Sorky, what have you done with your poor DH? Is he roaming the streets trying to find a garage with enough chocolate or does he not have enough pennies in his pockets, so he's gone busking?

Sorry, don't know what I'm rambling about

sorkycake · 17/11/2008 21:52

I've got visions of him locked in B&Q with his arm stuck up a vending machine, a la Homer Simpson, trying to retrieve a partially vended bar of Fruit n Nut!

He'll not get much if he is busking!

Oh hang on he had to deliver something to his parents house down the way,

HE's STOPPED FOR A FECKIN CUPPA HASN'T HE?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/11/2008 22:27

Someone say cuppa?

Mmmm yes please

In fact sod the tea, get the hard stuff out will you, I'll have a hot choc please

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/11/2008 22:41

Oh bloody hell, have you all buggered off?

sorkycake · 17/11/2008 22:48

No I'm here.

He went for a cuppa at his mum's.

It took him 1hour and 40 minutes to get back with a teeny bar of Dairy Milk!!!!!!

He's in the doghouse.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/11/2008 22:50

No need for dog houses (they need cleaning out every now and then) just cross your legs, he'll get the message!

How's it going with that BTW, and the contractions?

sorkycake · 17/11/2008 22:52

I'm in solitary on that one but the spd makes it uncomfortable anyway atm.

He's just brought me a satsuma, partial forgiveness.

How are you feeling Nat? apart from perplexed and worried of course

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/11/2008 23:01

Ah, crappy SPD

Did he peel the satsuma? And put all the peel in the bin?

I'm.... not really sure how I feel, part of me thinks everything is fine, part of me feels like climbing the walls. I think as much as anything I am just really frustrated, I am sick of being passed around from one lot to another lot, no one ever reads the notes or anything so I have to start the whole story again every time.....

I am going to get a mars bar before I get started properly! LOL

sorkycake · 17/11/2008 23:06

It's a tricky one. 33 weeks is not quite at that point where you think better out than in IYSWIM.

But maybe that's the case

Have they given you any predictions? options?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 17/11/2008 23:16

Nope nothing further ahead than the scan tomorrow, although she did say if there was a problem then I would be seen at the hospital for AN appt's rather than seeing the CMW (speaking of which note to myself for tomorrow: I need to cancel tomorrow's CMW appt.)

I am hoping that if they do find a problem then it is something that we can ride out for at least another couple of weeks if we can even get to next Monday, it's another week, and it all counts at this stage.

The stupid thing is, as much as I obviously really do not want there to be something wrong, I find myself almost hoping for aomething so we have a definate cause DYKWIM? If they find nothing tomorrow then every little thing that happens is going to be another 'what if?', whereas if they find something that isn't seriously wrong, but enough to label it all, then it will help us ease, does that make any sense at all?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 18/11/2008 06:40

Last off, first on, now that's dedication for you!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 18/11/2008 07:02

V impressive NJ!

Fingers crossed you get a definite answer today. I'm in an all day meeting but will try and sneakily lurk on my phone. What time is your appointment?

It was fairly busy on here again yesterday and I'm afraid I missed most of it. Feels like I'm either working or sleeping at the moment. Finally got my thyroid results yesterday though and they weren't great which explains why I've been feeling so tired and falling asleep at stupid o'clock. My thyroid stimulating hormone was 3.4 in September and they want it to be below 2.0. My result I got yesterday from 10 days ago was 4.3. They wanted me to go and see consultant next week but I've put them off as we agreed for me to up my dose if it was too high. I said I'd do that and then get another blood test in 3 weeks and see consultant end of Dec as agreed.
Am hoping this is only affecting me and not the baby as the baby is meant to be producing it's own thyroxine by now. Hopefully if baby does need any more, it's taking what it needs which is what's leaving me needing more produced IYSWIM??!!

Anyway, I have skim read yesterday and really just want to say to HBJB how sorry I am to see your news. As NJ says it's not 100% yet but I really feel for you - just awful. Wish I could say something more constructive and helpful.

Morning everyone else. Hope you're doing ok.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 18/11/2008 07:12

Morning Ses I don't know anything about thyroid function, but I do know that with other things (so guess this would be included) that your body gives everything to the baby first and then you get the left overs, and as you say the tiredness only backs that up. Fingers crossed the meds will give you the kick start that's needed.

I don't know what time the scan will be, because it is an emergency scan they ring you when they can see you, which is going to be fun, unless they give us at least a couple of hours notice we won't make it, by the time DH get's home and then we've got to the hospital it is going to be cutting it fine. We'd better be bloody able to get there though, don't think I could handle another night like last night.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 18/11/2008 07:21

I guess you'll just have to get there as soon as you can and they'll need to accept that.
Just hope you get to see someone that can give you some sensible answers and is understanding.

I've been using my Doppler for reassurance. Have been able to find hb each time but normally I can hear my own at the same time over the top which makes me wonder if my placenta is at the front. Also makes it quite difficult to check the rate but it is obviously much faster than mine!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 18/11/2008 07:34

If you can move the doppler around slightly you may find the HB in a different place away from your blood supply. At 15 weeks your baby isn't the tiny strawberry size anymore, you could easily pick up the HB in a few different areas.

OK, time for a shower, see you a bit later

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 18/11/2008 08:01

Morning

Good luck today Nat! hope you get a call with plenty of notice

Hi Ses! bugger about the TSH levels hope you can get it sorted

Office today for me (vs working at home) and its getting harder and harder to get here every time (not to mention darker in the mornings) feel like Im moving at minus speed these days. Might start a count down to maternity leave....

Hi everyone else!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 18/11/2008 08:05

OK- Im sad but its keeping me sane....

Maternity Leave Count down-
GYo- 51 working days (30 commuting days)

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 18/11/2008 08:23

Morning GYo!
LOL at mat leave countdown we could have another list! Mine feels a long way off at the moment as will probably leave around beginning of April.

kayzisexpecting · 18/11/2008 08:26

Morning,

Good luck Nat. Hopefully they will find out what is going on and they'll be able to do something.

Ses, Nat is right, Baby takes everything it needs first and leaves you the left overs. When I had vertigo with DS, I was worried he wouldn't get enough as I couldn't keep anything down but the MW told me that babies are quite selfish and just take everything.

We had a GOF this morning for the first time in ages!!!! But I've been having BH's ever since and DH is worried it is going to turn into real labour.

Hope everyone is ok this morning.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 18/11/2008 08:42

Morning Kay!

GOFing???!!! My DH is getting quite desperate I think. GP told us not to risk it during 1st trimester and even though I know there's no logical reason for that, what with no sex drive and nausea, I feel I've neglected him.
I do think my sex drive is starting to think about returning though so am hoping for that mythical pregnancy libido!

Hope your BHs calm down.

Right, I really should be checking my emails before heading off for this meeting....

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 18/11/2008 08:52

oooh Kays- thats how DD's labour started... went on for 2 slow days of BH's then full on labour in the evening of day 2.... when i'd just got into a hot bath!! sat down, contraction happened, i got out!! few hrs later i had my baby girl!!

my achey lower back is much better today, i do think much of what i felt yesterday was made worse with all the work i'd done round the house on sunday.

I'm very tired tho- have caught my cold back off DH and was having to breath throguh m mouth last night- and i hate that!!

hopw all is well at the scan Nat- or that there is something that will tell you why baby NJ isn't moving too much so it'll set your mind at rest a bit more!! here's hoping you can get there in time, and here's to getting answers!!

i'm planning to get DH working in the kitchen... i have some wall units waiting to be put up (since this time last year i might add) so going to see if my dad can come and help DH do it.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 18/11/2008 08:52

Oh Ses, it's not a myth, pregnancy libido really does exist, I can still remember when I was pregnant with DS1, DH coming in from work, me prowling round doing anything to get him in the mood just once more, the look of sheer terror at having to shag a humongous pregnant woman... again, and probably again after that

Now of course he has the complete oposite problem, and would quite happily shag me, just a shame I would fight him off with a hot poker before he get's within 2ft of anything!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 18/11/2008 08:54

ses- its overnight that your libido will return!! i went from feeling grim and defo not wanting any to pouncing on DH first thing in a morning!!

tinkisallreadytositonthetree · 18/11/2008 08:57
