Hi guys

Just a quick update. Well not much further on really. They could see something, but it was very small and she said too small to see a heartbeat yet (though she only did an external scan). The sonographer said she would have suggested coming back in 14 days, not 10 (felt like pointing out to her that I didn't suggest 10!). Everything is still there and the yolk sac has increased in size. So they took another blood test, and i have to go back for another one on Monday morning and they'll call me with the results on Monday afternoon. They've booked me in for another scan on 25th.

The waiting continues... I'll let you know how I get on on Monday

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 14/11/2008 17:37

ahem, yes nat- you forgot to wish me a good nap!!

If you've been sick blood Diege i'd say get on the meds.... When i was sick blood it only got worse... and ended up in hospital both times as was being sick so much blood, so often... they wouldn't give it you if it was going to cause any harm!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 14/11/2008 17:38

Well I'm not ringing them yet, going to have some dinner first and see if anything after that.

I forgot to say, while I was there last night, the MW asked if I wanted a drink or anything, so I asked for some water, she said she'd go and get it, and grab the doctor on her way back, half an hour later she walked back in apologising (though why I don't know) saying she'd had a baby born in the pool I was so bloody !!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 14/11/2008 17:38

yeah Diege- serious puker here- when i was sick it was because i'd been sick so much it bursts the blood vessles in your stomach, and it wont heal unless your stomach gets a break from being sick!!

lardybump · 14/11/2008 17:40

Just popping on to say hello.... I only have one more day of mumsnet... I am so scared..... he he .... going to bath dd then I will be back to catch up...

tinkisexcitedabouthavingababy · 14/11/2008 17:40

all sounds good hbj good luck mon
diege - i would go on meds to diege if blood in sick

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 14/11/2008 17:41

Sorry x posts, Heebs, can imagine you're feeling quite dissapointed now? Try not to be, the sac growing is very good, and if they only did an external scan that could easily account for not seeing much more, they really shoul dhave done an internal one if they weren't seeing enough. I will keep my fingers crossed all weekend that the bloods come back fine again. So much uncertainty but take hold of the good positive bits and don't let go.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 14/11/2008 17:43

Oh and have a good nap Glask, bit late but I couldn't be bothered saying it before

Evening LB Hiya Tink

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 14/11/2008 17:43

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 14/11/2008 17:44

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 14/11/2008 17:45

Humph, last time I wish you a belated good nap!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 14/11/2008 17:49

haha!! was only joking nat didn't mean to offend, was trying to make it sound like i was too busy sleeping to have noticed really i'm gonna stop digging my hole now!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 14/11/2008 17:50

haha- DC's are on the couch, DS has got hold of the cat like a little baby, and i just heard him say to DD 'i've been prednant and i've just had my baby, isn't he lovely' DD say's 'bob's your baby????' was very funny that she wondered what on earth he was going on about!!

Heebeejeebee · 14/11/2008 17:53

Thanks all! NJ - I felt so despondent i cried all the way home, but when I put it in an email to a friend realised that there its still too early to give up hope yet (DH keeps telling me this too!).

NJ - Just caught up on your last post - I can see why you don't want another trip to the hospital, but I agree the risk not calling is too great for me!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 14/11/2008 17:55

Oh HBJB- its only natural to worry when nothing concrete has been found.... but all the signs are very good, i'm sure they would have urged on the side of caution if they didn't think the same too!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 14/11/2008 18:08

Awww Glask, kids sound so sweet

Heebs, you are right it is too early to give up, besides there are good signs, nothing to give up on IMO!

Right DH is home, going to have dinner, see what follows and take it from there, if nothing I will buckle and ring, I know I will.

Not sure what's going to be happening tomorrow, but will probably be on in the morning at least.

Have a good weekend to anyone I miss xxx

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 14/11/2008 18:18

ok Nat, feel free to text me later!! I do worry about you! I woke up this morning and the first thing i said to DH was ' i wonder how Nat got on last night'...

lardybump · 14/11/2008 18:45

Good luck nat I hope he keeps you up all night kicking....

Well I finish work tomorrow and am feeling a bit down....

I will not be on the net either as they will cut me off so will not be mumsneting as much until I can get it sorted out.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 14/11/2008 20:30

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 15/11/2008 08:49

Morning!

Hi tink. Good for extra money!

NJ - hope all ok.

Heebee - must be v frustrating. I'd have thought they'd have done an internal scan if they were worried. Fingers crossed for good news Monday.

I had good day with boss. She seems quite happy with what I'm doing. I'm hoping I'd be able to go back p/t and do the same job after mat leave.

Got home about 6.30pm. Changed into PJs at 7pm and sat watching Children in Need. Was asleep about 7.45pm and only woke up at 8.15 this morning! Think I was tired again!

Off to see Fulham v Spurs today. Not sure what to wear as we're going with people DH knows from work so don't want to be scruffy but want to be warm. Jeans not comfy anymore so will probably end up in smart black trousers with hair elastic round the button or jogging bottoms...

Hope everyone else is ok.

Diege · 15/11/2008 10:09

Morning . Won't get much of a chance to get on this weekend as dd2'sw birthday today, and playbarn party tomorrow, so wanted to say hello.
Feeling marginally better this morning - could my peak have been and gone? I dare not even think it for a second! Enjoying the lull (and some toast!) while I can .
NAT, will try and pop in to see your update - hoping you are havcing a good rest in bed at home, rather than hospital xx
SES, I'd go with the jogging bottoms, but then I am a slob Sounds good about work plans - what would 'part time' hours be like in your job?
HEEBS, as others have said can imagine how frustrating it all is, but as SES says if they were worried they would have done an internal scan. Things are growing (and yolk sacks don't grow for no good reason)and I'm sure MOnday will bring reassuring news
Hi LARDY! So sorry about work - must be the oddest feeling . Take care, pop in when you can (maybe public library?) and keep us updated with your news. I will miss you xx
Hi GYO, TINK, GLASK, KAY, 2BG, WILSON, SORKY, and anyone else I've missed

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 15/11/2008 10:26

SES- i'd go for jogging bottoms and footy shirt... after all you are going to watch the footy!! (and in my case i'd have to borrow one of DH's footy shirts as i dont own one!!)

Diege- so did you take the meds? or did you just stop being sick? Hope you have a good weekend with your DD's bday.... sounds busy but fun!!

Just realised Nat hasn't been online since last night, will text and see how she is.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 15/11/2008 10:29

Morning

Happy birthday to Diege's DD2 Hope she has a lovely day/weekend (and hope you are able to enjoy it as well with a very hopeful lull in sickness)

LB, same as Diege really, you must make sure you can MN at least once in a while, you'll be missed.

Ses, all sound's good on the work front Agree joggers all the way

Heebs, hope you're feeling a bit less worried this morning? Sometimes thinking about it makes it less worrying, other times it just seems to make things worse. Either way, Monday is a mere few hours away, and I am almost certain it'll be good news

So, I was back in again last night everything was OK, two sets of bloods have come back clear, waiting on one more set, I tested at home before I went for protein and got a protein +, they tested after a bottle of water to make me wee and got NAD, so that wasn't good because they can't take my results in to account, swelling is in a whole new league (didn't think it could get much worse), but BP is good so not worried about PE. They have changed todays trace to Monday, they said they would deffo have the results from all the bloods and urine so they'll have something hopefully to go off.

I asked in the meantime if I could start the kick chart at lunch time instead of when I wake up, and they said yes, so hopefully I won't have to go in tonight or tomorrow - fingers crossed.

And after my moans, I have some good news, well exciting news, Boori finally rang yesterday, it is being delivered not this Monday but next Still not the bookcase but that's OK for now!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 15/11/2008 10:29

ooh- also we were rudley awaken by the house phone, but didn't get there in time... just as i went to see who'd called DH's mobile rang, it was ATD, his shop's alarm company... something was wrong with the shop alarm, and DH had to go straight there!! He would normally set off at 7.30am for work, and they'd phoned at 4.45am...As its a 30-45min drive DH decided not to come back home... so he's been at work since 5.30am... poor bloke!! Luckily i woke up too as i think he'd have fallen back to sleep!!
