Congratulations Chocolategal and hello Ewan . Ewan was my 1st choice name before I went down the "Wyatt" route. Good job I had a girl, EVERYONE tells me, as none of my friends or family liked it!

vbab78 · 24/11/2008 09:35

fingers crossed doctorswife . Looking forward to seeing you on the other thread.

Tinkerisdead · 24/11/2008 11:45

Midwife has just been, still contracting every ten mins for a minute. midwife happy its consistent but reckon this bambino is coming tomorrow at this rate. she's set me up on the tens machine which im not sure i like, two lots of gripping sensations during a contraction. Off for a walk to see if i can get further than every ten minutes. loging off so i'll text twink if any more news. xxx

reluctantincubator · 24/11/2008 12:08

YAY! Am sending lots of strong contraction vibes for drswife - no going back now hopefully!

I am still left oblomov, but I am not due til Friday. I was pogo-ing to a rock band on saturday night but nothing except tiredness to show for it so far. I suspect a december baby is on the cards for me but we shall see!

ChocOrange05 · 24/11/2008 12:48

Good luck DW - get walking and bouncing!!!

LeakyDAISYcal · 24/11/2008 16:59

News from Barbareeba (another whopper baby!)

"William James was born at 2.20pm yesterday. 9lb 7oz. Long labour - started sat nite, he was back 2 back, failed ventouse, forceps delivery - yowch! Mummy and daddy v proud and are completely in love with their beautiful boy."

She sounds very happy, but eeeek, that's a big first baby...

Dozymare · 25/11/2008 16:11

Congrats Barbaree what a whopper!!!!!! Who is left now??!

reluctantincubator · 25/11/2008 16:17

Hi DozyMare - me, toolly and tegan still waiting. There has been a long, suspicious silence from Drswife (in a good way) , which I hope means that she went into full on labour and (fingers crossed) has got her baby now (or at least it is very imminent!) Hope I haven't missed any other stragglers.

zonedout · 25/11/2008 17:37

Congratulations to Barbareeba, well done on your whopper!

It seems we are very boy-heavy on this thread?

So we went to the paed this am who diagnosed ds2 as having laryngomalacia and some silent reflux hence all the crazy noises he makes as soon as he lies flat and the frequent and rather frightening coughing, choking and gagging he does. Although, thank goodness, both these conditions are rather mild in him at present I have been told to expect things to get worse before they get better. At the moment he is thriving and putting on loads of weight so we are going meds free and just managing the symptoms at home by keeping him upright and panicking assisiting him when he chokes. I just pray that his reflux doesn't get as bad as it did with ds1, not sure I could face another hellish first year!

zonedout · 25/11/2008 17:47

oops severe baby brain! Meant to post this on the dark side!

twinkle183 · 25/11/2008 19:36

Evening all!!!

Congrats to new babies born since I was last on...

Drswife has had a baby girl - Sophie Ella born today at 12:45 after a whopping 35hr labour, she was 7lb 15oz - she was trying to come out face first while sucking her thumb so ended up with C section!!! She tried all the pain relief in the world - tens, pool, gas 'n' air, epidural and then c section! Mother and baby doing fine... pics to follow once she has recovered!!!
