thats what running across a car-park does for you. obviously 'having kittens' is a euphemism.

oh shit oh shit oh shit. do I tell my mum and risk having my third false labour scare?

fourlittlefeet · 29/12/2008 21:54

come on lenni, you are supposed to go first. crack out a mug of raspberry leaf tea before you turn in!

LenniEd · 29/12/2008 21:55

Yes FLF - if it is the third false labour scare you'll laugh about it in years to come. And if not you'll be glad not to have to get her out of bed later on.

Moose - it was me I think. iPod audio books and resue rememdy nightime. I wake up with ipod and earphone wrapped around my head 6 chapters into a Jane Austen,

and have I mentioned Tens? Now wake up with it stuck to my leg or something [pads not very sticky at all]

One night all my wires will mix up and there will be an accident.

Rrayray - you are so right. But dh said he wasn't comfortable going to other houses [redundancy freak out reaction] so what could I say!? Will fling a few pringles on the table and nick best armchair early. No time to come over all Nigella - although I do have the cleavage for it.

LenniEd · 29/12/2008 21:57

Not today FLF - DD's birthday yesterday, could do with a couple more days in between! Besides I don't own any raspberry leaf tea and haven't sorted out a TENS machine and now I suddenly feel like I should have both. And I feel lovely and sleepy all of a sudden which I'm going to make the most of.

Ring FLF - you sound sure.

I did that too

fourlittlefeet · 29/12/2008 22:07

just phoned my mum, just in case. they are not very comfortable and I've had the necessary 'clear out' so we shall see. DP is currently running me a bath...

fourlittlefeet · 29/12/2008 22:09

feeling very nervous all of a sudden. what if this is it?! oh f**k.

treedelivery · 29/12/2008 22:24

Be cool. If this is it tonight then great cos you don't have to do it tomorrow night. If it isn't then it's really good practice and you'll be that much savvier next time.

Either way enjoy the bath and remember all that matters is the next pain Just get through that one.

fourlittlefeet · 29/12/2008 22:25

thanks tree [grimace] .

will keep that in mind!

treedelivery · 29/12/2008 22:27

It's amazing being a woman isn't it.

I'll be up ages if your labouring online. Thinking of you and sending calming dilating endorphin laden vibes

fourlittlefeet · 29/12/2008 22:27

thats just reminded me; its the same as running a marathon; you only focus on the mile ahead!

stripeywoollenhat · 29/12/2008 22:28

flf - good luck!

am very uncomfortable today myself - feel like i've been booted in the fanjo (no point in mincing words) so perhaps the little one is getting in position.

mm - 22 years! and there i was thinking 13 was pretty impressive...

treedelivery · 29/12/2008 22:43

Yes booted fanjo. It ought to be a medical term.

FLF you run marathons and through car parks and what crazy talk is this? I ran for a bus once, hurt my boobs!

Oooo wonder whats happening in your house?

rrrayray · 29/12/2008 23:08

FLF Am off to bed, all the best if this is the REAL thing this time!!!

Tree - 'tis quite simple... DH idea, therefore DH needs to call people coming and just chirpily ask them to bring something (obviously 1/2 people sweet things 1/2 savoury, preferably be even more specific than that) as your understandably very tired. Can't see anyone having any problems with that!!!!

MM 22 years. Well done you!!!

No signs of labour here, but not due till 20th. Off to bed, Scan at 8.40 am! Excited to see little Beanie on Screen again!!

fourlittlefeet · 29/12/2008 23:11

just had bath and am off to bed to see if they stop. ha. ray; careful - I'm not due til the 16th! good luck with the scan.

night all. will leave pc on and post if I have to get up in the night...

treedelivery · 29/12/2008 23:14

rrrayray - have had 2 people phone already offering to bring anything I like and come eaarly to set up so it'll be cool.

FLF - good luck girl! Sleep well or have a lovely baby. Nice options I think!

rrrayray · 29/12/2008 23:14

I'll be happy to meet little one after tomorrow, until end of tomorrow not far enough gone to give birth at birthing centre, so if labour wants to arrive this time tomorrow, fine by me!

FLF Hope you manage to get some sleep- you may need that energy if this is the real deal! Exciting!! Good luck/thoughts/vibes.

Hope everyone else is well. Off to put some warm olive oil in ear, apparently will help clear ear. How i long to HEAR again!!

treedelivery · 29/12/2008 23:16

Enjoy scan rrayray, sleep well and hope ear clears up. God thats gone on.

Is booted in fanjo feeling possibly a precursor to something? If it's not, it really ought to be don't you think? Wee one is a bit cramped now and has been stretching all day, very uncomfortable!! Have midwife appt tomorrow, but doubt my Atlanta midwife will understand 'booted in fanjo' question...
When are these babies going to come??? Good luck flf!!!!

treedelivery · 30/12/2008 09:14

Morning all. Had quite a good sleep - 12 till 8 with only a 4 year old climbing in to disturb me!

Still feel sleepy though. Plan for today - order more tiles for bathroom [don't care about money want a bathroom before this baby lands] clean house, tidy house, do NYE party shop, delegate NYE jobs, take dd to nanna's for a visit, have DIY pedicure.

See how I get on with that lot!

tinkwantsherbaby · 30/12/2008 10:27

wow moo - that is a long time we have been married 5 years

good luck - flf - i am due the 15th

good luck with scan rray
