NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 16:49

LMAO Kay, not close enough to Manchester airport to get them directed to me by that description, they'd be hunting for days!

BBA, birth before arrival (of the MW) learnt that a couple of days ago

kayzisexpecting · 03/12/2008 16:51

I said the very same thing to DH at 3am the other night when I thought it was happening.
"I haven't shaved my legs"

You could get the DS's to wave torches around, they might notice them and then find you.

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 03/12/2008 16:52

would definetly ring too just encase

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 16:54

LOL I wondered where you were going with the torches for a while there Kay!

Am not worried, DS1 is here if anything happened too quickly. Will do their dinner and see what's gone on.

kayzisexpecting · 03/12/2008 17:00

You make sure you ring the MW or hospital if anything happens.

I'm having a takeaway pizza tonight but I don't know what to have.

largeginandtonic · 03/12/2008 17:04

The only bloody show i had was when i was in labour Nat. Have had planty of shows before hand in the weeks leading up to birth.

You need to phone the delivery suite and tell them, they will tell you to go in and be monitored (you know they will) if the contractions look like labour they may give you steroids for the baby's lungs, you need 2 doses in 24hrs for them to be effective. Phone please, don't worry it is probably nothing.

I want an egg custard

Kay go for a HB, you will be fine and it is so nice to labour in your own home.

Gruff huge congratulations on the girl!

sorkycake · 03/12/2008 17:05

kayzisexpecting · 03/12/2008 17:08

Lulu is on my stuff for HB thread so its easy to find her!!!!

GruffaloSoldier · 03/12/2008 17:13

Thanks Gin!

largeginandtonic · 03/12/2008 17:13

Oh i am far more scary than Lulu

Nat knows me of old

Have you phoned yet? How much was it and did you save it for the midwife? (they like to see these things)

My consultant was fine this morning, he listed the possible terrible things that could happen. I told him it would be unsafe to try and get to hospital 40 minutes away on my own with a taxi driver.

It was safer for me to plan a HB with a midwife present and if things went wrong she would be with me. He conceded that everything would probably be fine as i left. I quite like him, he is to the point and makes up statistics to scare some people but not me I smiled alot and he said see you at 41 weeks

The girl is not measuring huge anymore either. I mean she will be big (the last one was 9lb 10oz) but not too big for me hopefully.

So i can be left alone again, midwife app only and HB ahoy

largeginandtonic · 03/12/2008 17:21

Nat??? Have you phoned >

sorkycake · 03/12/2008 17:21

Ooh yes I forgot to ask how big it was, good question.

OP posts:
sorkycake · 03/12/2008 17:22

have you popped a pad in for the ?waters ?

OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 03/12/2008 17:23

This one is meant to be bigger than DS. Slightly scary.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 17:25

T'is OK I think, no more waters, little twingy contraction that actually I think was BH (different place of tightness to the others) am calm and collected. I really can't go to hospital unless I absolutely needed to, DS1 must get to the docs tonight, he still hasn't eaten, and has been asleep most of the afternoon, even when he is asleep he looks so poorly.

Hooray for go ahead on the HB LG&T, not that it sound's like he had much choice in the matter It's good news

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 17:26

I have a pad on, but it's dry (am checking it every bloody 5 seconds! LOL)

sorkycake · 03/12/2008 17:26

Ooh there's a lot of us having hb's isn't there?

Kay big ones are easier to get out ime.

Nat you don't have to go in, just ring them.

OP posts:
sorkycake · 03/12/2008 17:27

how big was the show?

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 17:27

They'll tell me to go in if I ring them. For now I am happy, anything else happens I will ring. Just seems to be a bit of a gear up.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 17:28

Partial, not full.

kayzisexpecting · 03/12/2008 17:29

Nat ring them!!!

You know full well you'd would tell us to ring them if it was the other way round.

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 03/12/2008 17:29

gr8 news lg&t about con

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 03/12/2008 17:31

I will ring if anything else happens, honestly. I think it is just getting the ball rolling, am bound to have a slight dilation, it's not my first baby. Maybe he gave a big bloody boot in the wrong place while I was asleep.

tinkisahugexmaspudding · 03/12/2008 17:32
