detsy · 17/11/2008 23:06

Gosh that was speedy no 2 preg for your friend Pula!

Fi - lol about Douglas mind you with my cough and peeing problem I feel pretty much the same at the moment

Am sure the sexy black number will not be a prob for your DH!!

Off to bed too now - sleep tight all x

detsy · 17/11/2008 23:09

We did that tho fortunately we kept Bean as her 3rd middle name - not sure how appreciative she'll be when she's older... I must go to bed..

FiKelly · 17/11/2008 23:22

YAY finished the marathon DVD listings on ebay. Phew... 79 DVD's listed in two evenings. My eyes have gone all weird with all the scrolling of pages. Gonna make a hot choc (ease the grumbling tum) and head off to bed after I've had a little surf

Momino · 17/11/2008 23:25

emma, i love 'nemo' that's really cute!

we'll have three under three and a half (just to be exact about it). and a hyper dog. not to mention dh...

my mom had 12.... i have nothing to complain about, eh?

Momino · 17/11/2008 23:27

looks like you're all going to bed and i really must follow.

night, night!

FiKelly · 17/11/2008 23:29

12!!!! you mum must have been a mega super mum

FiKelly · 17/11/2008 23:31

momino what was it like to have so many siblings? As an only child it's a concept I can only wonder at!

FiKelly · 17/11/2008 23:45

right I'm off to bed now too.. night night all xx

LoobyLou36 · 18/11/2008 08:22

Well I've bid on the nursery bedding set I found on ebay...so fingers crossed.
Showed DH last night and he said we should wait till we know what it is but I pointed out that as you agreed FiKelly it was suitable for both. Think DH is still nervous that it could all go wrong (as I am on a bad day). He has bad memories of a pregnancy with his first wife when they had a really awful decision at the 20wk scan.
So I try to be positive for the both of us even tho I don't always feel it.
I think listening to the baby on the doppler I hired helps him as much as it does me.

Momino · 18/11/2008 09:15

morning all.
fiKelly, it was manic growing up amongst 12. we had to share everything, handmedown clothes, five in a bedroom, no attention, no space. i think i subconsciously moved to the UK to get away from it all. but now, i really appreciate the friendship i have especially with the siblings close to my age.

a lot of people joke that now, on no3, are we trying to catch up with my parents but at 39 there is no chance (thank goodness!).

any scans today anyone?

LoobyLou36 · 18/11/2008 09:23

momino as an only child I always wished for a close sibling or two (I was a mistake when my mum was 40), especially as my half sister was so much older than me, she went on to have 5 children and now adults they are all very close.

I don't want this baby to be an only child, at 36 surely there is still time? Altho DH says he's getting the snip after this one

Due1stMay09 · 18/11/2008 10:15

Hello may mums! Just a quick post, pleased to see theres lots of others due on May 1st! Let me know how you are all getting on, are any of you starting to show? Have any of you felt them little butterfly like moves?!
Hope everyone is well, take care x

MissyK · 18/11/2008 10:15

Morning ladies, it's only 10am & I'm already having a bad day I popped into the local chemists on the way home from dropping ds at playschool & I passed out. My blood pressure was low - 94/58 & my pulse was 110.
I've been sent home to sit with my legs elevated & try and get some rest but Steven (pharmasist & family friend) wants me to call in again tomorrow for them to be re-checked.

How many of you have started to look at/buy baby things? I keep finding myself glancing at ebay and then realise 30mins or so have passed . But as I know the sex I'm finding it hard not to order lots of clothes, dh says we have months yet but everything's so cute!!

MissyK · 18/11/2008 10:18

Due1stMay09 I'm also due on the 1st (or 30th April), most definite obvious bump, & 2-3 'butterflies' a day, sometimes more (this is my 2nd).
How are you finding pregnancy so far?

Due1stMay09 · 18/11/2008 10:28

MissyK Congratulations! I am feeling huge, definite bump which i love but still getting used to having it there!
Felt something on thursday night and had my 16 week check up with my midwife on the friday and she reckons that i felt it. Then heard the heart beat with her which was amazing and very reassuring! And friday night laid on the sofa and felt more fluttering and its happened since then.
Its all new to me but i am loving it

Due1stMay09 · 18/11/2008 10:30

I must go as im going to be late for work but i can see myself getting addicted to this! Only 1 client this morning (which i am getting assessed on but hopefully all goes well, i will be back on here after!

LoobyLou36 · 18/11/2008 10:31

Anyone else still suffering from MS?

I seem to get waves of it at all times of the day. Got a bout at the moment - nealry pukked on my keyboard!

annandcait · 18/11/2008 11:08

Just trying to catch up with messages after spending the last week or so all-but bed bound with sciatica.
I saw someone was looking for a belly belt. I got mine from here: belly belt )and it lasted me well into my last pg). Time to go and do some more catching up!

annandcait · 18/11/2008 11:14

aww Looby [hugs] yes - I'm still suffering too. I got hyperemises with my last 2 and I've found ways of making it a bit easier. I basically avoid wheat, sugar, dairy and acidic fruits. Sounds really restrictive (well - it is) but I'd rather eat the same thing all day than be throwing up all the time. I also use a herbal tea from the same people as I got my belly belt from which I find if I take at night - makes me feel less nauseous in the morning.

Take good care,xx

MsG · 18/11/2008 11:50

Morning all. I thought my nausea was getting better till I watched I'm A Celeb last night... I couldn't stop retching! Yuck.

My tiredness seems to be getting worse at the moment - anyone else?

frazzledoldbag34, I work from home and my walls are Laura Ashley duck egg, and I have wallpaper on one wall which is also duck egg with white branches and birds on - it looks lovely!

xx

frazzledoldbag34 · 18/11/2008 12:28

oooh MsG - I was on the Laura Ashley website last night looking for wallpaper. I think I saw that one - very nice!
My office is also at home and is done in Farrow and Ball 'Smoked Trout' - I think it's smoked trout, either that or 'Dead Trout!" . I just love the farrow and ball names - we also have 'Elephants Breath' in a bedroom and I particularly like 'Mouse's Back'!!!
I'm also with you on the tiredness issue - was just wondering whether I could get away with sneaking in a quick 20min power nap as am knackered - but MIL due back to finish painting the nursery and I don't want her to find me skiving! (or sleeping!) She'd be most disapproving.
Have also got far too much work to do today.
Yawn.
Quite excited as am just about to order 8 cherry trees for my front garden - have visons of them sparkling with white christmas lights in a few weeks time. Aaaaahhhh.
