I don't drink nowhere near as much as your supposed to. I don't really ever feel thirsty...I was gonna ask you if it was your first baby, but looked on the list and can see it's not. When I saw MW last friday, before I'd felt any movements, I told her I was worried as I thought you were supposed to feel them earlier the second time round, and she said, most mothers feel something by the time they go for the 20 week scan, and that they don't really see any concern if you don't feel anything before that. I can completely see how your feeling though. Look at me, I was talking to MW bout concerns on Friday, and the movement started on Sunday, just like that. Have you tried lying on the bed, quietly for a while, resting your hands on your tummy. That's where I find my "Fred" moves more X

Momino · 20/11/2008 14:25

thanks Jael, I'll try that right now.

Afternoon everyone!
I had such a bad morning at work, im hormonal anyway - i can laugh at it now but last night i was so upset i couldnt stop crying but was fine this morning until i went to work and had an awful client who sat on her...bottom and just moaned about everything while i was clearing everything up for her then i gave her her medication and she said she wanted more! Ha! THEN she was shouting saying i hadnt done anything (i had washed her, dressed her, emptied her catheter, made her breafast, made her a cup of tea, gave her a glass of water and all her meds and put her washing away) so i was so i angry! I said "Im going now!" and she went "You've only been here 5 minutes!" and i said "IVE BEEN HERE AN HOUR!!!!!!!!" and had to walk out. How rude!
lol sorry for the moan
But a good thing, another client gave me £20 to get a keepsake for the baby - usually we arent allowed to take money but he phoned my boss up and said he wouldnt take no for an answer. I thought that was really sweet and made my day! Think we are going to get a memory box with the money.

Me and my fiance were laying down last night and he had his hand on bump and it gave a wriggle He couldnt feel it cos its still so small but it made us giggle!

I had a craving for fish and chips last night with curry sauce so i thought, sod it, go for it! It was lovely

Hope everyone is well today

Momino · 20/11/2008 14:37

nothing after five mins. i'm going to have to leave it and try not to worry as i'm getting nothing done at work.

there's nothing i can do about it now but just wait. and worry.

Momino · 20/11/2008 14:39

due1st, that's a lovely story about the £20... thoughtful people are out there .

Due1stMay09 · 20/11/2008 14:46

Its really sweet, hes really ill as well, and had a really troubled background. Im going to get him a prezzie once the babys born as a thank you!

Im so tired today, was up 4 times in the night needing a pee!

Is any one else like me in the fact as soon as they wake up they plan what they are having for breakfast, lunch and dinner?! hope its not just me lol im constantly thinking about food..we are going to my mum and dads tonight for home made lasagne, garlic bread and salad...mmmm

Jael · 20/11/2008 15:07

Mmm DP made homemade lasagne last night, and it was yum. I'm majorly craving turkey cranberry and stuffing. I'm absoloutely starving most of the time lol

Due1stMay09 · 20/11/2008 15:13

Mmmm turkey cranberry and stuffing! Oh now im craving that! I cant wait til christmas, stuff the presents i just want the food lol

Momino · 20/11/2008 15:28

Due1st - you don't have to wait till christmas for turkey. Thanksgiving is next Thu and the dinner is just the same. I'm american and we celebrate on the weekend after the day each year so have just ordered the turkey. can't wait.

i'm defn craving turkey/stuffing/cranberry combination. i think M&S do a special sandwich with same. shame we don't have an M&S next door.

off to get my s&V crisps.

Jael · 20/11/2008 15:39

I have at least one Turkey, cranberry and stuffing sandwich a wk. Thank goodness it's the time of year for them lol

divedaisy · 20/11/2008 16:37

Oh and I've got the christmas decorations up... in the shop! I haven't gone overboard cos there's not too much spare room. Just a nice purple 2ft tree with some blue lights and a few baubles, and lights round the window, and 'icicles' on the glass cabinet shelving.

Only a few weeks now until we go and get our tree - always let DS choose it! We try to get it as close to 1st December as possible... must start getting the decorations out of the cubby hole!! I love christmas decorations... but hate the shopping for pressies!

I'm really tired this week, too. Had to do an early shift yesterday and hadn't slept well, so went for a sleep in my break then after work I went to bed in the afternoon for almost 4 hours!! I'm 13 weeks tomorrow - I don't think this tiredness and nausea will magically go tomorrow though!

Off to get some S&V crisps and to have another little lie-down!!
x

detsy · 20/11/2008 19:08

16 weeks today, woo hoo. Actually managed to get a bit of work done today and had a few conversations with my boss so feel less guilty about not being in the office.

I def need some munchies - my litle sis has just gone out for a curry for us but I need aome pre curry munchies... trouble is there is no shop for miles - real PITA. But think I will need choc and diet coke later this evening so may trog off to next village for supplies... Maybe some mince pies...

Febes · 20/11/2008 19:28

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow!! Huge bump now I told the kids at school and they wanted to feel the baby. It was nice. Haven't felt any kicks yet but I felt DD when I was 16 weeks so hopefully soon.

bekkaboo · 20/11/2008 19:44

Hi sorry to be thick but who else is due 16TH MAY and how many weeks does that make you now?

basically in due 16th but trying to work out why im only 14 +2 today?

Febes · 20/11/2008 19:55

Dunno but I'm due 8th may and I'm 16 weeks tomorrow.

pulapula · 20/11/2008 20:45

bekkaboo- i calculate that you should be 14+5 today? If you think your due date seems about right (based on your cycle etc) then i'd say to think of yourself as 14+5 (less time to go!).

llareggub · 20/11/2008 20:54

bekkaboo if you go to babycentre then there is a due date calculator that will tell you how many weeks you are and give you a weekly update on baby's development in utero.

bekkaboo · 20/11/2008 21:10

thanks guys, suppose only 3 days out then so not really i problem if i think of 14 .5 days or 14.2. is it? ill og for 14.5

MsG · 20/11/2008 21:44

When will this flipping nausea go? It's really getting to me... Every night, if I don't eat like all the time, I start retching and just feel rubbish.

Momino · 20/11/2008 23:33

was first poster this morning, only seems fitting that i be the last one of the day. Just finishing work, organising antenatal courses.

Told my boss today i'm pregnant and found out I'm entitled to attend an antenatal course free of charge! I'm interested of course but may do a one on one since it's our third child and most who attend the NCT courses are first timers. I do think I need a refresher.

it's time for bed now as it's full on children tomorrow so no rest for me. hope you're all sleeping like babies (where did that phrase originate?). xx

frazzledoldbag34 · 21/11/2008 00:19

bekkaboo - I'm due 16th May! And last time I went for my scan (failed CVS scan day) they said the baby was measuring 12wks when I should really have been 11+5.
So today (or rather yesterday since it's now early hours friday morn) that would make me 14+5 but I've been thinking of myself as 15 wks today.
Sorry am confusing you.........officially on Saturday we'll be 15wks (but in my head I'll be 15+2 and therefore due on 14 May according to the last measurement, but then it does seem to change depending on which machine they use). Who knows when the baby will be born anyway, more than likely not on the due date!

Am just back from a posh work dinner, sober and minus my husband (who is still 'entertaining' clients and is not at all sober!)
Have just discovered that MIL (bless her) has put DD2 age 2 to bed in yesterdays sleep suit (when I had left a clean one out for her) and no sleeping bag (which I had also left out for her). She always has her bag on as she always kicks off blankets and wakes up cold and crying. Am now trying to work up the courage to go in and try to put her sleeping bag on her with out waking her up. And to make it worse I can hear her coughing like a 20/day smoker (DD not MIL - she's gone home).
Why do MIL's never do what you ask them to do? She's also left dirty dishes all over the kitchen (!) and the kids clothes on the floor. I don't expect her to tidy my house when she's baby sitting (obviously) but it was TIDY when she arrived and now it looks like a bomb site. Grrrr.
Apparently she's been on ebay all night.

Right, off to bed. Tired and grumpy. (probably being unreasonable but am just a bit cross). And bloody freezing here. Apparently it's about to snow.
Night ladies.
Hope all well x x

Hi everyone Carol7 here the amnio was not pleasant a bit scary Have to wait til tuesday for the quick result. Most worried about the chance of miscarriage the doctor said most common 7-10days after amnio. Feel quite fragile and a bit sore today having a lazy day. Anyone else had an amnio recently thanks Carol7

Momino · 21/11/2008 12:55

hi all. everyone ok today?
Carol, not had amnio but sending you a big hug. do as you're doing: take it easy, sleep, if you can, let others take care of you.
