Anyone due July 2009? Part 2

lucasnorth · 12/12/2008 17:05

Sorry, original title.

Anyway, hello everyone, I'm due 6th July (although no scan yet, so date will probably move). Excited but knackered and queasy so far, although having read (some!) of the last thread I've got off pretty easily so far.

OP posts:

yes i think you are being mental rattling, but you're allowed. I think you'd better adjust your trousers anyway for your own comfort! It's difficult though, I find some days I'm much bigger and even certain times of the day. Hello lollipoplady, you're due the day before me think my 20 week scan is 18th as well though.

rattling christiana I think its natural to worry, I worry everyday that something may go wrong. Every ache and pain is a nightmare!

I finally got to see my dr this am about my headaches. They had given me an appointment to next thursday but I phoned up and said I couldn't wait that long! She was very reassuring about the use of paracetamol, said its ok to take it in the normal dosage every day if needed. She said I could also resort to one of my migraine meds just to break the cycle if needs be. Not keen to do that so will stick to paracetamol when needed.

She also made a point of telling me to get lots of rest and chill during the day.....think I may milk that one!!

Just been to tescos and eaten a bag of smoky bacon walkers on the way home, yum!

QueenFee · 30/01/2009 13:34

Hi all
Welcome all newbies

I've been lurking for a while as not a lot to say. However i've got my tongue back now.

I wish I could get my sex drive back starting to feel a bit guilty for DH!

My next scan is the 18th feb too!

Feeling fairly organised got most stuff done now that I need to. (have had to sort out early in case I end up in wheelchair again and don't wan't to miss out on the fun )
I definately look pregnant as opposed to just fat now as people have started to ask if I am having another one so I can now waddle with pride.

muppetgirl · 30/01/2009 13:51

Hi all

I popped in at the very beginning and not been back since

I have ds 1 4.9, ds 2 14 months and are 17 weeks prgt with dc 3. I have had a consultant app today and are having a planned c-section due to large baby last time, he got stuck, forceps in theatre and 3rd degree tear (with yucky stuff aftwerwards) this is a weight off my mins as I have been worried about asking for a section in case they said no. They also want me to have the reapir surgery 12 weeks after the birth so that's a joy to look forward too!

I was a teacher but now am sahm which I flit from loving to wishing I was back at work to have a rest!

Looking forward to getting to know you all, I am still on the oct 07 thread (now post natal) and have really loved the support, fun and friendship that comes with these threads...

xxx

huge hugs ephrine I can't imagine how hard it must be to be getting to this stage and to have such bad news.

Just looked at the list and the 16th is getting busy!!

Not in the slightest bit interested in sex at the moment - hubby not too fussed though as he knows how painful it is with the SPD and is understanding luckily!!

Very very weird dreams - always running round trying to sort stuff out then wake up exhausted...just after DD was born was the worst time for me, constantly 'losing' her in the bed and thinking DH had laid on her in the night - even when she wasn't even in the same room anymore!!

Had a v scary episode when she was 8 weeks though so think that is what triggered my night panics! She stopped breathing whilst in her bouncer in front of me so luckily I saw straight away, got her breathing a bit and phoned the ambulance....apparently some babies like to do it to scare their Mummies and Daddys!!It got worse when I saw the hv a few days after as she told me bluntly that it was probably something like a cot death and if I hadn't been there then that would have been it. Not comforting. DD never did it again but I didn't sleep for about a month and I still check her a few times a night even now she is 2. Luckily what she did is v rare but now I am panicking about the new baby doing it too...going to make myself crazy I think. Anyways.......

Hugs to all xxx

ephrine - that is awful news. Hope you are getting lots of support.

Misspaella · 31/01/2009 08:15

Ephrine
I can't imagine how you feel....so sorry.

Newb · 31/01/2009 16:12

Ephrine. Really sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself - sending virtual big hugs during a horrible time.

Well after last night's exhausting nocturnal adventures, (or the dream kind that is....) took myself i hand and have been into town to buy maternity trousers. Ended up with jeans from C&A! (they still have them in Europe....) and trousers from H &M. Also found three tops in H&M that make me look thin. Was not expecting this.... anything half decent would have been a bonus. Needless to say, snapped them up quick. It's the least I deserve cos DH is off snowboarding all weekend (pah) Home now for cup of tea and a rest.....

ilikeyoursleeves · 31/01/2009 16:19

I'm so sorry to read your news Ephrine, how awful for you, I hope you are ok, take good care of yourself.

On the subject of dreams, OMG I had a well saucy dream about a colleague last night! As is REALLYYYYYYYY saucy! God knows how I am going to look him in the eye next week! (and he is quite dishy in RL anyway LOL). We had a full on encounter at his place (that wasn't actually his place at all) and we lay there talking about how we were going to deal with it and should we tell our other halfs or keep it a sordid secret etc. I was so worried in my dream but then woke up to both 'phew!' and 'oooo that's the most exciting dream I've had for aaaaaaaaaaaages!'.

I wonder what tonight will bring....?

Talking of tonight, I'm off out on an actual night out with adults (without babies!), woooo hooooo! DH is staying at home, I've not been out for months!

ilikeyoursleeves · 31/01/2009 16:21

Ooooo Newb where is your DH snowboarding? I am cos we would normally be somewhere snowboarding right now but with a 15 month DS and 15 weeks PG it's not really feasible!

QueenFee · 31/01/2009 19:12

ephrine I am so sorry. Please look after yourself.

I had a very very bizarre dream last night.. must be catching.
It involved DH and I walking very late at night in the woods joining a cround to watch a show which turned out to be a man doing very sexy things then I gave birth to a baby of a different race to myself (have to say she looked very cute) and didn't appear to question this at all! Then I was struggling to BF her in a back room somewhere.
Very Strange..
Had another exhausting day. I seem to go from lots of energy one day to absolutely none the next.

xxhunnyxx · 31/01/2009 20:01

So sorry ephrine take care of yourself {{{hugs}}}

Has anybody ever used a baby hammock? I was lookin at the reviews for cots and saw that everyone is raving about the Amby Natures Nest Baby Hammock. It's not cheap tho (about £140) so I don't wanna buy one as well as a cot. Also, my other concern is that baby can stay in it till about 12 months but then what do u put them in? I don't wanna buy a cot at 12 months but baby would be still a bit young for a bed. I know my mum put my bro in a bed at about 16 months cos he kept climbing out of his cot so it was safer for him to fall out of a bed than a cot! Any advice?

Not sure if anyone is aware on here but me n bf haven't really been together for about a month now but it looks like he's startin to miss me now, got some very lovely text messages (slightly out of character) off him last night so I'm really made up about that. I'm stayin strong tho, tryin to make him think I don't need him, was so tempted to ask if we can just sort things out or tell him I'm missin him but no..it's taken him 2 weeks to start missin me, hopin another 2 weeks will make him miss me even more!

I'm also havin very strange dreams, keep dreaming about random ppl who i hardly know or haven't seen in ages! I had a dirty dream about an ex the other night??!!!! N also keep dreamin about that I fall out with ppl but then I feel awkward around them. Strange.

Phoenix · 31/01/2009 20:07

hunny - I know someone on my post natal thread bought one for her new ds and he's slept in it about 3 times for a few hours at the most. Don't know anyone else with one though.

I think i've got some sort of UTI or cystitis never had either before but something isn't right. I'm drinking plenty of water and cranberry juice til i can get to the docs on Monday.

xxhunnyxx · 31/01/2009 20:20

Phoenix be careful with Cranberry juice, make sure it's sugar free other wise it'll do more harm than good. It's awful tho, hope u get better soon x

Misspaella · 31/01/2009 20:21

Welcome mylilmiricale and lollipoplady*.

Hope everyone is doing well this weekend. I am feeling particularly pregnant this evening with tummy looking more hard than soft. Finally.

Hunny I used a moses basket for my last 2 and loved it. I would take it with me everywhere and it was a hand me down so only bought a new soft foam mattress thing and stand for it. Hope you and your bf are doing ok.

newb what do your slimming tops look like? I need all the help.
