Bleeding out badly - phoned midwife and have got to go to A&E

MissyK · 11/11/2008 13:52

Good luck Jools.

Loobylou - if rhesus negative you have to have the injections, well, they made me last time round! It's to protect any future pregnancies, in case the babies blood is positive. I've already been told they're booking me in for my injections this time too.

good luck jools1, hope everything is ok and its not bad news. thinking of you

MrsEvs · 11/11/2008 13:55

Jools - Fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you this afternoon. Hope it's good news. Just to back up what others said I also had bleeds (one or two clots included) with both my pregnancies and esp in my first. Often it was around the time I would have had my period, don't know if that applies to you or not. Anyway, good luck and sending you positive vibes accross the ocean!

Announced my pregnancy on Facebook yesterday - and got a load of nice messages, plus a funny one from one friend who said "no way, is your telly broke or something?!?" Made me chuckle

frazzledoldbag34 · 11/11/2008 14:02

oh Jools I'll be thinking of you this afternoon.
[power hug] x x x

SweetBROODY · 11/11/2008 14:12

Aww Jools... good luck sweetheart..

SweetBROODY · 11/11/2008 14:14

MrsEvs DH did that for us! It was quite funny.. a few people asked him who the dad is! made me laugh.. not sure if that was meant for me or for him!

really hope Jools is ok.. we're due on the same day i'm crying its so sad..

Momino · 11/11/2008 14:38

so worried about Jools as well. Hope the news is good and we can all breathe sigh of relief.

we're feeling better from tummy bug in this house, thank goodness except for runny nappies in the girls which better clear by tomorrow. nursery will send them home if they have more than one runny poo (sorry tmi). They're not allowed to be ill on my work days right? That's the trouble for working mums, I guess.

hope all are well today and everyones nausea subsiding.

MrsEvs · 11/11/2008 14:40

Yep, I'm the 29th too - really hope all is well.

SweetBROODY · 11/11/2008 15:02

I do need to go clothes shopping but everythings so expensive.. I thought i'd wait for the Jan sales - but will be huge by then I think :S at 20 weeks would we be showing?

FiKelly · 11/11/2008 15:09

just caught up on the last 2 pages... feeling so rotten at the moment it's been a struggle to just keep up with DS.

Hoping everything goes ok with jools.. i too had random bleeding with DS and it's a scary old business. Keeping everything crossed it's ok.

Momino · 11/11/2008 15:10

i really need jeans.
anyone have Gap maternity jeans? there's a pair on ebay which are US4 which technically is a UK8 but I am a small size 8 and worry that gap are sized big - MrsEvs do you know?

i seem to think Gap size 4 would be more of a 10 and would love an opionion before i bid. or maybe i should just be safe and buy full price in the shop.

sorry for double post - touchy keyboard, I guess .

MrsEvs · 11/11/2008 15:42

I don't have Gap maternity jeans Momino, but I did have Old Navy ones who are same manufacturer and I didn't find they were sized big. Hmmmm not sure. Now I think though my sister-in-law who is a UK 6 , did buy a size 0 Gap jeans when she came to visit - they weren't maternity jeans though, just regular. I'm not a big help - sorry! So hard without trying them on - at least if you bought them from the store you could return them and get a smaller size if they weren't right. If I were anywhere close to a size 4 I'd offer to go and try them on for you, but sadly for me I'm a US 12 (UK 14/16), so I'm afraid we're at opposite ends of the scale!!!

SweetBROODY · 11/11/2008 15:57

MrsEvs me to lovely! I'm a 14/16!

I need some clothes...but not sure whether to wait a few more weeks till I have more of a bump. I'm a bit fat anyway but have a bit of a bump, but not much. I have expanded though! I live in a place where the shops aren't very good, though, so am wondering whether to order some stuff online. I really want to get some jeans. I'm about a size 16/18 normally, but I think my hips have grown so I may need to buy maternity gear in a size 20. I don't know. Anyone else in a similar position?

I am going to find it hard to find stuff that fits as I'm tall as well. Good job I work from home and don't need clothes for work. x

Jools1 · 11/11/2008 16:30

Quick update on my phone from gynae a@e

Have been bleeding incredibly heavily for 4 hours now and passing huge clots so I think it must be all over

Am quite weak from blood loss and BP is very lowM at least cramps are subsiding

divedaisy · 11/11/2008 16:39

Jools - really sending you positive sticky vibes - hope everything goes well for you today. XXX

Loobylou - I'm Rh neg also - if you have any bleeding during your pregnancy you'll need the Anti-D injection. You'll also get it later on in your preg - nothing at all to worry about - it protects you for future pregnancies also.

i got Next maternity jeans on Sunday. There is a bit of a gap at the back, but with a belt they're fine. I hate buying new jeans, but I've found Next ones suit me OK, and are reasonably priced too.

MrsG - do shop on linem, but I'd order your regualr size - maternity wear is sized to allow for the expansion! You can always send them back - buy from a reputable online shop!!

Have you tried the Belly Belt?? Ebay have a few ususlly on - they'll see you through the mid stages, and I'm hoping even beyond too!

STILL no 12 week scan app. might ring my midwife and chase it up.
