Hello

So many wagoners being sick.. really not good- but you still are chirpy

Diege- re bump bands. Got two pack from H&M for 9.99 and they were big to start but now are getting tighter. Invaluable as I am long in body so tops are never long enough. Also really warm when its 1degree on the station platform

Did look at them in blooming marv but they were too much money. 17 for one, although reversible and striped!

Thanks for DP advice Nat- will go and look!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 26/11/2008 12:35

OMG- so sex for bringing on labour isnt as good as an oral version? how bizarre!

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 12:40

Yeah GYo, someone on Due Dec's MW told her to mix it with Orange Juice!!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 26/11/2008 12:42

LOL about mixing with juice, think I'd rather take it down in one! sorry for those eating!

sorkycake · 26/11/2008 12:45

Sperm contains prostaglandins within the semen which is what the hospital use to ripen the cervix further in an induction, although they aren't present in as great an amount.
It needs to be deposited deeply at the cervix, so swallowing wouldn't ripen your cervix.
It is however high in zinc, so isn't altogether non-beneficial if you swallow

Sex with an O at the end for you is prolly your best bet I would imagine.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 26/11/2008 12:46

Glask, you are deffo bigger than me (hope that doesn't come across the wrong way?! LOL) I will try and get a pic on later, but I still haven't put the 20wk scan pics on, so don't hold your breath! Hope sickness eases with some rest.

Kay, the clary sage, it doesn't bring on labour, but it can make any contractions you're having (even without knowing it) stronger, and obviously the more stronger the contractions the likelyhood grows that it might turn into real labour (or you might be like me with DS2 and use it for 4 weeks with no more effect than if I'd have been not using it!) And it does smell.

I have been wrapping pressies only done about half of DS2's bday pressies, but it is a start! Just the other half to go, oh and then his xmas pressies, and then DS1's xmas pressies, and then everyone elses bloody xmas pressies... grrrrrrr! Usually love wrapping and making it all look special, but not when I can't sit on the floor and actually breathe at the same time, and I have no where else to do it now the boys have got my dining room so the table is gone.

I am going to stop moaning and get some lunch, t'is hungry work this wrapping lark y'know

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 12:49

We all thought that too Sorky but according to a MW it is better to come through your stomach. Either way I am not trying it!!

I have finally managed to put a pic of bump on my profile.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 26/11/2008 12:49

Sorry x posts...

Have heard that a MAN dreamt up the swallowing thing.... beggers belief doesn't it?

Agree with Sorky, sex where he goes first, then you go is best bet, also back to the keeping your bum up in the air for a while, though it is pretty damn difficult with a baby in your belly!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 26/11/2008 12:52

P.S. the age old doggy styleeeeeee is good for placing what's needed where....

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 26/11/2008 12:56

PMSL about the sperm chat. Love it, really cheered me up... wont tell DH.. will get him all perky for potential GOF before the birth

Lovely bump Kay!

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 13:01

Nat, I swear my DH must pay you to tell me these things!!! He'll be so happy if I tell him that!

Diege · 26/11/2008 13:07

Nat! Got a tip off one of those day time shows about wrapping - put your ironing board onto a low height setting so you can sit of sofa and use board as table, with sellotape and scissors on one end. It is going to change my life!!
GYO, those are the bump bands I've got! (and got on!)Agree, the pricier ones are a rip off - you could get a new top for the amount they charge!
Have just had my ugg boots through post (great), IO skirt, (great, but glad I got in sale as very flimsey fabric) and e-bay dress for dd1 - so disappointing. For 'worn once' there is a button missing and a rip in the fabric. That was one hell of a 'one wear' . Have e-mailed, so shall see...

Playingthe9monthwait · 26/11/2008 13:09

Morning all,

Heebee - sorry to hear that the news wasn't good but lets hope they can get it sorted now.

BB - glad you are making some progress on the tests/apt front.

Umm, I am def loosing my mind as I now can't remember what else I was going to say to everyone else. So, I'll just say hi to all instead!

Had a MW apt today. She told me to go to Boots to get a Fembrace or something. Reckons its pelvic girdle pain rather than SPD which seems basically a bit like the same thing but the problem is at the back of my pelvis rather than the front. She didn't say anything about physio though, so I am thinking I should probably go the the gp and try and get refered. Either that or go and visit my local osteopath. Besides that, everything else was fine, so nothing bad to report.

Although the MW did make me laugh when she asked if I was now enjoying my pg and I said "no". She looked rather taken back and didn't really know what to say. As far as I'm concerned there is nothing to enjoy! Yes I have stopped being sick (mainly) but I cant sleep so I'm knackered and I can't walk as it hurts. Whats to enjoy about that? I mean its ok, its just what you go through to get a baby and I know it could be and probably will be worse, but enjoy actually being pg, I don't think so!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 26/11/2008 13:15

You kind of have to think back to all those months ago Kay, when you were wondering what the best postion/technique was to get pregnant, it's the same principle to get them out!

Oooh Diege, deliveries sound good, except the eBay one, for you, why do sellers even bother trying it on with something like that? It would be fairly obviously the buyer wouldn't just let it go FGS! And as for the ironing board, not sure what one of those are.... Wouldn't it be too narrow? I like to make sure the paper is flat else it get's all creased, and then it might even rip, and you get all tangled in the selotape while you're trying to hold it all together before taping it up.... god some people don't know when to shut up do they?! Am going to wrap some more before DS1 is due home!

Diege · 26/11/2008 13:51

LOL NAT . I think the ironing board is somewhere to do the actually folding and sticking, and would work for small presents - go on, try it you cynic
Good to hear from you PLAYING - I think lots of people don't enjoy their pregnancies, and I'm sure your gripes weren't the first the midwife had heard. I did actually enjoy the weeks from about 20 to 30 as physically fine, and if I'm honest I'm one of the few pregnant women who was quite envious of those who reached their due dates/went overdue. Seems really exciting to me to go over

kayzisexpecting · 26/11/2008 14:08

Great, I'll go back to ttc then Nat!!!

DS has gone to sleep so I think I might join him and nap.

Playingthe9monthwait · 26/11/2008 14:14

Hi Deige, I think its great that many women enjoy at least part of their pg, I think thats probably more normal. I probably sounded like I was moaning which I am not, god there are people on this thread who are having it much worse than me. My pg isn't too bad, I just wouldn't ever describe pg as enjoyable! It just made me smile when she asked me directly if I was enjoying it and I said no and she looked so taken aback! I suppose most people probably either are or just say yes as its polite or something. Maybe I am too honest for my own good!

Anyhow more than enough about me, how are you feeling now Diege?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 26/11/2008 14:19

Sorry Playing, x posts but it looked like I completely ignored you sorry for aches and pains, if it helps, it's deffo gonna get worse before it get's better! My first pregnancy was enjoyable, second was fine until the contractions started, then not quite so enjoyable, 3rd was over before it started, and this one, I think I am growing the son of the devil... he had better be better behaved when he get's land side is all I'm saying!

I don't think the words 'going' and 'overdue' are even in Kay's dictionary at the moment!

Playingthe9monthwait · 26/11/2008 14:40

Hi Nat, Tink and Kay,

Tis alright Nat, I knew you werent really ignoring me. And yes, I am sure it will only get worse, I am not really that big yet, so as I grow I expect much more pain. I'm not that bothered actually, pain is something I am an old hat at and quite used to dealing with, sickness is far worse.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 26/11/2008 14:48

My goodness me Tink, that is some bump!

Playing you may find with it being the back of your pelvis that it won't get proportinatly worse with the extra weight, your spine will help take some of the weight, where as if it was the front there isn't much to help take the load. Of course that means you may get an achy back, but that is pretty much part and parcel of pregnancy anyway!

sorkycake · 26/11/2008 15:37

Pregnancy has it's moments for me, but honestly by no.4 I'm so over being pregnant it's untrue. Playing, I'm viewing it as a necessary evil tbh, I want the 4th baby and if I could do it another way I would've done.

I think that that m/w is talking utter shite! IMHO (which is the law as we all know ) m/w are like HV, don't trust a bloody word they say.

Tink how many babies are you having!?! that's quite a bump you've got there. Hope most of it is water hehehe!

Kayz please do sniff the oil before adding it to the bath or you will smell of wet dog.
'Course if you don't want sex then shake away, he will not find the scent attractive

Diege what was the girl doing in said dress? rock climbing?

tinkisallreadytositonthetree · 26/11/2008 15:50

i seem to be all bump with tis one havent gained much weight anywhere else

sorkycake · 26/11/2008 16:03

Tink I bet it's all out front with you and you're one of those lucky few who don't look different from the back

sorkycake · 26/11/2008 16:04

OMG I posted an ad on Adtrader for my old car this morning and it's just sold!!!
