Dinner is ready so at least I get my spag bol!!!

I am not thinking about the contractions yet as they are very irregular and some are painful and some aren't.

GruffaloSoldier · 08/12/2008 19:29

Hooray for getting your spag bol Kay!

kayzisexpecting · 08/12/2008 19:59

That seem to have stopped.

I am going to go and have a bath and see if anything happens. Hopefully DH or I will be on in the morning to tell you that he is here.

lardybump · 08/12/2008 20:01

Evening everyone. Sorry I havent been on over the weekend but been really busy. Had another bleed on Sat went in to hospital and they did tests but dont know where it is coming from. There are traces of blood in my urine but the cervix is totaly closed so at least it isn't coming from there...

Kay fingers crossed he is on his way....

I am going to be 35 on Wednesday I am soooooooo old..

kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 07:24

Morning,

LB, Sorry you had another bleed. I'm glad it's not from your cervix though. Hopefully they'll find out what it is.

Guess what

there is no baby here!!!!!!!!!!! Everything stopped so I went for a bath to see if it would help. My back is really bad this morning and baby feels very low down so maybe it could happen tonight instead.

Hope you are all feeling well this morning.

Diege, I hope you are well enough to go to your scan. Fingers Crossed.

storkycake · 09/12/2008 08:04

Hi LB glad to hear all is okay. Could it be a polyp? I'm 35 next year....it is NOT old

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 09/12/2008 08:29

Morning

Kay any news? (Sorry know you're sick of hearing that, but there aren't too many different ways of asking is there?! )

LB, so sorry you've had a worrying time of it, this bloody baby making business isn't all it's cracked up to be is it? In fact I think I can hand on heart say that pregnancy is akin to torture.... and then there is the birth..... MN had better cut my membership if I ever even mention joining a TTC thread ever ever ever again!

Haven't really caught up properly, just read the last few posts, but wanted to let you all know I am home, by the skin of my teeth. Had to see the registrar before they'd let me leave, also to ask about the CS, she said basically to go back and see her in a week, if I still want the CS based on energy levels or if I've got another bloody illness of any kind, then she would consider a CS, if not, then she will book an induction She said she was going to get me a scan, to check his growth is still ok through all of the virals and infections etc. but when the MW tried to book it, the ultrasound dept. wouldn't let her because it's not been 14 days since the last scan (even though the last scan wasn't even a growth scan, it was only to check the cord and the water levels, and there wasn't 14 days in between the two scans I had in the last month ) Then the reg. was on her way out after declaring me free to go, and I suddenly remembered he'd turned tranverse and asked her if it was a problem, no she said and walked off, only to turn round and ask to feel him, so she had a good feel round and he had actually gone proper breach Though in some ways it was good he'd moved from transverse because she said I wouldn't have been coming home until he'd moved!

So now we are all in a bit of limbo, waiting to see how my energy/health levels go, see whether he turns back round, see if the consultant agrees with what the registrar said yesterday (cons. appt. 10.40am today)

Probably won't be on very much, mum is here, DH is still home, have got everyone telling me to get into bed, sit down, don't move, etc. etc. t'is quite nice Will keep an eye out when I can though! Lot's of love xxx

kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 08:36

Nope not a bloody thing here. I am really peed off as I thought it was actually happening last night. They were proper painful, couldn't talk through them contractions.

Glad you are at home Nat, some people say you tend to feel better at home. Make sure you listen to your mum and DH and put your feet up and relax!!!

Oh yeah I didn't tell you yesterday as I was to annoyed with consultant. He said that I will be induced on the 22nd Dec if I get that far. I reckon he has bloody jinxed me!!!

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 09/12/2008 08:36

glad u r home nat and being looked after u deserve it after all you have been through.
hopefully u will get cs or induction soon
i am sure that this one is breech 2

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 09/12/2008 08:54

Morning

Glad to hear you are back home Nat. Get lots of rest (though it sounds like you dont have much choice .

Morning Kay, Tink... sorry its not moved on Kay... maybe its enroute though. Fingers crossed....

Starshinetiger · 09/12/2008 09:40

Hi All, Again, long time not on here - I hope you don't all think I'm flaky. Just been manic at work, getting home, seeing DS and then putting him to bed and then working for another couple of hours (in front of I'm a Celeb of course) until about 10.30/11pm, so not much time for anything but work - they laid off one of our team (not through genuine redundancy but becuase her style didn't gel with management ) and now we're all picking up the flack!

So, have had a quick scan and catch-up...
Kayz - sorry baby hasn't come yet. Am sure he will be here at the right time for him - are you drinking plenty of raspberry leaf tea? Where's your curry and pineapple luvvy - doesn't sound like you're trying very hard ...
[Star ducks for cover]

Nat - sorry you're having such a tough time. I hope it all goes smoothly and am sure it will, but can imagine the waiting is very anxious. We are debating home birth too, as I was only in hospital 3 hours before DS born and so anticipating this one could be quicker and we have no family within 1.5 hours of us. DH was unsure until one of his gym members told him they had a home birth and were eating takeaway curry an hour after the baby was born - now he's sold!

Diege - good luck for scan today.
Glask - congrats on girl

Can't remember much else, but did want to give a recommendation for people wanting something warm and snuggly for winter babies. We have one of these and it's really great for going from cold outside to warm houses/shops - while they're a bit pricey, I thoroughly recommend it: www.morrck.co.uk/ As they have holes for straps in blankets and a hood, you can wrap baby up nice and snug, but when you get into a shop/home, you can just unwrap blanket without disturbing baby and can easily get them out of car seat or buggy without too much fuss.

Anyway, that's my recommendation for the day. Started thinking about a buggy now I'm 25 weeks. Thinking of getting P&T to cater for DS who will be 2.5 when baby arrives and baby - not sure he will be totally ready for walking everywhere or going on buggy board at that age - for those of you with experience does that sound right? If you have had this and the older one has been at nursery have you then still used P&T for just baby? Trying to guage is P&T is the right buggy to get...

As usual, back on waffling after long absence - will make concerted effort to be on more regularly!
Star xx

GruffaloSoldier · 09/12/2008 09:40

Morning everyone!

Glad to hear you are back home NJ - get plenty of rest

Kay - sorry nothing happening yet - hopefully it will be time soon.

Sorry Tink - I dont know much about lamps and wattage.

I have just got up and had my morning porridge. Thought I had tonsilitis yesterday had a sore throat all day and white stuff (sorry) all over tonsils. Feels better today though

Waiting for my carrycot to be delivered today and some christmas presents from amazon - woo!

GruffaloSoldier · 09/12/2008 09:43

x posts star! Nice to see you back - sorry to hear that you have been so busy!

kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 09:59

Hello Star,

I am so sick of having curries I have stopped. Also pineapple is useless, you need to eat 7 whole pineapples in 1 day for it to have any affect.

Buy a P&T!!!!!!!!! They are brilliant!! I wouldn't be without mine now.

Starshinetiger · 09/12/2008 10:02

I was only joking Kayz!
Did not know that about pineapple - that's ridiculous.
Thanks for confirmation of P&T - may reserve the right to see how you feel about it with little one too if you don't mind being my tester!

kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 10:05

I'll be your tester thats fine!!

I know the pineape thing is mad. I love pineapple but couldn't eat 7. I don't think anything will really work. Its all a fix I reckon.

kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 10:09

pineape?????? I really should preview first.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 09/12/2008 10:31

Morning Star
Great to see you back
Just looked at those Morrok things and they look great.

Do you have the winter snuggly one or the all season one?

With baby due in March not sure how warm I will need one.

Morning gruff

kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 10:39

I want one too!! They look so warm!

GYo, it really depends on the year I suppose with March. DS was born on the 20th and it snowed the day before and the day he was born. It was bloody freezing but then this year it wasn't too bad.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 09/12/2008 10:51

thanks Kay... 20th March? bet one of us has a DC on that day... there are loads due aroudn then mine is 17th...

maybe good to get the all season on. Better chose pram colours first though!

GruffaloSoldier · 09/12/2008 10:54

Hi Gyo

My carrycot has arrived and it is so fab! I love it! hooray!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 09/12/2008 11:19

ooh Gruff yay for the delivery.

Is this carrycot for the pram?

I cant wait to buy stuff after xmas

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 09/12/2008 11:24

Hello! Well back from scan and all looks fine . Was very anxous beforehand and explained about mmc so sonographer let me see baby asap. Quite a short scan, but saw all the important bits. Baby moving about fine but very cramped in there so no dance show - apparently my appalling constipation and 'very gassy bowel' hasn't left it much room We were very '4th baby' about the photo, and didn't ask for one as he/she wouldn't 'pose' in the sonographer's words, despite her attempting to gig it about - instead it just turned over and went to sleep
So, feeling mightily relieved. Measuring 12 weeks 2 days, so my due date is one day closer at 21st June - all academic as I've never got beyond 39 plus 6 anyway!
Glad to hear you're back home NAT - that must be a relief, though sorry you're in limbo a bit about the next few weeks.
GRUFF, great news about your dad
KAY, not long till the 10th now
Sorry TINKS, another useless electrician here!
Hi STAR! Good to hear from you.
Hi to everyone else - rubbish about bugs and flu SES and GLASK. I am feeling a little better today, which is a massive relief as yesterday had a horrible thought that my hyperemesis had turned a corner in a bad way and was deciding to step up a gear...
Right, best get something to eat after yesterday's fast. Have dd3's play this afternoon - she's picked up, but gave her a good dose of calpol all the same .
