Sorry, original title.

Anyway, hello everyone, I'm due 6th July (although no scan yet, so date will probably move). Excited but knackered and queasy so far, although having read (some!) of the last thread I've got off pretty easily so far.

QueenFeeUntoUsAChildIsBorn · 13/12/2008 22:59

beccabump lol at neighbours popping round "ooh you have a hottub how nice - must get ourselves one of those"

I have had a lovely day got a bargain as blooming marvellous shutting down in Chester got 3 pairs of trousers and a bra for £18 should have come to £140 so very pleased with myself! Will be nice to wear long enough jeans for a change as the ones I have been using were a little short. Thats the prob with being 5ft 8.
I also got myself 2 nice bras in Bravissimo so I am sorted for this preg now!

My sickness is getting better now I think so hopefully will start to enjoy this pregnancy a bit more.

scully · 14/12/2008 04:43

Hi ladies, no time to get on here this week, congrats to the new twin announcements Very sorry to read about the m/c, hope the coming weeks aren't too sad for you
Still very hot here (29deg at 9am this morning [shock ] and m/s still not being very co-operative. I'll be 10wks tomorrow so hoping I will feel better in 2-3 wks. Sorry, no other news, just feeling bleugh and trying not to be a total cow to dh and dd's 24/7

Baffy · 14/12/2008 20:43

Just marking the new thread

I have my 12 week scan and booking appointment tomorrow (although slighly early at 10 and a half weeks). So excited but also so scared. I hope any pray everything is ok with this lo. I don't think I'll sleep at all tonight!

Hope everyone's ok

woollyjo · 14/12/2008 21:13

Well after 2 days of feeling really uncomfortable I have dusted off my H&M maternity jeans -ooh so soft and lovely all round the belly (even if I have to keep pulling them up). Think I am going to have to give in and admit to being up the duff as only big coats and jumpers will hide it now. 12 week+ scan on the 22nd, all looked fine on the 8week one really hoping this is a goer as I'm looking a real pudding now.

lastboxoftampons · 15/12/2008 11:29

Hi all

More twins! My gosh! I'm almost afraid of posting on this thread!!!

Am 8 weeks today and going for a scan tomorrow am. Super nervous, but feeling suitably queasy, so I hope that's a good sign. Natty I'm also at Kings - was offered a reassurance scan as last pg was mmc - maybe I'll see you there!

Question for you all - did you find it harder to shake a normal cold when PG? I've had the sniffles since last Monday and it's not like me for it to linger on like this. If anything I feel worse today than I did last week. Nausea is not helping today

BonzoDoodah · 15/12/2008 12:59

Hey JetLi The first time round I was really ill with the flu at this time and was utterly wiped out. Felt dreadful - didn't realise it was a combination of the hormones plus the illness. But after that my asthma was brilliant! The best it has ever been. I hardly needed any medication all pregnancy. The only trouble was as soon as the baby was born it came back - hence the A&E trip. Hope yours starts to improve.

I've just found Waitrose Sea Salt and Black Pepper snacks ... OH MY GOODNESS ... yummy or what!!!!

lizzie9442 · 15/12/2008 17:18

Hi everyone. I am currently 10+3 weeks pregnant and woke up this morning to find blood. It wasn't that much and was kind of watery red. I am quite worried. I went to see the doctor this morning and have to wait until Wednesday to have a scan. I think this is probably another mc but just praying its not. My tummy feels really tender and I just feel horrible. I just wanna know whats going on. Has anyone else expreienced this? I have had two previous mmc and have 3 healthy children.

woollyjo · 15/12/2008 17:52

Oh Lizzie, I can't offer much advice on whether this is normal but I completely appreciate how awful the waiting to find out what is going on is. I've had 2 mcs and both times had to wait 5 days for scans.

Thinking of you, hoping all will be well

mavornia · 15/12/2008 18:08

sorry I don't have any advice/experience either, Lizzie but I hope everything is ok for you

hobnob57 · 15/12/2008 18:13

fingers crossed it's just a leaky placenta Lizzie. Will be thinking of you on Wed. Take it easy in the meantime.

SafferUpNorth · 15/12/2008 18:14

Hi everyone,

Just found this thread - I'm not usually a bid forum poster (more of a 'lurker'!) but I'll introduce myself.

Am due on 6 July 09 too; this is my first pregnancy. So far delighted that I've not been nauseous or sick AT ALL, just a little tired and emotional (shedding a tear at the slightest thing!).

My boobs, however, have totally outgrown me (I'm only 5 ft and have gone from small B to enormous C - a friend recently guessed I was pg just from my rapid increase in cleavage!). After wandering around in my sports bra for a few weeks, I've just today invested in roomy, sensible non-wired numbers.

Noticed BeccaBump saying she's going for a home birth - I am too, but need to wait and see re. provision here in Edinburgh. Doc says it's fine but have not met any midwives yet...

LargeGlassofRed · 15/12/2008 21:07

ooh found you! I thought everyone had gone quite

LargeGlassofRed · 15/12/2008 21:09

welcome saffer lucky you no sickness.
just wish I could turn mine off for a day

QueenFeeUntoUsAChildIsBorn · 15/12/2008 21:11

We will forgive you lgor as you have twice the hormones to give you baby brain! How are you anyway?
saffer welcome - I know how you fell about the boobs
lizzie finger crossed for you x
lastbox my last cold took about 3 weeks but it was this particularly nasty one that everyone seems to have at the mo

Phoenix · 15/12/2008 21:30

Welcome Saffer and congrats

I haven't felt too sick today, so obviously worried. I can't wait for all this worrying to go away (though not sure it really ever does).

I bought myself a lovely flapjack on my way home from work. Had my tea and sat down to eat it then realised it was a snickers one so full of peanuts. Very pi*sed off as i was looking forward to it.

Hope everyone's ok

Absolutely no chance of me having a homebirth. I had emerg c-section with ds and GBS so needed iv antibiotics in labour so might this time too. Plus i'm overweight so high risk.

LargeGlassofRed · 15/12/2008 21:41

thanks queenfee am so tired tonight, and have a 12 hour night shift ahead of me.

Although shouldn't complain really as just sat on the sofa playing on the laptop.

Getting fed up with evening sickness, not being sick just feel it,

How are you feeling queenfee?

lucasnorth · 15/12/2008 22:25

Hello lizzie; fingers crossed for you. Let us all know how you go.
Hello saffer and welcome
phoenix - I didn't know we weren't meant to eat peanuts? Or are you allergic, and it's not a pregnancy thing? (Really should know this, it's my second pregnancy )
Anyway must go. DH has been in bed for half an hour and will come and ask me what I'm playing at if I don't hurry up
Take care all xx

christmasiana · 15/12/2008 22:35

hello, went christmas shopping this afternoon with DH. got excited when got back and had two TINY glasses of mulled wine (really small)

then threw up

feel like an idiot

lizzie how are you now?

i'm eating peanuts. have heard unless you have a history of allergy that it is good not to exclude things from diet as can lead to MORE sensitivity in children. who knows though?

lizzie9442 · 15/12/2008 22:45

Hi, I'm not to good. I thought it was getting better but this evening had more bleeding which is not good

hope everyone else is doing ok

christmasiana · 16/12/2008 09:45

sorry lizzie, how are you today? i am really really sorry and fingers crossed everything ok

baffy how did your scan go?

lizzie9442 · 16/12/2008 09:49

The bleeding is even worse today its bright red and all I can do is wait

Misspaella · 16/12/2008 09:55

Morning all
Lizzie pls let us know how you are getting on. {{hugs}}

How is everyone feeling?
I am starting to feel better with MS not being too rampant. I hope that is ok as I am only coming on to 11 weeks this Wed/Th. Hmmmm

I have my midwife appt today and scan next Tue so feel like I will be able to relax for Xmas - I hope anyway.

Phoenix I never realised that you couldn't eat peanuts in my last 2pg and have been eating peanut butter in this one. Not to sound too swotty but I saw on the BBC last week that there is new research saying that eating them does not have a link to nut allergies. BUT if you do have family history maybe you should avoid them.

Saffy welcome!!

Hope everyone has a good day.

Misspaella · 16/12/2008 09:56

Oh gosh Lizzie I can't believe you have to wait for tomorrow!!! Can you not go to an A & E? Seems awful.

Phoenix · 16/12/2008 09:58

Oh lizzie . Hope you're ok.

Tell me now that you're eating peanuts after dh ate my flapjack . It is a pregnancy thing Lucas to do with nut allergys i think.

Will anyone be eating prawn cocktail starter on christmas day. I know we're meant to be careful with prawns (well not have them at all really) but the i love prawn cocktail and people will notice if i avoid prawns and not drinking like a fish. I don't know wether to just eat them
