Hey all- had a lot to catch up on as not been on since thursday afternoon!!

Yesterday DH was off so we went to toys r us and got the last bits for the kids for xmas... and i got a maternity dress in Dorothy Perkins, label said it was on sale to £10, got it to the till and it was only £5!!! What a bargain!!! Also went to Mamas & Papas shop to see the bouncy chair in person and i love it, just waiting to know wether to buy in blue or pink now!!

Then yesterday evening went to my parents for tea, nothing too exiting but was nice to see them.

This morning the plumber came to fix the pump so we could have our central heating working again!!! Its almost orgasmic having a warm house!! I haven't had working radiators since April when i turned it off!!!

Gruff- as for who will go into labour 1st i expect to go in about 38wks as i've never gone to 40wks, with DS i was 39wks, with DD 38wks. Also you feeling movements!! I keep thinking i'm feeling bubbling (have on and off since about 12wks) but not 100% certain so still say i'm not... hopefully it'll just be because beany is chilled!!

Diege- Glad scan went well!! Can imagine thats made you fel tons better, even if the sickness is still there!!

GYo- For the comment about us who are caring for our other DC's and being pregnant- you just learn to cope... there's nothing else you can do!! For me it's been a bit of a tough ride for the whole family with being in hospital twice, but we've managed reasonably ok- my kids missed me, but make the most of me now i'm better again!!

Tink- DS was 8lb 8oz and DD was 7lb, so if its a girl i'm expecting a little over 7lb maybe, if a boy i'm hoping less than 8lb, but who knows!!

Oh.... i've still not been sick since last saturday!!!!!!! isn't that an accomplishment for me!!!

GYo · 07/11/2008 13:59

Glask hurray for nearly a week without being sick!!!

Hurray for the warm house. PMSL at it being orgasmic.... but I know what you mean. I once had no heating or hot water for 1 month in November. I practically seduced the British Gas man when it was fixed!

LaTourEiffel · 07/11/2008 14:07

Hiya all, been away for about a week so sorry if I've missed anything. I was notified today that I have still got my job, but one of my colleagues is being made redundant, which I'm very, very sad about, he's a lovely chap that genuinely works really hard, its just so unfair .

My boss has let the other three of us go home early after what has to be the shittiest week ever so that we can make the most of our weekends which is kind given the circumstances.

My home is a complete bomb site - a dirty bomb site at that, I'm done a bit of tidying and have managed to get my cleaner to come at 3 this afternoon to help sort it all out - she hasn't been for a few weeks due to holiday and work etc. Am very grateful because the thought of cleaning and tidying isn't that thrilling after the week I've had. It would be nice to get it sorted this afternoon though so that I can make the most of time with DH and DS this weekend. On that note...I'd better go and find some of this carpet stuff that is apparently lurking beneath the piles of...well, dog fur mostly

Hope you're all well, x

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 07/11/2008 14:17

well its been really cold, we've only had one electric portable heater, and only had that for 2 weeks, so its been freezing... we had to have it in the living room, then carry it up to the kids room at bedtime for them to have overnight, and me and DH had our electric blanket on.

Since end of sept we've all been in t-shirts and jumpers at all times,(and vests for the kids) and today i'm just wearing a t-shirt and i'm boiling for once!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 07/11/2008 14:31

good to 'see' you LaTour!!

I've only just found my dining table this morning!! so know how you feel on the mess!! Luckily my nesting is starting already, our bedrooms are all spotless- was tidying at 9am this morning!! ever since we bought the hosue the dining table has been my halfway house for our washing when i comes out of the dryer... very rarely would i take it all upstairs (actually i think the last time was last xmas so we could eat xmas day lunch at the table!!), and the last few days i've blitzed everywhere and finally cleared all the clothes upstairs!!

We will be eating tea at the dining table tonight!!

LaTourEiffel · 07/11/2008 14:35

hurrah for dining tables! I'm just 'discovering' mine now....!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 07/11/2008 14:45

ace!! well i'm off for a nap- very tired after being up hoovering and tidying from 8am today- damn blast these flippin nesting urge's!!

will probs be about later as DH is on a late shift!!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 07/11/2008 14:48

ACE????? where did that come from?? sounds so 80's- DH says it and i think its catching!!!! argh!!!

2beautifulgalsandabean · 07/11/2008 16:24

hello everyone

We saw our very active little bean this morning, still amazing even after the 1st 2. I was staring at the screen not believing the little baby was inside me. They have moved my date to 19/05 so a few less days than LMP dates.
Still being sick but very happy Will go back and catch up now.

GYo · 07/11/2008 16:29

Hurray for the good scan 2BG.

Lol at the ACE Glask

Hi LaTour- definately sounds like a shitty week. Glad you got to go home early.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 07/11/2008 17:31

2BGAAB- glad scan went well- isn't it amazing just how good it is seeing your scans, even after having 2 DC's i was still in tears at my scan, just knowing everythign was ok, and my beany was growing etc!!

Tink- DD had the lamaze fish bowl- i loved it, wish i'd kept it as i think i'll be re-buying one now!! My bedroom is full to the brim with the DC's xmas toys now, its on top of my wardrobe, on top of DH's wardrobe, inside his wardrobe, inside the emersion cupboard, and under the bed!!! its awful!! have no-where else to hide stuff!!

oh also, I was a good 14-16 before i fell pg this time... the maternity dress is a size 12 and fits me, with room for bump to grow!! [shock!!]

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 07/11/2008 18:30

Luckily we kept some of our lamaze toys and i can roccomend emily doll and octotunes

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 07/11/2008 18:31

Night all!!

tinkisexcitedabouthavingababy · 07/11/2008 18:58

all of dds smaller presents fit in our bedroon cupboard, my mum is storing her main present as not enough room here
thought that fish bowl looked good
hope tablets work

kayzisexpecting · 07/11/2008 20:38

Evening,

2BG, I'm glad your scan went well and bean is active.

I hope you are all ok. I have been feeling terrible all afternoon and have been sick 5 times. Hoping its something I've eaten and not a bug that I can pass on to DS.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 08/11/2008 08:40

Morning

2BG, huge congrats on the scan Do we get to see a pic?

GYo, hope you have been reassured about the stitch like pain?

Gruff, I know I'm too late but have a good weekend away

Kay, good news about the physio appt. Hope you're feeling better this morning?

LaTour, sorry for shitty week, and about your colleague, when you've been used to working as a team, it is a big hit when one is cut off.

Tink, good shopping, as usual!

I haven't ordered the Noah's Ark thingy yet, I keep swinging from thinking it is (mainly) a gift, and it will be a lovely keepsake, but then thinking 'but £50 for a boat and some animals???' Trying to find a cheaper one but they are all bright colours and more of a toy than a thing to look after for however many years etc.

The boys had their party last night, came home and almost as soon as I got in the door I felt so sick, had mahoosive headache, and palpatations, didn't know whether to ring the MW or not (both sickness and headaches are signs of PE, not sure about the palpatations) but I am so sick of being made to feel like I'm wasting their time, I thought I'll give it a couple of hours and see how we go, all was well obviously, but it has made me really sit up and realise what sort of situation I am in at the moment.

I can't win, if I go and see them they bat me away, if I don't go, I am actually putting the baby's (and my) life at risk, but I just don't see that there is anything I can do. I am re-considering getting a BP monitor, they can't always give dodgy results, and if it is just a case of them not wanting us to have the same sort of equipment then it is easy for them to put me off with tales of false readings. At least if I got one it should give me some sort of idea, and over time I'd get the gist if it was on the rise or fall surely? But then I think if they are right, and the home machines do always give dodgy results, then I'll be no better off with one.

Fucking shitting bolloxing wankerish balls. I can't wait to get to 36 weeks, I will see the cons and hopefully get a date for it to be over. I am so sick of going round in circles, never knowing what to do for the best, and I am sick of the contractions, and I am sick of not sleeping, and I am sick of.... most things actually!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 08/11/2008 08:41

So sorry, ignore last post, couldn't stop once I'd started but you lot don't need to hear it all.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 08/11/2008 08:59

Morning!

NJ - don't worry. It must be really frustrating feeling like you can't win. I guess at the end of the day, you need to put you and the baby first and who cares if they think you are wasting their time. They are obliged to see you. We all know you're not a time waster and just need - like any good mum - to know your baby is ok!

I feel for you!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 08/11/2008 09:05

2BG - yay for scan!

Diege - how did it go telling your mum? Hope dd had a good birthday!

Doppler arrived yesterday!

Took me about 20mins to find hb and then about 10 mins the 2nd time I tried. Was getting DH to listen this morning and warned him it might take me a while to find it but found it immediately.
So not worried on that count but am worried as I only counted 65bpm. Surely that's not good or can't be right??!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 08/11/2008 09:08

Maybe I'm picking up my own hb via a pumping blood vessel or something??!

Sorry, feeling v silly!

tinkisexcitedabouthavingababy · 08/11/2008 09:10

morning

hope you are feeling better this morning nat
it must be horrible for you having all these things wrong lets hope that time goes past quickly for you
ses- ye for doppler you didnt get your hb did you babys should be dddddd constant drumming really fast

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 08/11/2008 09:11

65bpm, that'll be your HB, there is a large blood vessel in your belly.

The babies HB will be somewhere between 120 and 160 (maybe more) at your stage it is likely to be at the faster end of that but it isn't a 'bad' sign if it isn't.

Find your pubic bone and start there, go right across from far left to far right, and then bring it up a couple of cm and go right to left.

Remember also that it may just not be possible to pick it up at the moment. That isn't a bad thing. Fully trained MW's can struggle past 16 weeks to pick it up.

You may be able pick up a big swooshing noise, that is the placenta doing it's job, if it is swishing everything is fine!

(Thanks for your kind words, am not ignoring them, just don't want to rant again!)
