Thanks ladies
I'm going to go to bed and try to get some rest, even if I don't sleep. Will update you in due course!

MonkeyMargot · 02/11/2008 21:45

Wahey! Good luck CriCri!! Our first November home birth with any luck!!
Welcome back Dozy and MerryM! You both sound so, so happy! Glad you're enjoying your new babies
I'm in the chocO camp and want things to start happening. Due date is Weds. I did have a "show" this evening so am hoping something has started moving down there.
Good luck to LadyB and Autumn!! 2 more babies tomorrow then and possibly more!
oooohhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Pinkyminkee · 02/11/2008 21:46

Wow how exciting, cricri good luck!

Hello Dozy- I know what you mean about wanting to get home. I had a nice quiet room to myself, too, but I was ready to get home after two nights. Hope your milk comes in soon. DD1 was like that- guzzle guzzle every twenty minutes but I think it helps stimulate your milk supply.

misssy big hugs- hope you little man is better soon.x

merry congratulations! I can't believe I missed soo much being in hospital. LOvely names, BTW, and glad Jude is out of special care now.

Good luck to Autumnlady and Ladybuzz for tomorrow!

vbab78 · 02/11/2008 21:54

monkeymargot - cool a show! fingers crossed things happen for you soon . with my DS i started with pains (not aches had them for hours before) a couple of hours later.

i'm due tomorrow and just want things to happen. i remembered with ds what it was like to be late (41+6) and wished it wouldnt happen again . S**T! keep telling myself not a good idea at the mo anyway with ds having diarrhorea as not sure he could visit me or baby in hospital.

MonkeyMargot · 02/11/2008 22:01

Vbabs It's so hard not to be patient when all around us everyone is popping like peas! But as you must know from last time, it WILL happen eventually! Has to!!
Sending labour vibes to you and also to choc. Pinky can't believe you all went out for a meal - good on you!! Amazing! I fully expect to be a dribbling mess with leaky breast, vomit covered clothes dressed in my worst wincyette PJ's. Have nothing but admiration for you!

vbab78 · 02/11/2008 22:05

thanks monkey. Really sorry for going off on one.

I'm convinced baby will appear on nephew (DH sister son) birthday on fri (7th nov) and really, really, really dont want that . sorry gone on about me, me, me again.

Pinkyminkee · 02/11/2008 22:07

vbab sorry to hear DS is poorly. DH had a tummy bug this week- terrible timing.

I can't believe how quickly all these babies are arriving. I think all my friends in my first antenatal group went overdue except my friend with twins.

argh! I have Pamela Anderson boobs!! Can't sleep!
Nothing I can really do either cos to express too much would make matters worse
Oh Woe is me

cricri · 03/11/2008 05:50

Missygoo Hope you managed to get some sleep in the end. When are you coming home?
No news to report here - no contractions, nothing! I've just been re-reading our previous thread as I think I've had the same as Drswife, a hindwater leak, as there's been nothing since last night. I'm going to call the midwife a bit later and see what the next step is. Really don't want an induction so I'll be doing all I can to avoid that. Baby is still moving nicely so that's a relief and my temperature is normal. I'm also going to speak to my homeopath and hopefully she'll say I can start taking the caullophyllum remedy to kick things off or give me something else to take. This is so frustrating!
MM Hope things start moving along for you too if you've had a show - it's a race between you and Hana isn't it?!
Hope everybody else is OK.

tegan · 03/11/2008 06:44

I'm glad i am not the only one up at such a silly time cricri.

I have 3 weeks to go and have just looked in my diary to find i have the busiest week of the year happening this week, oh and a wedding to go to on saturday which is over 100 miles away, i must be mad.

MonkeyMargot · 03/11/2008 07:43

Gosh - you two were up early cricri and tegan. Hope you get some rest later.
Cricri let us know what the next step is for you. From reading that other thread, the caullophyllum herb can be super-powerful and really get things moving quickly.
Missygoo poor you with bursting boobies . I'm sure they will settle down as your milk production gets more in tune with what is required?
Morning everyone else!

vbab78 · 03/11/2008 07:59

Due date today and no baby in sight.

lacks and ruth ok?

mum2becks · 03/11/2008 08:00

Morning everyone, looks like a few of you are having signs of things starting for you!! Still nothing to report here except have been up since 5.30am with DD so will be shattered later!!

Great to hear from so many of the new mummies last night, sounds like you are all settling in to your new babies so well and so soon!!!!!!! Not jealous at all

Will keep checking in today as know there are a couple of babies definately due today!!

MummyNic · 03/11/2008 08:00

Oh cricri I'm sorry to hear that the waters didn't amount to anything.

I had a bad evening, body seemed to be 'clearing out' and I've had a lot of backache. DH was very excited but I told him it'd be hours even IF it was the start. Nothing else to report really, still have the runs.

MummyNic · 03/11/2008 08:05

Choco - glad you liked the grand prix moment - It's got to be the TV moment of the year for me. Wish I'd recorded it now, I could do with a laugh!!!

I'm lucky in that I'm not being allowed to go overdue. Need to ring up for my sweep later. Also need to see the doc today. We have one of those systems where you ring on the day, lines open at 8am and (so it seems) the whole town trys to ring up - it's horrendous, redial, redial......

I just got through first time!!!!!! I genuinely feel like I've won the lottery!!!

Docs at 1130 - back to bed for me

misdee · 03/11/2008 08:49

WARNING selfish miserable post about to start.

I am utterly fed up of being pregnant now. I was shattered last night so went to bed before 10.30pm (early for a night owl like me). At 12.30 I was still awake, pratically in tears with backache again. I cannot get comfortable at all. I had a hot water bottle on my back and dh rubbing it and it just wasnt shifting. At one point I felt BabyDee turn and drop down a bit and the pain went, for all of 5 mins then she moved again and the pain was back worse than before.
I am fed up of damp pants, waking up feeling squealchy, the heartburn, morning sickness everything. I want this baby out ASAP. and i still have over two weeks until my official due date.

sorry.

chocolategal · 03/11/2008 09:22

Dozymare · 03/11/2008 09:26

Morning All - missdee sorry youhad such a bad night, if it's any consolation, I was up almost constantly with Tallulah who is so hungry and my7 milk is still not in......am going to start a thread for those of us who have had our babies so we can moan winge cry erm I mean shout from the roof tops about things like swollen boobies

My advise to you first time mums is DO NOT READ until you have had your LO . Saying that, I am on DC3 and it is amazing how much you forget - things like how much BF hurts in the first few days, to how the lack of sleep really, really dos turn you into a zombie!!!!!!!!!!

Am very excited that we are having 2 more babies today - can't wait to hear the news - who are the text buddies???

Mummynic our Dr has the same system, I cunningly put it onto ring back and get in very quickly that way!!!!!

Right, of to attempt to try and start a thread for us November babies who have had our Lo's!

Love to everyone else, hope you are all feeling good today...

DM x

Rosa · 03/11/2008 09:26

Misdee - just under 2 weeks for me as well and I know whow you feel - Hang in there I hope it gets better for you and you manage to get comfortable soon - I am an advert for Maalox ( no Gaviscon in Italy !)
Good luck for all those who are due today , having contractions, or none and want some and for those having cs.
DD is under instructions to stay put until dh throat infction clears or he will not be allowed in delivery room !!!

sparkletoes · 03/11/2008 09:43

Oh Misdee that sounds awful for u. I also couldn't sleep last night due to horrendous pains in hips. Now haven't had proper sleep in over a week and really suffering!

I even took some co-codamol last night and even that didn't help me sleep???!! DS not helping with his lack of an afternoon nap and extra-early rising. God this was sooo much easier last time.

But anyway, welcome back Merry and Dozy! Glad feeding going well, keep these stories coming I LIKE to hear that! I also used one bottle at night with DS, Dozy and later on it was either expressed or formula but it gave DH chance to feed him and me chance to rest so was invaluable!

Good luck vibes to Autumn and LadyBuzz sooo exciting!

Also hope it all starts off for you Cricri very soon and that also goes for all the others who are now overdue and/or fed up!!

Nice to hear from you too Missy, Pamela Anderson boobs are not all they cracked up to be are they?! But seriously hope things go well and you can both get home soon.

Hugs to everyone, god knows I need one too right now! (but I do have my hospital bag contents sorted out AND a sparkling porch haha! Good ole nesting!)

ChocOrange05 · 03/11/2008 09:47

Morning all!

Is anyone else overdue and spends all night dreaming / daydreaming / wishing / hoping "this is it". Its driving me CRAZY!!!!!

I think I am not so worried about waiting for baby to come out but I really really don't want to be induced as that would mean no HB for me which I have really set my heart on now - I hate hospitals and I also hate the fact that they would send DH home from 9-9 which I think is so unfair.

DM having a baby is the best thing ever right - so rewarding and labour is a breeze?!? Please......

misdee selfish moments allowed, just keep breathing and ticking off those days - it can only cook for so long, or thats what I keep telling myself!

Monkey very of your show - I read your post before I went to bed and I think I must have been feeling envious as I had a dream that you and Merry were having a middle of the night conversation on here and you said that your DH had gone to blow up your birthing pool (subconsciously forgetting you don't have one!) as things were kicking off! I assume they haven't??

Hello to everyone else - to those who are still an ante-nataler and to mummies!!

Heartmum2Jamie · 03/11/2008 09:50

Good luck today Ladybuzz & Autumnlady!! Cricri, I am sorry that things haven't got moving for you. I hope your midwife/doula has some good advice for you.

Not a single niggle for me since I went to bed last night. I did sleep well, but was tired from being up most of the night before so could have slept anywhere I think. Damn 3rd babies and false or pre-labour. I know I was told to expect it, but it doesn't make it any less disappointing.

Oh well, I have a midwife appt this afternoon (3.10pm) and a sweep was pencilled in, which I am now pretty happy to accept being at 40+5. I just hope that I am somewhat favourable after all the stopping and starting.

Right, best get ready for a dentist appt that I booked waaaaay back in May, lol! At least it is a beautiful day here, blue sky and sunny (if cold), it has lifted my mood immensly just to see the sun.

Have a great day everyone!
