Makes me even angrier as I'm a Catholic too!
Having said that, surely any human being can and should understand the importance of respect and acceptance never mind not making assumptions and not judging people in the first place!

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 21:33

All he went on about was how he was catholic and catholic's are meant to speak out against this sort of stuff.

I am such a big kid. I have found some bubble wrap and its sooooo good.

kayzisexpecting · 27/11/2008 04:28

Morning,

I have got really bad back pain and I can't sleep at all. So I decided to get up so DH can get some sleep. I'm hoping this is leading to labour as I can't take another 2 weeks of this pain.

I hope everyone is ok and asleep.

I'm seeing the MW today so might see if she can suggest anything for my back.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 27/11/2008 05:53

Morning!
Kay - sorry for back pain. Hope it is a sign that things are starting to happen.
I've been lyingin bed for an hour awake now with DH snoring next to me. Not really his fault - I'm just not feeling that sleepy.

I may not be on much til next week as I have an all day meeting today, out at a meeting this evening and then tomorrow we're off up to Keswick to visit my brother and SIL. We're home again Sunday evening.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/11/2008 07:36

Morning,

Kay, hope your back ache is something rather than nothing! Good luck at MW.

Have a lovely time with DB and SIL Ses

Sorky, hope you ordered that pram, you'll never hear the end of it off the wagoners if you didn't!! Good going with the car sale!

Playing, the not being able to put knickers/trousers on without sitting down was as bad as it got for me with DS1! Was well before I knew anything about SPD or anything like it, I just put it down to being pregnant, don't think I ever even told the MW about it!

I have my scan this morning, not sure what's going to come of it, on the one hand I don't think I've lost any more water since last Wednesday so I'd assume that gives it a good chance that the water levels are up, but then the movements I've been getting are very VERY sharp as though there is no water there cushioning them, but with his lack of movements from a couple of weeks back I realise that they are going to feel different to me because I have kind of missed a bit of his growth, and so the movements seemed to have stepped up a gear - if anyone knows what I am going on about, you can have a gold medal!

Probably won't be back on till after the scan so have a good morning everyone

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/11/2008 08:13

Morning All

Good luck with the scan Nat hope it shows no change in the waters etc. Let us know how it goes

Hope the backache is something exciting Kay. Sending labour vibes over to you!

Have lovely w/e away Ses! I love the Lakes, am quite envious!

Had antenatal yoga last night all good and quite fun. Weird as im the smallest in the group but I still feel HUGE! Im also really feeling the SPD type issues now... Felt liek I'd been riding a stallion during the night when i got up today (i wish!!).

Playing I also have a belt thing that I wear when Im walking about a lot. Is yours a big velcro thing? Mine is ok but quite uncomfortable when sat down. I think my real issue is my desk chair at work. Feels comfy but think I need something firmer to sit on (dont we all )

Need to talk to my risk assessment HR bod again and order the back supports....

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/11/2008 08:14

ooh yes Sorky, order that pram..... do it, do it, do it!

What colour you getting??

Would love one but it would never fit in my car!

largeginandtonic · 27/11/2008 08:30

Tagging you lot for later.

Have been in a sea of poo and sick bugs....

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/11/2008 08:35

ooh sorry to hear that LargeGin...

hope to see you laters....

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 27/11/2008 08:40

NJ - hope all goes well with scan. I'll be lurking via my phone during my meeting as much as I can to get your update!

GYo - get them to sort that chair for you!

LG&T - that doesn't sound good! Hope the pooey mess improves!

I tried looking for bump bands on H&M website last night but couldn't find them. Didn't seem the easiest of websites. Did anyone buy theirs from them online or do you need a large store?

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/11/2008 08:43

Hi Ses
I got mine in the guildford store which isnt huge and which has a tiny maternity section. they were with the mat lingerie. So hopefully not that hard to find.

I've never been able to work the website either- disappointing as I'd order loads of stuff, love H&M!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/11/2008 08:43

Just grabbing 5 mins before we scoot out the door, sorry about crappy bugs LG&T Hope they're all fighting fit again soon enough, and that you've managed to escape it?

GYo, noooooooooooo we don't want the waters to be the same, they were too low! We want lots of water, lots and lots, not too much though else they'll start on that next....!

Right, school, see you all later xxx

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/11/2008 08:44

Heard Topshop do them too but not sure of price etc. Though my med sized branch in Guild doesnt have any mat wear at all.. Maybe worth looking at their website

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 27/11/2008 08:45

ooh sorry Nat! Didnt realise they could increase once they'd started to drop!

Sending lots of wet watery vibes to you (internal variety!)

Good luck

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 27/11/2008 08:45

Sorry x posts Ses, will catch up later xxx

kayzisexpecting · 27/11/2008 08:49

Hello,

I managed to get about an hour of sleep after DH went to work. He left his phone upstairs so I made him take mine. He reckons he doesn't need it but I told him I'd have no way of contacting him if anything happened.

Backache has gone. It always seems to be worse in the middle of the night. So I don't know if that means anything.

I think I actually feel worse now after getting that hours sleep, I felt quite awake at 4.

Nat, Hope the scan goes well for you. You deserve some good luck.

Ses, Have a good weekend.

LG&T, Sorry about the bugs.

GYo, The computer chair is the only I can get comfy on now. But I have to sit on it backwards leaning over the back. Though I suppose you may get a few funny looks if you did it at work.

kayzisexpecting · 27/11/2008 08:53

Ses, New look do really good bump bands. I still use mine now as I think my bump is too big. The trousers and my top don't meet. Also I love New Looks Maternity range.

Here you go.

Diege · 27/11/2008 09:04

Morning Best of lukcmfor the scan NAT - I don't think the sharper movements are to do with decreased fluid tbh, as baby needs the fluid to make the movements if that makes sense. From what I've read babies with very little fluid don't move much. I think sharp movements are just to do with less room in there to move about in! (we'll see if yet another of the wagon 'theories' is correct ).
GYO, sorry about about bugs; that must be the last thing you want!
KAY, good luck with midwife. Rerally hope backache is a positive sign for you.
SES enjoy your busy day and weekend - hope weather is good for you up there! Keswick's a lovely part of the country that I got quite familiar with when up at uni in Lancaster.
GYO, youy hgave inspired me to find out about antenatal yoga - sounds good fun and better than the dreaded aquanatal!
Not feeling too bad today. Was badly sick last night, but have managed to get breakfast down today. I wish the sickness would just magically disappear completely, but I think it's a case of 'better days', then gradually normal again.
Poor dd1 has got her blepharitus back again (inflamed eyelids)She had it really badly from 3 to 5, and needed hospital treatment. Will book gp appointment, but it's really one of those things that just comes and goes and just needs management, but is sooo uncomfortable (constantly burning, itchy eyelids).
Must get dd3's main present today off internet (scooter)then start wrapping!

sorkycake · 27/11/2008 09:20

Woke up at 5am and cleaned my house . It's soooo peaceful having a coffee and pottering round at that time of the morning within anyone pecking your head

My back is far better in the mornings it seems. Wonder if I could go to work from 5-8am?

Haven't bough buggy yet, waiting for right deal. Gonna surf net today and see what I can get.

Got more visitors coming for a playdate this afternoon so have to go and tidy the playroom, though why is another question given it'll be blitzed within seconds of them being in there.

Kayz what position is the baby in do you know? If he's back-to-back it could be pre-labour starting, which would be fab!!

Good luck with the scan Nat hope he's floating adequately.

Car is gone and finished with, much relieved. Last of parcels arrived today so I got wrapping to do and that's it.

I've just realised I'm actually in the 3rd trimester now. Ooh, I think I should start getting ready for this baby coming. Or will I wait until the tree is down after Christmas....decisions....decisions!

Right, we've got some maths to do, so I'd better shift.

largeginandtonic · 27/11/2008 09:40

Aw thanks guys. I just need some sleep and the whinging to STOP. I have not been out the house all week bar a few school runs. I am stir crazy.

Soooo Nat and Kay you are still pregnant then! Nat you do need to keep that baby in there, he is not ready yet. I am with you on the pathetic sobbing, i have not done it yet but been pretty close in the last week.

Kay have you heard of Caulphyllum? It is a homeopathic remedy. It will only tip you over the edge if labour is imminent but is very effective. Be warned it can make labour super fast. I have taken it and had ds#4 in 40 minutes, i gave it to a friend who had her baby in the hospital car park and another had an ambulance outside the door within half an hour having had the baby on her bed (not planned HB)

DS#4 was 14 days late as i was holding him in (ds#3 was in hospital with Pneumonia) but as soon as i knew he was ok the labour went crazy.

I took it for a few days then had a break when ds went in to hospital. I stays there till you are ready to birth.

Are you brave enough????!

tinkisallreadytositonthetree · 27/11/2008 09:52

Diege · 27/11/2008 10:27

Great stuff TINKS, that dress is lovely
Sorry GYO I attributed LG&T's bug to you . Let's hope I haven't passed it on!
LG&T that remedy sounds fascinating! Does it also make the contractions more painful or just speed things up? [hopeful but doubtful emoticon]
SORKY, congrats on 3rd trimester. Wow, come xmas the wagon nursery will be open 247!
Well, have done a lot of xmas shopping on web. Got dd3's main present (scooter) and also some toys from Letterbox, plus stocking fillers from Blooming Marvellous. Letterbox gave me a discount too, without enetering code, but I'm not complaining!
Right, really must get dressed for postie...

largeginandtonic · 27/11/2008 10:37

No more painful but it makes it very intense. If contractions start naturally you should have a gradual build up and the body can produce endorphins to help you through it. If the labour is super quick your body has no time to help you out really. I went in to shock after i had ds#4, the second midwife didnt even make it!

Tink the clothes are nice, leggings are sooooo not a good look on me though Especially with my current cankles ankles

GruffaloSoldier · 27/11/2008 10:37

Morning all

I am 20 weeks today! Halfway - yee ha!

Unfortunately have woken up with very sore throat and headache on my day off so am feeling very sorry for myself.

NJ - good luck for the scan today!

Diege - sorry to hear that you are still suffering with sickness!

Kay - give that baby a stern talking too

Gyo - I think I'll be heading over to H&M in Guildf. then as I think I'll be needing those soon. My bump is a good size but very neat. Am still in my jeans!

Ses - dont work too hard on your busy days!

I am off to see my sister in London on Sat as she has been travelling for last 15 months. She came home briefly in June but havent seen her since then. Im so excited!

Right need to flake out now...
