Ooo Nat - hope everything is OK! First wagon baby may be en route early?

Can I join in on the meet up? I am an hour and a bit on the train from London (Kings X), so Southern meet up is definitely doable for me.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 17:38

I change tops every day, jeans it depends which ones, if they are one of my comfy ones then they get up and walk themselves to the washer by the time I give in and wash them , if they are one of my not so comfy ones a day, two at most, they annoy me. I have some lazy stretchy 'yoga' pants things that I wash after one day, they are a tiny bit too long (story of my life) and even just around the house the bottoms get mucky.

kayzisexpecting · 03/12/2008 17:39

Yummy just ordered my pizza!!! I can't wait.

Been told on the HB thread that I need a bottle of champange in the fridge.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 17:41

Don't think so Cosmo, which is good because between stubbly legs, poorly child, hungry belly, and the fact that it is too early yet, I am not ready for him to come yet! (This time next week would be good though baby if you're listening! )

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 17:42

LOL Kay, I'd ditch the champers for something far more palatable... ooooh a southern comfort and coke, with ice, and a sneaky ciggarette

kayzisexpecting · 03/12/2008 17:43

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Why Southern comfort and coke????

Its a million trillion times nicer with lemonade!!!!!!!!!!

GruffaloSoldier · 03/12/2008 17:44

of course cosmo the more the merrier!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 17:46

Noooooooooooooooo coke all the way, DH used to turn his nose up at it till he tried it, now he always has coke, even with his whiskey that stuff stinks!

GruffaloSoldier · 03/12/2008 17:47

where are you from cosmo?

kayzisexpecting · 03/12/2008 17:49

Yeah DH has coke with his Jack Daniels urgh!!

Lemonade is better.

Cosmogirl · 03/12/2008 17:51

Cool. Live in town in Lincs, not far from Nottingham at the mo. Am an Essex girl by birth though (no jokes...) so feel I am more of a Southern chick at heart, plus my family are Cambridge, London, Brighton so would like to edge further that way eventually. (Sorry - life story there!)

Nat - you are right - it is too early - cross those hairy legs!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 17:53

Am now having day dreams about all sorts of stuff I had forgotten I'd not had for the last 9 months... LOL

Gonna get DH to do me a post-birth hamper, with all the really bad stuff in it!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 17:54

LMAO Cosmo

sorkycake · 03/12/2008 17:57

righto kay have found my list

I had a plastic box to keep the following in:
Plastic sheeting/shower curtains
hand mirror & anglepoise lamp & sieve (but this was for the pool)
plastic bucket
old towels (one on radiator in every room)
paracetamol (for early pain relief)
camera
clothes for the baby
Bach flower remedy (invaluable to keep me calm once labour started)
Arnica tablets (for the bruising)
Bottle of water and a couple of straws
Some snacks
Face cloth/hand towel
TENS machine
bin liner
old knickers and pads
Did have champagne in the fridge and set out a tray of tea/coffee/biscuits on the bench for the midwives.

Tiramisu!! I want tiramisu. DH is under strict orders to make me one. Cider I want cider!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 03/12/2008 17:58

Nat- i think I'm getting DH to do that for me too!! a nice box full of all the stuff i love but can't have..... biggest thing i'm wanting right now being a proper fried egg, with runny yolk- i'm sick of having cooked yolk!!

DH is on his way home now.... i put he tree up just before, DC's are just stood watching it, jumping about waiting for daddy to get home so we can decorate it!! i'm pretty exited, but gutted its not a real one

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 03/12/2008 18:00

sorky- that puts my HB kit to shame!!!! all i had with DD was a plastic sheet, about 5 towels, relaxing CD.... thats about it!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 03/12/2008 18:00

oh and we had the baby clothes ready too!!

GruffaloSoldier · 03/12/2008 18:02

thats cool cosmo - i used to live in cambridge. wen to school there and 6th form. my sister is in Lincs (Louth)

mmmmm tirimisu!

kayzisexpecting · 03/12/2008 18:02

Thanks Sorky.

We need to get our tree. We are getting a fake one, which I am really sad about because I love real ones. But with DS and a newborn we thought it would be easier.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 18:02

Right, DH is home, am going to go and get a quick bath I think, sort my stuble out Will have to put a list together for the hamper, though get the feeling there won't be much in there that I haven't had, all I can think of is southern comfort and a ciggarette! LOL

G'night all

sorkycake · 03/12/2008 18:02

yeah but my Dh flaps and is useless at finding stuff, so I anticipated all the things I might need and put them all in the same place.

Nothing worse than entering a speedy second stage and having some numbskull ask where the towels are

GruffaloSoldier · 03/12/2008 18:03

Cosmogirl · 03/12/2008 18:05
