Morning all! Who coming to help me make pies today?

This is another good pregnancy for me. Except for my sciatic nerve killing my right butt cheek, I'm pretty good. I just can't wait for this all to be over.

Titchy you don't look old enough to have a 9 year old!

Have been pretty lucky through this pregnancy so far -- no MS, no joint pain and no roids or similar. Was v. tired in first 12 weeks but then who isn't? Getting bigger by the day but actually enjoying the attention. Still, maybe these are famous last words...

meep · 27/11/2008 15:12

who has skin tags?????!!!!!! Most of mine disappeared after dd but they are now back with a vengeance - horrid - dh hates touching my neck because it is all bumpy (they just look like freckles but they are bumpy to touch - yuck yuck yuck!)

And my tummy is now officialy furry again!

Yes - the tiredness is back - may just be due to having a cold, but feel so drained all the time.

AND I bought a lovely pair of Boots online in my usual size and I can't get my huge swollen feet into them - sob

Enough of my rant!

Mandy - so pleased eveything is still going well - you deserve some good news and be allowed to enjoy the last few months with your bump.

emma2617 · 27/11/2008 15:24

meep.....I am so glad Im not the only on!! I have always had 2 skin tags on my neck and 1 in my armpit...perfectly positioned to rub on my bra!! But since becoming pregnant they have grown (the one under my arm is th esize of a pea and I have developed 2 more on my neck, and 1 on my nipple!!!!!!!!!!!! (well areola, but you get the picture!)

And I have a furry tummy too...thought I was just turning into a monkey!

meep · 27/11/2008 15:39

we'll be the ones sweating in polo necks this winter then emma

I quite like my furry tummy though - it's blonde fur so not too offensive!

grinningbee · 27/11/2008 16:38

I have the furry tummy too! Unfortunately although I'm fair haired it is dark . I also have been getting skin tags on my neck (although I keep picking them!) and under my boobs.

Is anyone else getting all emotional again? I don't know what's up with me today...

Amy is kicking the stuffing out of me, and this morning my jumper was rippling she was that active! Yikes...

emma2617 · 27/11/2008 16:42

if only I cant wear necklace or polo necks as the chain of the necklace of the threads from the polo neck get caught on mine and when i try to detatch myself it feels like im pulling them off! Niiiice!

Fortunately though...a week after getting together with DP I developed guttate Psoriasis and turned into a scaly monster and I couldnt shave my legs for 3 months...so a few skin tags dont really bother him!!! lol

Slickbird · 27/11/2008 17:30

RE: 'Roids - Had them on and off since DD1 8 years ago so have just learnt to put up with them and get the Prep H out when they get sore.

RE: Skin Tags - Interesting, only ever had one but it was while I was PG with DD2 last year and I had it frozen off, it was erm in quite an embarrassing place, right at the top of my inner thigh heading towards, well somewhere you don't want a doctor going with a freezing blowtorch!!

RE: Tiredness and Emotions. I am exhausted all the time again and have just had a greetin (crying) meltdown whilst peeling tatties in the sink. I am just so fed up of the sinus pain, it just won't go and I had to go back to work today and I'm worried now I'm going to make it all even worse again. I had a look on T'internet (Always a bad idea) and it said that it can last for months. That set me off.

Hope you're all fairing better.

meep · 27/11/2008 17:57

oh slickbird - that sounds rubbish. I can almost cry on demand at the moment. Have cried on my boss twice now - mortifying but once I start I can't stop

goldmother2b · 27/11/2008 19:21

hello

Re skin tags, I too have them under my boobs - they are pretty tiny though and I also try and pick them off - initially because I didn't realise what they were, and now because they occasionally annoy me!!!

I have def been feeling more tired and emotional - am half way through week 26 - four days to go till third trimester - so maybe that's what is to be expected for the final furlong.

My PGP is getting me down too - had a really bad day with it today, pain down as far as my shin when I was driving home from work at 13.00 - I attended a group physio session yesterday (more education then physio - they just told us to do pelvic floor and abdominal exercises - which I have already been doing) but I am trying to get some 121 physio and feel that I may end up on crutches (although sitting is just as painful as standing after a while!)

emma2617 · 27/11/2008 19:24

Hey, quick question ladies!

Does anyone know what is happening when it feels like your uterus is vibrating?!the buttom of my uterus feels like it is vibrating for only a second, butt every couple of minutes.

Should I be worrying?

titmouse · 27/11/2008 19:33

Mandy73 I'm in Kidlington, under the Blenheim midwife team. I'm glad you are being treated well - I am generally and hoping my MW was just having an off day, I'll find out in Jan if she is always like that!
I'm thinking about going to the new Spires MLU at the JR, read some good things about it on mumsnet. Have you given birth in Oxford before or is it your first?

MKG · 27/11/2008 19:39

emma-it could just be blood flow. It's a guess, because I feel my own pulse in my uterus all the time.

OP posts:
emma2617 · 27/11/2008 19:45

MKG thanks, I thought it may have been that, but I can feel my pulse when I oil my hand on my belly and it doesn't match with the vibrations!!

I think I'm only panicking due to my friends very late miscarriage due to early spontaneous labour...as long as its not that I'm okay I guess! Its just very bizarre and got me a little worried!!

TessOly · 27/11/2008 20:10

New to this so sorry if I break any etiquette rules - first baby due 21st March, expecting a girl, she is v active and kicking seven shades out of me regularly.
Low lying placenta, hoping this will move up soon.
Thrush - arrgghh!!
Pretty bad tempered - yesterday I went mad about a portion of butter saying on the back 'Allergy advice - contains milk' - went on a complete rant about stupid people in my staff canteen lol.
Bad back pain
Got a heart condition so am being closely monitored with loads of scans and stuff, great antenatal care so far.

Touch wood - other than that, now the ms is not so bad feeling pretty good.

DH and I v v happy I am up the duff.

titchy77 · 27/11/2008 20:20

Boobz-Thank you, ds is now 11!!
Scan went well baby growing well, now weighs 1lb 6oz have another scan in 4 weeks. xx

MKG · 27/11/2008 20:38

TessOly · 27/11/2008 20:44

Thanks MKG

goldmother2b · 27/11/2008 21:09

Welcom Tess

Emma - is there any chance that the vibrations you can feel are kicking - baby may have got himself into an unusual spot?

twocutedarlings · 27/11/2008 22:28

Hi Girls,

Sorry ive not read thread, i just though id tell you all about my shitty week!!

Monday i started with some pain in my back side and along my perineum, i was in agony come tuesday evening and had to go to the out of hours doctors, he said it was my SPD progressing sent me off with some strong pain killers.

Things have got much worse over the last few days and my fanjo and perineum have swollen up like a balloon, ive spend all day at the maternity unit being prodded and poked and it looks like i have either a cyst or an abususs on my perineum . Im being admitted in the morning for an MRI scan and surgery to remove it, hopefully they will be able to do with a spinal or an epidural but if not i will have to have a general, im pertrified! im just so nackered as ive only had about 6 hours sleep since Monday!! because of the pain, and i cant stop crying .

Oh and last week i failed my glucose challenge test so i have to have the full GTT test next week, aarrrggghhh!!!

lizziemun · 28/11/2008 07:34

welcome Tess.

Twocuts i hope eveything goes ok today.

I also spent last night (4hrs) in hospital as i had a small bleed. They think it to do with the 'winter sickness bug' that dd1 bought home from school last week and we all have had.

Lucky baby ok, just gave me(dh,mum, sister and dd1) a bit of a fright.

Boobz · 28/11/2008 09:50

God you're all having a right time of it! I feel bad just reading all of this as the worst I've had is an argument with DH this morning because he seems to think I am his PA (I work from home so always get to do his stuff like picking up dry cleaning, prescriptions, post office etc).

Have searched for skin tags but don't have any. I wonder why they come in pregnancy?

MKG · 28/11/2008 10:32

twocute and lizzie--I'm sorry you're having a hard time of it lately.

OP posts:
laweaselmys · 28/11/2008 10:54

I've only ever had a skin tag once (on my nipple) didn't bother me and was a joke between DP and I until one day it went black and fell off!! Got a bit panicky then, went to nurse and they said it was fine and nothing to worry about - they're caused by too much blood in one area I believe.

laweaselmys · 28/11/2008 10:55

twocute that sounds like a particularly unhelpful class. I hope they manage to arrange something more suitable for you. I can't imagine going through pregnancy on crutches would be very nice at all.

Glad you're okay as well lizzie. Tis very scary when things like that happen and nobody is sure exactly why.
