ARGH!!!!!!!!

Just looked at my Facebook and I have a 'My Pregnancy' thing on there and I have 36 days to go!!!!

Sounds a lot sooner than 5 weeks when you say 36 days.

lardybump · 06/11/2008 18:04

I am ok thanks GYO. Finish work next week so feeling a bit sad about that..... I am viable now yippee I am 24 weeks!!!

I had a good chat with midwife today as I am losing sleep worrying about the birth. I had such a traumatic time with dd because she was quiet big, and I am huge now so believe I will have an even bigger one. I am measuring 1cm bigger than I should and she said if I am too big on due date she will induce me... so that is a weight off my mind, as I really dont want to go overdue!!

DD was 8lb 4 and a week early....

GYo · 06/11/2008 18:15

Good news about having the back up of being induced. Guess you will be doing all the usual labour inducing things on the run up to the due date .

Hurray for being at 24wks and viable

Hope last day at work goes ok next week

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 07/11/2008 07:54

Morning all

LB - good to have you back! 24 weeks!!! Where is this time going??!

Kay - 36 35 days doesn't sound long! Just think you'll have a lovely baby boy soon

Just a quickie before I go off to work. I have to go and do a second round of interviews in one of my stores today around a grievance that one of the staff has taken out against the store manager. Won't be easy but needs to get sorted as the atmosphere in there is awful.

Then tonight, we've got some friends coming over for take away curry!

I'll probably be lurking in between interviews via my phone.

wilsonmummy · 07/11/2008 08:20

Morning everyone

Just took ages to catch up, been a bit busy with painting the house, hoping to be in within the next 2 weeks

Deige.. glad scan went well at least it's put your mind at rest, and sorry seeds didn't work!

Cosmo.. lovely name they go really well together.

Tink..mine were 7lb 12oz thirteen days late and 7lb 1 oz ten days early so no idea what this one will be.

Nat.. hows the sweling going, hope its gone down!?

2bgs.. yay for scan, can't wait till i get my first scan app thru, the pregnancy starts to feel really real then!

Not had any proper symptoms as yet but have started to cough in the morning which is making me gag.

Think girls have got a chest infection so need to get them booked into the dr's

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/11/2008 08:22

Morning

Just realised reading through that when I said "2BG 8 and a half hours to go?" yesterday it was actually 20 and half hours to go, I'd forgotten to add the 12 hours on! But it doesn't matter because it is now only an hour and a quarter Good luck 2BG Can't wait for the news And I hope the sickness has settled back down today?

Good luck sorting everything out today Ses - I don't envy you!

LB!!! Welcome back sweetie Hope these last few days at work go well.

Not exactly sure how we've done it but we are all ready for school we don't have to leave for another half hour or so....

Might get a start on the house work, will give me extra time while he's at school to laze about -MN-ing-- do stuff

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/11/2008 08:25

Sorry x posts Wilson. Hope the girls are feeling better soon, chest infections don't sound like fun

The swelling is just the same, it is better in the mornings, then gets worse throughout the day till come the evening I can't physically move my toes.

tinkisexcitedabouthavingababy · 07/11/2008 08:36

wilsonmummy · 07/11/2008 09:02

I hate dr's receptionist, i'm sure they think that they are actually dr's, well this one does anyway!! They only had an emergency app available for this afternoon and she had the cheek to ask me if i realy thought it was an emergency!! Well i'm sorry but they've been coughing all day yesterday was up all night and it now sounds like a bark and it sounds like is chesty to me!!! I told her if she doesn't give me an app today i'll go to primecare tonight!!so put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!

Sorry rant over!! Anyway i got the appointment!!

Nat..oh doesn't sound to good whats midwife/dr's said?

OP posts:
NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/11/2008 09:07

Wilson, our doctors receptionist's are like that as well. Don't know how many times she has asked what the appointment is for (usually only something to do with the kids) and I've told her it's none of her business, which it really isn't.

I saw the GP about the swelling on Wednesday, he took my BP, told me to go back and see him if it went over 140, I had a big rant about on here yesterday, how he thinks I am supposed to know if it goes over 140 I don't know. I have ordered some wee sticks that test for protein, so I think once they arrive, I will feel a little less left on my own. He also told me to get the MW to repeat the PET bloods next time I see her, which is Tuesday after after next, which could be far too late, so all in all a very unhelpful knob appt.!

Diege · 07/11/2008 09:11

Morning! Good luck for scan 2bg!!!
Wilson, sorry about dds - make sure you look after yourself too
NAT - wow super organised. How have you got so much energy to even contemplate housework? Had vision of you last night in your michelin suit with taps at ankles for drainage
LARDY - glad your mind is a little rested with option of possible induction. It's your birth and you must push for what feels right.
Hi SES - good luck with your busy day; sounds hectic!
Morning tinks
Well dd3's birthday today (3 today!), so probably won't be on much. Mum arriving 9.30 so will have to spill the news .
Happy Fridays to all!x

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/11/2008 09:24

Awwww Diege, Happy birthday DD3 Hope she has a lovely day

I'm not sure what's going on with my energy at the moment, don't feel like I have enough steam to anything except house work. I haven't even washed my hair this morning because I couldn't be bothered to stand in the shower any longer than I had to Then half an hour later I had all the coats and jackets off the hooks sorting them out into piles, one for the charity shop, and one for which ones were going back on the hooks And then I even put them back on the hooks in the order in which they are likely to be used

kayzisexpecting · 07/11/2008 09:26

Morning,

2BG, hope you enjoy your scan!!!

Happy birthday to DD3 Diege!!

Ses, What happened to your football team last night??? Bloody amazing!!!

Wilson, Sorry about being ill, our receptionists are like that too. They always ask what it is for and I never tell them, even if its just an earache.

Nat, You make me feel bad. I've only just got dressed and DS is still in his PJs.

Morning to everyone else.

I really feel awful this morning. We've had the usual DH wont get out of bed so I have to get up and do it all. DS is being really naughty and as soon as DH gets his fat arse out of bed, DS is a little angel.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/11/2008 09:31

That's OK Kay, as soon as DH is out of bed, you go and get in it.

Hey, just realised, it's Friday, (I know it's been said twice just on here this morning but...) that means it's Saturday tomorrow, which means, we can go and get the buggy and everything else

Anyone else got plans for the weekend?

kayzisexpecting · 07/11/2008 09:34

I can't though. Once I'm up and about I can't get back to sleep.

My plans are to probably bury DH under the patio. Mum is having DS tomorrow so we can get on as MIL says we have to have front room decorated before they put the carpet in. Don't see her offering to help though.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/11/2008 09:40

TBH, as much as I hate to agree with your MIL, to have it painted before the carpet goes in is a good idea.

And even if you don't go to sleep, just laying down and relaxing will do you good (and get DH back!! )

kayzisexpecting · 07/11/2008 09:43

I know it is, but all she does is ring and moan. DH suggested she helped and she said she can't as her neck hurts.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/11/2008 09:49

Well at least your mum having DS will give you a good chance of getting on with it. IME the sooner it is done, especially in a main room like the living room, the better, even more so with a toddler around!

GYo · 07/11/2008 10:14

Morning all

Good luck with scan 2BG
Happy bday for Diege DD3! have a lovely day and good luck telling your mum! - doesnt matter how old we are its still weird tellig parents!

Hurray for Friday Nat- we were thinking of going to a fireworks display tonight if we are feeling up to it.
Did you find a display in your area for DS1?

Just been on phone to boss... all I hear is blah blah blah when he talks.... maybe thats the issue! But we are having carpet put on stairs today so very excited. No more DIY till after xmas!

Morning everyone else

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 07/11/2008 10:27

Oh Diege, missed the bit about you telling your mum - hope it goes/went(??) well? I know she wasn't exactly hopping up and down last time, I hope she has shown a bit of sensitivity?

Morning GYo No more DIY sound's good Hope the carpet fitting goes smoothly And no, we've not found a display yet, though must admit I haven't really looked properly He hasn't mentioned going to see them, he is as excited as me about getting the buggy (...don't know where he gets his love of shopping streak from...? ) and they have a birthday party this afternoon so he has been too excited for that to think about fireworks I think. I will have a look through the local paper later to see if there are any planned though.

My sister has sent some money for the baby, it's not going to completely cover it but what do you all think of this? Not sure if it is a bit OTT for what it is, but it would look lovely in the room with the animals and colours and everything. And it would be a kind of keepsake thing.

GYo · 07/11/2008 11:15

Hello

What a kind gift from your sister. Thats a lovely keepsake , love the Noahs ark type stuff.

Enjoy your weekend away Gruff.

Love the week counter. Good to see where people are as Im always forgetting...

Thanks for nice words re boss- decided to just do what he wants and throw my own thoughts about how to work properly out of the window. Will get shirty if he makes things any harder re being preg.

Man being doing stair carpet for 2.5hrs and still only on underlay. Like a through job. When we got carpet done before they layers arrived (they were about 12yrs old) and laid two carpets in 30mins, including underlay.
No wonder they damaged our skirting boards!

kayzisexpecting · 07/11/2008 12:20

Hi,

Got a letter to say that my physio appointment is the 17th November so just over a week away. Hopefully they can sort out my back.

Just had a row about MIL. We bought a moses basket and she has this second hand one so she had a go at DH about it. Which means all I'll get Monday is shit about it and she'll have a go at me. DH is going to try to get the day off so he is here.

Gruff, have a good time up here in Yorkshire.

Nat, that is really nice. I'd get it if I was you.

Hi to everyone else.
