sorkycake · 17/11/2008 17:14

20 weeks was when mine started too.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/11/2008 17:16

oh dear sorky... i feel like i'm moaning about nothing after reading what you're coping with, aswell as 3 DC's too!!

Just walking to the kitchen before to get the kids tea out DS did ask me why i was walking like his great grandma (who's 86 i may add) so i think it's worse than i think... i will defo get it checked out after hearing what you've said. If there is something that can be done to help me then its better than denying i have a problem just becasue i'm worried about not getting a HB.. as you say you're still getting to have one, so i'm sure i will be able to still.

kayzisexpecting · 17/11/2008 17:22

I feel so sorry for you Sorky, I am always moaning about my back but it is just my back not anywhere else.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 17/11/2008 17:29

Hello

wow- didnt know everyone else was hobbling too!

Im like you glask I walk to bathroom in morning like old lady. Cant get off sofa etc.

Playingthe9monthwait · 17/11/2008 17:34

Heebee - so sorry to hear your news

Sorky - you win . No way near your standard at the moment. I am really lucky that I have a sitting job where I can break whenever I need to move to avoid getting too stiff and its only a mile away from home so just a 5 min drive. My lovely DH is doing most of the housework as well and of course I don't have kids to run around after. So I manage to avoid the worst of it, I know it would be much worse otherwise, I view myself as incredibly lucky compared to how it could be. Every now and again I try to do something "normal" (I attempted to do a bit of pottering round the shops on sat) and really end up paying for it, so whenever possible I avoid doing too much. I assume its only going to get worse whether its ligament pain or SPD, particularly as I haven't really put on too much weight yet.

Can't say its bothering me too much actually, so I don't want to sound like I am moaning. I've spent years living with ME, pain management and the rest/exercise balance is something I am very used to and so is DH, so he is very understanding. In many respects this feels similar but no way near as bad. Anyway I have crutches and a wheelchair in the roof so I am well prepared if things do head for the worse

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/11/2008 17:36

maybe its just that we're pregnant GYo!! haha!!

This morning it really really hurt when i got out of bed, hence this morning just mentioning i thought i might be havign the start of back pains... didn't know it could be more serious.I probably sounded so naive this morning saying i wasn't going to say owt to the GP in case it stopped me having a HB, would rather not end up on crutches, so gonna make sure i get seen sooner rather than later and see if its anything to worry about or get sorted!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/11/2008 17:44

mmmmmmmm i'm sat with a very large bowl of angel delight!! dont know if it was all the calcium in the milk i'm craving or the whip itself... though its only strawberry (just tesco's own brand 3p a pack stuff) but i'm craving actual angel delight butterscotch flavour!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 17/11/2008 17:45

Glask - I havent had angel delight in years!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/11/2008 17:47

me neither... the packs were down from their normal price of about 9p to only 3p when i went to tesco yesterday so i thought they were cheap puddings for the kids and grabbed loads!!! i just made up 3 packs worth in a massive bowl thats now only half full in the fridge- i expect me and DH will finish that after our tea later!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/11/2008 17:49

yuk!!!! DD just sneezed and some came out of her nose!!!!! urgh!!!!! glad i've finished my bowl as i doubt i'd have been able to eat any more after seeing it like that!!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 17/11/2008 18:13

lol yuk re the angel delight and nose incident! Almost as bad as Diege being sick through her nose

I had random craving for choc angel delight earlier on bought it and never had it! Now that DH is coming home with milk, I might make some!

kayzisexpecting · 17/11/2008 18:18

ARGHHHHH!!!!
Just looked at Facebook and it says I have 25 days to go!!!!!!!

I love Angel Delight. I might have to buy some soon. I have some jelly that I am meant to be making into traffic light jelly but I keep forgetting.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/11/2008 18:21

haha- glad i've been of some help in deciding on your desert for tonight!!

It wasn't so nice, but i'm sure its better than being sick out your nose (sympathy's Diege!!) and at least she laughed about it!! i'm glad she didn't sniff it back up, or try to eat it (both of which i'd suspect she'd have tried if she wasn't stood right next to me at the time!!)

I've also still got a major craving for coke, but i decided not to buy any as i drink it so fast i'm high on it for 3 days!! i'm eating cadbury's shots today instead... bought them about 4 weeks ago and hid them from DH as i knew he'd scoff the lot, forgot i even had them until today!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 17/11/2008 18:22

Those with SPD or pain- whats the medical take on the complete inactivity that seems to be the only way to help it?

Am sat here thinking that I must get exercise to help healthyness/ fitness etc but equally i would be crippled after....

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/11/2008 18:23

haha- what is it with me and food- i end up with the whole wagon eating the same food as me!!! I bought 2 bags of satsumas yesterday kayz (they had no organic oranges) and i thought of you blaming me!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 17/11/2008 18:23

ooh what is a cadbury shot?

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 17/11/2008 18:24
kayzisexpecting · 17/11/2008 18:26

LOL Glask!

I've never had those Cadbury shots. I've seen them. I will have to try them.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/11/2008 18:32

i've never had them until today... they are kinda like round smarties, its a ball of chocolate inside a hard sugar case... they are pretty scrummy!!

glaskham offers round her large bag of cadbury shots to fellow wagoners

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/11/2008 18:33

i may not tell DH about the bag of cadbury's chocolate eclairs i also bought about 4 weeks ago and hid from him!!! how nasty and precious am i getting over food??? i'm never like this!!!!

kayzisexpecting · 17/11/2008 18:36

I love those chocolate eclairs. I haven't had them in ages though.

Good thing DH just turned up with our takeaway, I'm starving all this talk of food.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 17/11/2008 18:41

yummy kayz- what are you having for tea? i wonder if i can talk DH into letting me get a take away??

Yesterday i offered the golf clubs and bag that i found under the stairs on freecycle. Tons of people asked for them, i offered them to someone who sounded genuine, and they collected promptly... i was considering selling them on ebay myself but DH said just to freecycle them to get them out fo the way. Anyway today 2 people have asked for them twice (even after i've posted a taken post) and i've just got a third email (with no manners and very impolite) from one of them... am i wrong to have reported him?? I'm a little put out by this persons rudeness... DH said i should just ignore emails off him, but i feel if he's emailing me 3 times, then is he doing it to everyone else??

kayzisexpecting · 17/11/2008 18:42

We're having a chinese. I have curry sauce egg fried rice and chips. Yummy
