Anyone due July 2009? Part 2

lucasnorth · 12/12/2008 17:05

Sorry, original title.

Anyway, hello everyone, I'm due 6th July (although no scan yet, so date will probably move). Excited but knackered and queasy so far, although having read (some!) of the last thread I've got off pretty easily so far.

OP posts:

Phoenix · 28/01/2009 20:28

I'm planning to finish work about 4-5wks before due date.

I made my first baby purchase today. 4 Tommee Tippee bottles and a Tommee Tippee steam steriliser, even though i've still got bottles and a microwave steriliser from when ds was a baby .

SheWillBeLoved · 28/01/2009 20:48

Hello can I be in your gang?

I'm due 16th July with our first baby after a mmc in Aug 06. Had my 16 week midwife check up this afternoon and all is well, heard the babies heartbeat and he/she shocked the midwife with the amount of kicking < cue DP's boasts of a future footballer >

Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself, hope everyone is doing okay!

bozette · 28/01/2009 21:29

Hello everyone, enjoying hearing all your news.

I'm in that inbetweeny stage now. The ms has settled, and i just look fat rather than pregnant. I can't feel any movements yet, so at work snuck off and had a listen in to convince myself that there's a baby rather than all the pies!!

Another quality DH remark, we went to a wedding last week and i was trying a dress on a couple of days before: 'i'm going to have to walk behind you with a placard saying pregnant not just fat'!!! Bloody man!! Its a good job i'm not very sensitive!!

deleting · 28/01/2009 21:35

Hello soozze.
Glad I'm not the only one having mad dreams. last night was very scary. I'd had baby, had been feeding in the bed, fell asleep and somehow it had slipped into the duvet cover and was lost somewhere in there. DP woke to find me frantically searching for it inside the duvet cover. Was sweating cobs and it took ages to convince me to come out. Hoping for a quiet night tonight.
I'm joining the small boobs club as well, although they are slightly bigger now (well fuller really). Did quite a lot of bfing with ds and dd and they just went flat and flappy (aa cup), so this is great and can't stop looking at them. Nipples still dangling though, can't do much about that. I had a good nursing bra last time which they do in a small, will have a look for it and let you know the make, it was like a sports bra. Quite like the Elle MacPherson ones as well, but bit pricey.

deleting · 28/01/2009 21:42

i'm still wearing underwire, Ilikeyoursleeves. I know you shouldn't I think it's something about the milk ducts and blocking them as they grow or something, but I haven't got round to getting measured up again. I prefer the shape of mine in underwired, makes them more rounded rather than pointy.

xxhunnyxx · 28/01/2009 22:13

Wow it's been very busy on here since last night.

rattling ignore whatever measurement u got yourself, the old fashioned measurements are a load of rubbish! Get yourself down to John Lewis or M&S and get a proper fitting, I bet you're not an A cup, if I was to measure myself I'm about a B but when I go for a fitting and actually put bras on me I'm a C/D.

shewillbeloved welcome!! Your DP sounds similar to mine, he only agreed on our boy's name cos he thought it sounded like a footballer's name and when we went for the scan baby was kicking LOADS and even did a somersault and DP said ''yep thats defo a footballer'' lol. I find his enthusiasm cute tho

Please ladies don't think I'm mad but... am I the only one who is only just starting to realise that this pregnancy is actually going to result in a baby?..a little human being..who's going to grow in to a little child, a teenager and then an adult! This little person will be in my life for the rest of my life!! [gasp].
This all dawned on me when I realised that when the baby comes I wont be able to lie in bed half the day or just have some peace and quiet and time on my own. I've just been so wrapped up in the pregnancy all this stuff has kind of slipped my mind
And then I've also been havin thoughts like 'what if the baby doesn't like me? what if i don't love it like i'm supposed to? what if when it gets older we just don't get on?' Please somebody tell me I'm not the only person who has these thoughts!

ilikeyoursleeves · 28/01/2009 22:23

hunny your thoughts are TOTALLY normal, don't worry! I had the exact same thoughts when PG with DS, I remember having a wobble when I was about 30ish weeks pg thinking 'argh what have we done? How will we cope? What the hell do I know about babies?!' I also worried what if baby didn't like me and how I'd feel. I dealt with it by not putting any expectations on myself, to just go with the flow once baba was born. Some women have a total rush of love at the birth, some have it after a few days, others after weeks or months even- all totally normal. So don't be worrying hon!

You will still have time to yourself (when babba is asleep!), they sleep loads at the start and then they get into a routine ish so you will have time at night to slob on MN like me

Gillyan · 29/01/2009 08:59

welcomesoozze I've got a DD that was 3 on sat, she knows there is a baby in my tummy and eeps asking when it will be here and the other night she woke up and told us she could hear the baby crying so i think she's dreaming about it!

belgrano Hiya, My DP ordered it for me so I'll get him to check his order confirmation on his e-mail and tell you where mine was from - it's gorgeous, cost £35 plus £5 for delivery as ordered it of net as none in argos and none in mothercare. I'll get back to you.

BOOBS - I unfortunately have the opposite problem as hav massive waps! 38FF to start with and this morning I'm off to get some sort of contraption that might just hold them all in! Support bras are rubbish as they just fold in on themselves under the weight of my boobs. I don't care what they say I think I am going to try and buy a bigger underwired one even though not supposed to, or I might try sports bras!

See you later x

christiana oh my god yes! I'm even dreaming about sex (which I NEVER usually do).
My problem is my relationship with my fella is very complicated and his friend has just died so I've not even spoken to him in over a week never mind had any sex with him!! Even if I saw him I don't think he'll be wanting sex cos he's still grieving .
But I kinda feel like I should get as much sex in as I can now before I get too fat!! lol

deleting · 29/01/2009 13:18

xxhunnyxx - it's very normal. You get so wrapped up in the pregnancy bit of it you don't really consider what's going to happen when it comes out. Read so many books about the pregnancy and then when ds was born I was frantically reading up on what to do with him. I didn't have that rush of love that some people have, i think I was just too neurotic and nervous to relax and enjoy it. It all came gradually for me.

BonzoDoodah · 29/01/2009 13:45

I was being chased by the invisible man last night (in his clothes - that's how I knew) ... so the mad dreams are flowing over here.
Love the dream about the baby lost in the duvet. With DD I kept waking up in the night with my hand moving trying to find her in the bed - patting hubby's arm and head and thinking "this baby has grown a lot of hair". Stupid thing was we didn't co-sleep - she was always in the cot next to me - but I just dreamed she was in there.

Gillyan · 29/01/2009 20:53

Welcome and congrats to mylittlemiracle

SEX - me and and DP have had sex once last wk and once this wk - that seems a lot after nothing for moths - we were told no sex till after 20 wk scan because of the bleeds I had but not had any for ages and there was no blood after!

I managed to get 2 bras from Marks and Spencer and the lady who measured me was lovely - she said maternity bras are generally pretty poo but the M&S support bras would be better and she was right! They are doing a £5 off voucher for anyone who has a fitting to so I got that off too. All in all not too stressful.

Got a new purple strecth mark

17wks today and just itching for my scan now on 19th Feb

thelollipoplady · 29/01/2009 22:26

Hi - can I join too? I'm due 7th July with my 3rd - DD1 is 6, and DD2 is 3. Scan's not till 18th Feb, and can't wait to find out what I'm having. DDs think it's a boy - suspect they just don't want to share their polly pocket collection with another girl - I haven't got a clue.

thelollipoplady · 29/01/2009 22:28

... although i'm craving KFC Zinger burgers and beer - any ideas?

Newb · 30/01/2009 09:01

Well last night I dreamed I was working for the SAS and we had to go on lots of dangerous missions involving shooting people through doors. I eventually got kicked out cos I hid in a cupboard during a raid to avoid getting killed....

rattling · 30/01/2009 11:06

Had my first crazy pregnancy dream - similarly high octane to Newb. Had to decapitate a lot of "bad" people.

And had my first spontaneous nose bleed this morning.

So - all very pregnant. But I'm panicking. Not feeling quite so queasy and stomach is quite relaxed today rather than pulled tight. Wore trousers that were far too tight on Wednesday. Please come and tell me its unlikely I've suffocated my babies (they were tight below the bump, but very uncomfortable when I was driving for about 20 minutes).

So worried I've ordered a doppler as it's over 2 weeks till my next scan. I'm being mental - yes?
