time...especially when i get comfy in bed and mildly sore boobs, wich seem fuller. Feel a little nauseous some days and can't wear perfume! oh i get on and off period pains, which were really painful a week ago but seem to be getting better. Have an early scan on Feb 17th which willl be 10 weeks...to hear fetal heart beat, (early scan due to infertility stuff.) It seems like AGES away though!! i don;t know how i'm going to get through the next 4 weeks with all this worry!! Anyone else get the period pains?

HellHathNoFury · 19/01/2009 12:30

welcome to all the newbies
Babymadness yes it is quite common... they are called implantation or attachment pains.

thankfully my sickness has subsided, presumably to make room for my man flu. I am going to tell work tomorrow, I know it's very soon but I think I need to given how rough I am.

Snowfalls108 · 19/01/2009 12:38

Hi Babymadness,
I've got the period type pains. Worrying aren't they?

Very jealous of the early scan. I've got to wait until March 2nd.

Congrats to all the other BFP's.

September is going to be a busy month!

babymadness · 19/01/2009 12:39

oo, I forgot to say, i am having to unbutton my trousers !! this is crazy i'm only almost 6 weeks but gradually grow throughout the day....anyone else struggling to fit into normal clothes>?? hehe

HellHathNoFury · 19/01/2009 12:46

Don't be worried by the pains!!
If there is no blood/spotting it's a good sign, sign that bean is getting comfy ;)

I can't fit into my normal clothes but that is most likely as I am a fat heifer to begin with.

Snowfalls108 · 19/01/2009 12:53

HellHath - thanks for the reassurance! Nice to think that.
It feels just like the implantation pains I had (when I was having them I said to DH this is either AF on the way or implantation) on the right hand side low down.

Anyone else got evening sickness? I'm fine during the day but can't keep my evening meal down. Better way to have it probably.

Waiting is boring. Although I suppose at this stage no news is good news!

Anyone else in South-West London?

lemonmoon · 19/01/2009 13:03

Hello everyone. Can't believe there are more bfps congrats to you, missiemoos and babymadness.

I also had the period like pains, which means I now check every time I go to the loo, just in case. They've eased off now, but I'm trying not to worry about not feeling ill . Don't have nausea, just horrible horrible heartburn, and I am bloated like a balloon.

Not in South West, but South East, close enough to Kings which makes me happy.

Still no word from my midwife, who was supposed to call by the end of the week, so not sure if I should call the GP again, even though the midwife team isn't really present there. Would really like to hear from someone, and have some sort of date to look forward to.

HellHathNoFury · 19/01/2009 13:15

Am in W13. Just moved here.

bigbang · 19/01/2009 13:19

Just back from the GP, so the pregnancy is 'official'. She changed my due date to the 16th but I'm not convinced, so will stick with the 14th till the scan. I will have a booking appointment and scan around 12 weeks so nothing to do till then! Except fill in the massive stack of forms the GP gave me, all family history etc. Fun.

Sails, really sorry to hear about your nan.

I am also in SW London, will be going to Kings for scans/if anything goes wrong during the birth. We must live quite close lemonmoon as I'm not far from it either. Snowfalls where in SW are you?

Hope everyone is well, I'm still feeling good! Tiredness is a drag but no sickness yet.

HeadFairy · 19/01/2009 13:25

hello everyone. I haven't been on here for ages but like bigbang I went to the docs today and I'm offical too EDD of 17th Sept according to LMP. Can't see that changing much as we only bd'd once in December

The doc I saw today was super lovely. My usual gp was off today so I saw her and she was a bit bonkers (mega enthusiastic, practically cried when I told her I was pg ) but really reassured me about my mc fears... said that pregnancies after miscarriage are ok about 90% of the time provided the mc wasn't down to a genetic fault or some other complication (which mine wasn't) Starting to feel this is all a bit more real now. Won't relax until I see the little fella waving at me in about 6.5 weeks though!!

does anyone else keep forgetting they're pg or am I just the only dim person on here? I poured myself a massive glass of coke last night and realised I'd had four large cups of tea already that day so I shouldnt' really have had the coke. Had to pour it all back I very nearly bought a load of beers the other day too, as I was making a curry that night and thought a nice beer would be great... dur! What was I thinking of?

Snowfalls108 · 19/01/2009 13:40

BigBang - I'm in SW15.

HeadFairy - I was dying for a drink on Friday night - sent my DH out to buy my some non-alcholic beer!
