ORDER IT!! Thats an order!!!

I actually really like the smell of the Clary Sage. But I don't think it has done anything. I tried to do some weeding of the ladygarden but its sooo hard when you can't see anything.

Someone suggested a DIY sweep but it hurt when I had one with DS so I am not going to try that.

I do feel very relaxed now which is a good thing. Just waiting for DH and DS to come home from the shop with my Iron.

Hi Sorky - I'd say buy it! Oh and I def have a useless MW. She is very nice but absolutely no help at all. TBH, that actually seems like one up from a lot of people, at least she's nice. It wouldnt be so much of an issue if I had a good gp, but again its more of the same, very nice, very sympathetic but naff all use. I also agree with the necessary evil thing, I suppose thats what I was trying to say in a long winded way.

Nat - hope you're right and it doesn't get much worse. I am ok as long as I don't try to climb stairs (I work on the 1st floor with toilets/kitchen on the ground which doesnt help), walk more than a few 100m in one go, ever dare to stand on 1 leg (stupidly did that this morning trying to put trousers on)lie on my back or sit still too long. I can generally avoid most of that though, as I work in an office and am driving to work now, so right now its not too much of an issue.

Kay - I know what you mean, I found it really hard to sort mine out at the weekend and I must be no where near as large as you!

Diege · 26/11/2008 17:06

Wow TINK what a bump!!
yes, agree buy the pram SORKY! That reminds me, did you go for the freecycle pram?
I'm good thanks PLAYING . Still sick, but nausea is def reducing and feeling a little more energetic. Just grateful that I see to be following my pattern of sickness stopping at end of first trimester. I must be the only one on wagon that's so lucky!
Have negotiated a partial refund with e-bay situation, so not bad considering.
Right, time for crumpets (not crumpet ). Off now I think so night all and speak tomorrow xx

sorkycake · 26/11/2008 17:45

Kayz I'm leaving mine to the professionals. I have a pre-birth ritual around the day I'm due to go to a salon for half a day and let them sort me out.
I usually have a facial, pedicure, eyebrows/lashes etc and wax everything vaguely hairy. I might have the body scrub thingy as well this time. Money well spent.
I highly recommend it, though you may want to use a different salon to your regular one.
I didn't want to run the risk of later having my regular beautician say "do you remember when your fanjo resembled a shaggy sheep?"

Will scout out pram then as I'm under strict orders.
Kayz I'm so jealous you're having your baby soon. Seems ages to go for me

Shall we have a sweep stake on date/time/weight then?

I'm going for:

15/12/08 at 9pm weighing 8lb8oz

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 26/11/2008 17:53

I'll say: 4th Dec, 2.43am weighing 8lb7oz

Sickness has gone after a cheese sandwich for lunch... however my normally bottomless pit of a stomach doesn't want anything else yet... so all day i've had one cheese barm... As long as i dont wake up in the night starving i'm sure i'll be fine....

Kay- your bump looks about the same as mine!!! can't believe that, and your 19wks ahead of me!!

Tink- your bump looks amazing!!!!!

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 17:54

Nooooooo, I don't want him to be late!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 26/11/2008 17:56

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 17:57

X-post Glask. 4th sounds good. Would like the 1st I think.

Mum has just come round to pick up the new car seat and has taken DS too!! Only for an hour or so but its still some peace and quiet so we're going to have fish and chips.

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 17:58

x-post again hehe!

12th December.

sorkycake · 26/11/2008 17:59

I'm not wishing you go over, just that's the date that came to me.

If it were up to me babes I'd have you go into labour tonight!

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 18:04

Thanks Sorky, me too.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 26/11/2008 18:05

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 26/11/2008 18:06

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 26/11/2008 18:32

right i'm getting off the blimin PC or i'll be here all night!! tata ladies... will be around tomorrow.

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 19:35

I've just had my sausage and chips but the curry sauce was so hot I really struggled to eat it.

So we can now cross spicy food off the list
clary sage
spicy food
walk to shops
sex

Anything else to add?

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 26/11/2008 19:41

Not sure Kay but I think it gets to the stage where you'll just try anything!!
Actually thinking about it, have you tried evening primrose oil?

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 19:44

No I haven't. Ooooh what do I do with it?

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 26/11/2008 19:49

I'm sure I read somewhere on a thread on MN (could have been this one??!) that it often brings labour on within 12-36 hrs.
Hang on and I'll see if I can find a link...

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 19:53

Thanks Ses.

My wedding ring has just come off!!!!!! I am so happy now. I hate not having it on but I'm going to put it on a necklace and wear it like that.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 26/11/2008 20:26

Sorry, got interrupted by Tesco delivery and now can't find the thread(s) but have found this:
here
which talks about EPO and other things...

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 26/11/2008 20:27

Btw, great that your wedding ring is off and good plan to wear it round your neck. Earlier in the week I had the opposite problem with my thumb ring where it kept falling off so I put that round my chain too.

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 20:32

Thanks Ses, I found the eating Eggplant quite funny. Might get some EPO tomorrow.

I had to wear my wedding ring on a necklace with DS too. I did get a lot of grief from people about not being married though.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 26/11/2008 20:38

That makes me sooo angry. It's one of the things that I think is important in life - not to be judgemental. Even if you were unmarried - so what! That would be your choice and not harming anyone! As it happens you do have your DH and they can judge all they like!
Oooh I must step down from my soap box - I scare myself sometimes!!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 26/11/2008 20:41

Oh read this too!!

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 20:44

The worst was at DH's Grans funeral. Someone she knew is catholic and he had a go at us at the wake. Called me a 'homewrecker' because of course DH had his wedding ring on and he thought I was his mistress!! I was going to burn in hell and DS wasn't going to go to heaven despite what he did in his life.
It was really horrible. He never bloody said sorry either as he said he wasn't to know.
