kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 12:56

YAY DIEGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats great news.

Guess what this idiot has done!!!!

I went to make myself some lunch and I turned the wrong hob ring on. I have completely melted the plastic trays we have. The house stinks of melted plastic and I generally feel like I could have caused a huge accident.

Feel free to point and laugh.

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 09/12/2008 12:56

great news diege

i have been shopping on net again runs and hides

have bought a lovely butterfly canvas for dds room which will go perfect with vertbaudet lamp when i get it. a framed butterfly picture to go in her room.
crayola alarm clock is green which will match her walls.
think i have baby bug as dd will be sharing with baby decorated her room again.

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 09/12/2008 12:57

oh no kay as long as you and bubs r ok

Starshinetiger · 09/12/2008 13:20

Yay for good scan Diege.
Sorry for melted trays Kayz, but as Tink says - as long as you and bubs are okay, the smell of melting plastic will soon go.
Is so easily done - I was so tired last night (due to DS having been up much of previous night with cough and me awake worrying about work) that I couldn't remember anything and I cleaned my teeth, then meant to take my eye-make up off, but instead got my toothbrush and toothpaste out and would have cleaned my teeth again if DH hadn't said anything - he was highly amused!

kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 13:27

We're fine, apart from the smell. It really stinks.

lastboxoftampons · 09/12/2008 13:34

Oh, diege Congratulations!!!! That's such wonderful news! So pleased for you!

Kay WHEN is this baby coming!?!?! I'm getting tired of waiting! Sorry about your melted trays - but can you really be expected to make lunch in your state? Best to order in, I say!

Hi Gruff and Glas

tink Think you're bolstering the economy single handedly! Credit crunch!?!? What credit crunch!?!?!

Yesterday I got my 12 week scan stuff in the mail, but can hardly look at it. Have all the same stuff from last time in a folder in my wardrobe Seems like ages away and I feel like I just need to take baby steps at the moment. Going to try to have an early scan at the EPU next week (they told me they would give me a reassurance scan due to mmc last time), but not sure how I'm even going to make it through the wait. Will be agony sitting there waiting wondering is it okay? Am still feeling sick though not constantly, so kind of think it's the best of both worlds - a bit of a reassurance gag every few hours, but no puking yet! Last night when I got off the train there were children and their parents caroling and collecting money for the hospital. I went past, but then went back and gave them all the change I could find in my purse - bit of good will, but of karma Feeling very superstitious in spite of myself. Also very sensitive, nearly burst into tears when I gave them the money

Starshinetiger · 09/12/2008 13:43

LBOT, must be really tough for you - you may as well get used to the bursting into tears thing though - plenty more to cope we hope!

Re. the Morrck baby hoodies - I had the Winter one because I didn't get it until DS was 3 months old and it was December then. Also got the one for up to 2 years as there didn't seem to be much point in getting the new baby one with him nearly 4 months old by then.

Am having the same debate on which one to get this time, due to March due date, but haven't properly researched yet!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 09/12/2008 13:49

Hooray for scan Diege, that is fantastic news You must be feeling so relieved and excited

Kayz, DH melted our steamer and a deep fat fryer on our hob on seperate occasions by turning the wrong bloody knob, it is very easily done.

Hi everyone else I am in a bit of a rush, we've decided to do DS2 a little bday tea for when DS1 get's home from school, so am hurrying everyone around, t'is a hard life this sitting down and relaxing lark

Just got back from the cons. baby is still breech, and since he's been there for 24 hours now they say he is less likely to turn than if he'd have just carried on turning yesterday, so I have scan booked for Tuesday, to check if he's still breech, check his growth and the waters, and then the Thursday after, if he's still breech, they will try and turn him if he does turn either before or at the ECV(???) thingy, then they will book the induction, if he won't turn, then it will be a CS at 39 weeks. And if I go into labour naturally at home before they've tried to turn him, I have to ring 999 at first signs of anything happening, and hope the fact that he's breech would slow the labour down enough to get to hospital and get ready for the EMCS. Think that's it, hate to run, but I have a party to organise from my arm chair

It is really good news Diege

Playingthe9monthwait · 09/12/2008 14:56

Hi all,

Deige {grin] so happy at your news, that must be a huge weight off your mind!

Nat - what can I say - will the saga ever end . Well at least u have a clear game plan now so thats better than nothing.

LB - sorry to hear about the bleeding.

Kay - sounds like things are starting to happen, hopefully you will have your baby soon!

LBOT - have you thought about paying for an early private scan? We did and it only cost £50. Was worth it just to put my mind at rest.

Tink - I agree with LBOT, you shopping efforts are to be applauded at this time of recession

Hi everyone else

Well, I have just come back from the Osteo. Was there for an 1 hr 1/2 and she was very thorough. Thinks that although there are definately problems with my pelvis which are most likely mild SPD that my big problem is my spine. So seems pretty hopeful that by working on my back plus my pelvis she can get me in much better shape. So I am happy and I go back in a week.

lastboxoftampons · 09/12/2008 15:55

Playing I am going to have a scan next week - I'll be 8+ depending on when I go. The EPU at our hospital said that they would give me a reassurance scan when I wanted, and I figured 8 weeks would be best as last time we saw a heart beat at 6+3 and mmc was discovered at 11 weeks with a fetus that measured 7. It's not so much the waiting for the scan day to arrive that I'm anxious about (although yes, still very anxious about how to get through the next week!) it's more about actually sitting in the waiting room until it's my turn. It was total hell when I went in at 11 weeks after spotting and I know it will be just as bad, if not worse this time around!

Playingthe9monthwait · 09/12/2008 16:35

Hi LBOT, yes waiting must be the hardest bit. I had my scan at 8 weeks and until I saw fraggle in there, I found it impossible to believe it was real.

storkycake · 09/12/2008 17:26

Hooray for your scan Diege Fantabulous news!!

So did the Osteo treat you then Playing, are you feeling better?

Glad you have a plan Nat...at last....even if the little stinker is upside-down.

Hiya to everyone else

I really need to ask why my baby is hammering my bladder soooo much.
I think she is still head down, maybe with arms above her head. She is constantly poking and punching me in my bladder and behind my pubic bone, making me need a wee, but obv my bladder is empty.

It's a weirdly sickly sensation and I don't like it!!

Has anyone else got this or am I just lucky? I honestly don't remember any of the others doing this...it's torment I tell ya.

In fact I'm getting very little movements above my belly button

Playingthe9monthwait · 09/12/2008 17:44

Hi Storky. Yes she did treat me and I certainly feel different. My movement is less restricted but I still hurt. She said she expected it to take a few days for me to feel any major pain relief and a few sessions to really do some good. I seem to have a whole host of problems all adding to each other, from flat feet, my natural curvature (sp?) in my spine I was born with to pg related back twisting/compaction and pelvic issues, all combining to cause the pain.

She thinks the back is the key and judging by how much it crunched today and how much resitance even I could feel there was, I think she might be right. Once she has done some more work on my back then she will be able to properly see what is going on with my pelvis and she can work on that. At the moment she thinks that the back is probably causing most of my pelvic pain rather then SPD, although she thinks I probably have mild SPD as well. She can't tell how much is my back and how much is my pelvis yet as there is obviously an issue with both!

Its far too complicated but the good news with this is if it is mainly my back then it should be fixable and may not get any worse now.

How are you feeling now?

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 09/12/2008 18:03

lbot - can understnad why you are worried it will be good to get an early scan though

nat - poor you it is never ending. dont like the sound of evc atall think i would leave it if baby upside down.
good luck with party

storky - i am getting what feels like feet down there. baby is really low i dont get any feelings at the top either

playing - hopefully u will be in less pain now

kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 18:04

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The kitchen has just flooded. The pipe was blocked and the washing machine was on. So all the water went back up the pipe and out of the sink.

We're going to have a takeaway tonight. Neither of us feel up to cooking at all now.

Hope everyone is ok and having better days than I am.

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 09/12/2008 18:13

poor you it isnt your day today is it sending over lucky vibes
enjoy takeaway

storkycake · 09/12/2008 20:00

I'm doing fine except I'm sick of being pg. Can't wait for it to end tbh.

Playing it sounds very complicated, but hopeful

I wouldn't have ecv either Tink.

Kay what a nightmare you're havin' today.
Sounds like the recipe for labour
Ooh and look it's close to the 10th too!

Cosmogirl · 09/12/2008 20:08

Congrats on a good scan Diege - fab news

Nat - glad you are back home and being waited on hand and foot. Not sure how I would feel about the turning the baby thing. Because my mum had two breech babies (me being one of them) and my sister was a funny angle, I have it in my head that my baby will be breech. Because it was 20 odd years ago she gave birth naturally, but with the help of forceps, but nowadays midwives aren't as skilled at it, are they? So it tends to be a CS. Ah well I suppose ultimately the little mite will decide how it makes its entrance into the world.

Did anyone see that prog on BBC4 Growing Babies: War in the Womb? It was on last Thurs and second part is this Thurs. Wasn't too bad - all about how it is a battle between mother and baby etc... I think quite a few of us can relate to that sentiment

Right, sorry, I am in a waffly mood tonight, so will stop rambling now.

kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 20:16

I don't know if I want him tonight after all.

Doesn't bad luck run in 3's?

  1. Melting trays
  2. Flooded kitchen
  3. Could be problem with labour

Just had a curry though.

lardybump · 09/12/2008 20:20

evening all hope your birthday tea went well NAT.

Kay I am hoping you go into labour tonight and have him tomorrow because its my birthday and I would love to share it with him........

Sorky I am also getting kicked and punched in the bladder and the fanny (I feel like a school girl when I say that) baby is moving all the time and sometimes he/she also kicks me in the ribs which is also not nice.... But as long as I can still feel him/her in some way then I am not going to complain....

So pleased about your scan diege I really am so happy for you. Cant believe we wont see the mini diege yet though and that you are going to make us wait another 8 weeks......

Hi to everyone else I probably wont be on tomorrow as I am being treated to a day out for my birthday.

kayzisexpecting · 09/12/2008 20:36

I'd love him to share your birthday too. It will really annoy MIL!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.
