BIRTH NEWS FROM SAURUS

"Finlay Benjamin Richard born 1.33am this morning 8lb 4oz, gorgeous boy, so happy! water, gas&air episiotomy, ventouse, OWW but so worth it! Love to all! "

vbab78 · 09/11/2008 09:42

chocorange - Cool! This must be it for .

rutho - surprised not heard anything. I even left my mobile on overnight so it would wake me up if got a text.

ChocOrange05 · 09/11/2008 09:42

Brilliant news from Saurus - she really deserved that baby!!! Love the name. Well done Saurus!!!!!

mum2becks · 09/11/2008 09:45

So pleased for saurus she so deserves it after being in labour on and off for so long! She sounds quite upbeat as is thinking of getting onto 'patientline' just so she can chat to us!!!!

Hope everyone else is ok this morning?

LazyLinePainterJane · 09/11/2008 09:49

Oh god, chocorange, I really feel for you! Am hoping that is not me, like last time!

mum2becks · 09/11/2008 09:50

ChocO sorry missed your post, your waters have gone how exciting!!!!!

I think you are supposed to let them know and I dont think you are supposed to have a bath for risk of infection, but someone who knows a bit more should be along to help!!

Keep us posted xx

vbab78 · 09/11/2008 09:53

rutho - fantastic news!!!!! Sounds like her birth story in the end was just like mine with DS. With the exception that I had an epidural after a lot of hours as couldnt get the hang of g&a as I would breathe it in too late, DUH!

gorg name!

MonkeyMargot · 09/11/2008 10:03

Congrats to Rutho!! Fabulous news - and another baby Finlay in our clan! Hoorah!!! Bet she's glad she won't be hacing any more contractions now (til the next one!! ).
ChocO - oooh - good luck to you!!! How exciting it's all started!! Call MW - and keep us all posted!! Hope you have your HB!!xx
LLPJ I am now 4 days over so at least you know there are others overdue too. It is rather tedious, especially when I get the daily phonecalls from friends and family for "any news"? In fact yesterday, DH started making squawling baby noises in background whilst I informed my mum that yes, the baby had arrived, I'd just forgotten to tell her.....
Dozy - I really hope your vibes are right - I really wanted it to happen this weekend!!

CMW has been. babydeee is full engaged, no floating about lol. am not even starting to dilate yet, so not in established labour at present, but things could progress quickly when they do based on preivious labours.

After speaking to a family friend who is a MW I sat with a pad in for an hour and its not soaked but definitely wet.

So I have had a bath (she said I could), washed, dried and straightened my hair, got dressed and tidied the house so now I feel ready and shall give the MW a call!

sparkletoes · 09/11/2008 10:27

Oh good luck, ChocO!!

Also missdee sounds as if you are well on the way............

mumtobecks didn't realise you were so far overdue, bet you are really fed up now......fingers crossed it happens for you as well......

We are off for a country walk today and a pub lunch,.....apart from the problems I am having with breastfeeding, everything elkse is going swimmingly which considering I have 3 under 5, I am quite happy with! DH is back at work tomorrow though so could all go tits up...although my mum is coming for a weekl and then DH is off week after so should be ok.........

NOTE TO ALL THOSE NOT YET HAD BABIES Keep a copy of the paper for the day you givge biorth - I forgot to do this but is a lovely reminder of the headlines on the day your baby was/will be born!

sparkletoes · 09/11/2008 11:43

Yorky · 09/11/2008 12:11

Congratulations Saurus, welcome baby Finlay loking forward to seeing pics soon.

Why does remembrance have to be in November - its freezing to stand around memorials! Especially when baby sends shooting pains down my hip!

Dozy - beware of headline souvenirs, a friend bought us papers from our wedding day, which was a lovely thought apart from the fact it was the day after the boxing day tsunami so all the headlines were 'Disaster!'

LackaDAISYcal · 09/11/2008 12:12

YAY RUTHO

Big Big CONGRATULATIONS

LOVE LOVE LOVE the name

Can't wait to hear (the long awaited) end of your birth story and meet the wee man (and you of course!!)

I hope this is is for you as well misdee; sounds promising.

And ChocoO too; it's all go on here today!

cricri · 09/11/2008 12:16

All these babies arriving or about to arrive - how exciting
First of all congratulations to HM2J on the arrival of baby Zack.
And also congratulations to Rutho on the arrival of Finlay - about time too Epis & ventouse - I had exactly the same but was past caring at that point. Main thing is you're both safe and well.
Choc Good luck with your HB, really hope one of us manages to have our LO at home. Will be looking out for news all day.
Dozy I had the best of intentions as far as posting developments during my HB went but things went so quickly that I never got a chance!
Misdee Hope this is it for you this time and that you also get your HB.
