GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 02/12/2008 18:57

Hey Gruff- congratulations! how exciting

how was the scan itself?

Diege · 02/12/2008 18:58

Yay GRUFF that's great news!!! You and dh must be chuffed .

kayzisexpecting · 02/12/2008 19:02

Its so exciting hearing news of peoples scans or of them having their babys.

I wish I had either no pain in my bump or back or just had contractions. Not just random pains that mean bugger all.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 02/12/2008 19:05

Hi Kay... it really must be tough hanging in there.. how many babies have appeared on the due Dec thread?

Realised how excited I am about having a baby... having bump measured today suddenly made it so real

kayzisexpecting · 02/12/2008 19:11

About 8 GYo, most of them before December. A few people have been about a week early.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 02/12/2008 19:15

Wow 8 is a lot.

Dont think we have any planned C-sections on the wagon do we?

So exciting now Wagon Babies are coming soon!

kayzisexpecting · 02/12/2008 19:20

No I don't think we do.

We've had a quite a few. I think at least 5 of the babies have been planned CS. Another one tomorrow.

It must be quite wierd actually to know when your baby will be born. Though one of them was having a CS last Tuesday and her waters broke on the Monday evening so she ended up having her CS on the Monday instead.

GruffaloSoldier · 02/12/2008 19:59

sorry for short post earlier! my blackberry was being a complete nightmare! grr!

im just in from work and eating dinner now.

had to wait half hour with full bladder as sonographer was running late!

i was in agony by the time i got in - absolutely bursting.

scan was very uncomfortable but was amazing!!

Guy took ages though! he was new apparently but he was very thorough and talked us through everything.

me and dh are over the moon with a girl.

will be Lily Ava Sophie if i get my way with Ava as a middle name

Glask - how cool that both will be girls so close together - I did wonder with us both craving coke!!

right must catch up!

kayzisexpecting · 02/12/2008 20:02

That is a lovely name Gruff.

They always keep you waiting, always. I think they like watching you squirm.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 02/12/2008 20:03

No worries Gruff - just glad all is ok
I love Lily Ava Sophie - make sure you get your way on the Ava

kayzisexpecting · 02/12/2008 20:08

Yeah especially the Ava, Gruff. It is such a beautiful name.

GruffaloSoldier · 02/12/2008 20:18

Yeah I wanted Ava but DH said no as his niece is Ada

Lily was my Grans name so all my family love it which is a nice bonus.

im just looking at some girls stuff online

sorkycake · 02/12/2008 20:25

Aw! Gruff that's great news

Do we have more boys than girls or equal number predicted?

Kay why on earth are people asking whether you've had the baby yet? You're not even due for another 10 days! Simpletons, grrr!

I think I'll look up my old threads Nat how long I lasted before I moaned about still being pregnant, I bet it was before 35 weeks though.

Tink I have caught your shop fever I think. If it's baby girl related and online I'm on it! Thanks for sympathy, I had to crawl to the toilet this afternoon, Dh had to come home.
Imagine he does come home in the afternoon after all our chat I can't get any because I'm laid up! Not fair girls...not fair at all.

Gyo it does suddenly become more real when they start measuring the ump doesn't it?

Evening all. Congrats gruff girls are lovely.....

I have midwife on Thursday for final blood tests. Bit nervous as I was borderline on the blood sugars last time...

Sorky I dont know what flavour I am having, DP wanted to find out but I didn't!!!

MIL is over tomorrow so probably wont get on during the day again, but I will catch up with you all in the evening.

Kay how are you feeling today????

I know this sounds strange but I really miss working, the days are so repetitive at the moment and my pregnancy seems to have stopped still. Not that I am wishing it away or anything, just feel very big and am getting fed up with strangers asking if I am having twins or whistling when I say I have 12 weeks left to go.....

Right speaking of being big where did I hind the mince pies???

lardybump · 02/12/2008 20:53

I have missed you all again. I am off now but hope to catch up with you all tomorrow. Night night for now...

kayzisexpecting · 02/12/2008 20:53

Crap LB TBH. I can hardly walk, I think BabyKayz must be about 6ft long as he seems to be right in my ribs and he feels like he is so low down he is about to fall out.

MW and Physio decided I got my brace too late for it to have any real use to me.

Sorky, I don't know why they ask. They even ask when they see me up town where you can quite obviously see I haven't.

sorkycake · 02/12/2008 22:15

It is crap isn't it?

I've spent the evening re-reading my old AN thread with Moosma, MrsJC and Cadders on it
It brought back such lovely memories I look as if I started to get impatient at 7 days before I was due and seemed to have 3 false starts over the final week. Presumably it was doing a lot though, as my labour when it started was thick and fast.

I hope it's soon for you Kay especially as it's becoming so painful for you.

OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 02/12/2008 22:22

I wish I had joined the AN thread for DS but I didn't really use MN then. Actually I think it would make me worse as pregnancy with DS was brilliant and I was fine through the whole 9 months.

I am really sick of the little twinges that feel like contractions but I only get 1 and then they stop. Maybe it is labour!! A 3 contractions a day labour.
