here you all are!!! I thought the other thread had gone a bit quiet

I've just had a lovely snooze on the sofa for an hour and a half; hopefully it'll make the night feeds a bit easier.

Hi all, just bookmarking, can't sit on computer chair for any longer. Just from this page looks like a lot of things have been happening. Will catch up asap but may be a while.

Love to all and big big hugs from me - how the hell are you all?

Hi all, just had a lovely reflexology session where she said she was concentrating on all the hormone points - but she didn't want to do too much as she likes our chats and it could be the last session if she does it too well! I think its like a lot of other alternatives though - only effective if you're ready anyway.
Off to read ChocOs birth story now, and admire more cute baby pictures in a none way!

Isn't he a sweetie ChocO - it always amazes me how tiny DSs head looks in his first photos when his hat is too big, it certainly didn't feel small! Enjoy being at home as a family

hoooray baby vbab is here!!!

babydee is still nice and warm inside me. had a few more niggles this morning and slight panic when i was bursting for a wee and couldnt go, its not fun wigling around trying to get baby to move off bladder so i could pee.

am 39 weeks today, midwife appointment this afternoon, will ask her if she will consder doing a sweep next week if things dont progress by then. hopefully things will get moving soon, as this stop-start is draining me.

Morning all, was just off checking out chocorange live birth thread, arghh..mine is back to back..im gonna give up and scream for the drugs arent i?

Vbab congrats on alyssa, cant believe daddy delivered her...my DH would freak out, he wont even use the coping points shown to him by the reflexologist. if he saw a head crowning i bet he'd call his mother round the corner!!

pinkali im loving Esme's shock of hair!

So, i have the midwife coming aaaaggggaaiiinnn!!! checking blood pressure, oh i was so hopeful last night, i had exactly what choc described on her birth thread, intense period pains every five minutes. but because they felt like period pains i was thinking "i thought a contraction would grip me in an undeniable, this is it way" they died off after 45 minutes. gutted.

barb it was me that said a sweep is like being fisted, i dont mean that she has her whole hand in, she uses middle finger but if cervix is posterior she really has to reach and so you get their hands really pressing on your pubic bones. it doesnt hurt though, i might ask for another one today as these pains are pissing me off and i may as well ramp them up if i can. very very bored of being pregnant now. want to wrap up warm in a hat and scarf and get off out with my pram

Morning to everyone else. Am 41 weeks today and no sign of anything happening here.
Good luck being swept again Drs Wife. I'm having my first sweep tomorrow

chocolate if im at home..there is no drugs just the water and the gas [argghhhhh] chocorange thats not enough is it???

Honestly sweep is fine all, its just the fact i know my midwife so well now, remember all my appointments are two hours in my house, she is like a friend now! so when she starts "sweeping" me it feels very wrong! chat chat chat about her kids, "can you take your knickers off now" chat chat chat.

Drswife can you not get a prescription from your GP for meptid to keep at home ready? Have yu got a tens machine? Then I think you've exhausted options apart from hypnotherapy
