HOORAY Diege That is wonderful!!! Sure was good timing! You must be so relieved

GYo, I agree your boss sounds like an arse, a big fat spotty arse, that farts, a lot.

2BG, 8 and half hours to go? I'm not ringing anyone else about what;s going on with me though, unless something obvious happens, I am sick of being to told to watch out for X, Y and Z, and then when they happen being made to feel like I am just wasting their time. I have ordered some test stick things, (Ses you were nearly right, the ones you said about test for Ketones though, the ones I got are Albustix or something like that.) all I can do is go off them for the time being.

Kay, fingers crossed you get the physio appt. before the baby is born!

Heebeejeebee · 06/11/2008 14:11

Diege - that's fantastic news!!!!!

MUST now get on with some work!!

sorkycake · 06/11/2008 14:14

Diege that's wonderful news

So pleased for you x

2beautifulgalsandabean · 06/11/2008 14:21

Just had an hour nap with DD2 feel much better now

Kept checking before i went for diege. Glad everything went well and bean looking good. So was it the external scan or internal probe with a jimmy cap (sorry DH's name for em)

Just getting some lunch before i have to collect DD1. Nothing too exciting as fridge is bare, really should of been shopping today nap far more important

Diege · 06/11/2008 14:29

Thanks again! Scan has really perked me up, though sickness not listening!
2BG, it was abdominal scan. Could only manage half a pint or so of water, but for some reason this always seems to suffice for my scans. Must have peanut bladder
NAT, those sticks sound a sensible purchase - a sad state of affairs that it's left up to you though . If you are producing protein, they will have to take you seriously though, so more power to you.
Off to do school run now - first time in weeks! dh had to go back to work after scan so I am braving it with vomit bag and lots of tissues!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 06/11/2008 14:34

2BG, same here, I was supposed to go to town today but have spent it asleep while DS2 slept! We are going shopping tonight (oh the joys) so will just have to get the wrapping paper there. Always feel less tired after a day time nap, but seriously grumpy, I hate the waking/getting up palava...

Diege, hello oh pregnant one Good luck for the school run, take it the kiwi seeds aren't doing their job?

Playingthe9monthwait · 06/11/2008 14:55

Deige I am so happy for you!!!

Nat - I can't believe your GP. I went a few weeks ago because of headaches and mine was brilliant tested blood pressure, urine, got the doppler out, everything. Took time with me and made me feel important, even though of course he couldn't do anything, not that I expected him too. To have that attitude is unbelievable, pe can be life threatening if untreated fgs!!!

Kay - hope your referal doesn't take too long

Cosmo - Hi, long time no speak.

GYo - your boss does sound like a prat, you have my sympathises. I am finding work hard going at the moment and that is with a pretty understanding boss!

Hi everyone else.

GYo · 06/11/2008 15:44

Hello

PMSL at all your comments about my boss. has really cheered me up. My friend has offered to staple him to chair at bollocks with rusty staples- also pleasing

Hi Playing good to see you here.

Work is hard when pregnant isnt it? What part of it do you find hard ?

I thought I could be super woman and not feel/ act any different. what a fool i was!

So far i've discovered hormones really do make you react to things differently (Im so intolerant!), my brain is often like sieve (thought this was a myth about pregnancy) and I just cant manage multitasking in the way that i could. Also healthwise my immunity is on the floor- while I've not been off for any direct pregnancy related illness I've been ill with many other things that are probably indirectly related to pregnancy wearing me down...

Sorry wasnt whinging (directly!) just making the point that pregnancy is hard going!
GOD ONLY KNOWS how you ladies do it and look after other kids! Hats off!

GYo · 06/11/2008 15:46

Ooh Nat. lovely re having a daytime sleep.
Think it should be mandatory in third trimester!

Diege · 06/11/2008 16:12

at the rusty staples comments GYO - I like it! He is actually bodering on breaking the law in whingeing about time off for pregnancy related illness/appointments. Also make sure your sick days relating to pregnancy are recorded as pregnancy related. They shouldn't be logged as sick days apparently as it might look bad on your record if you had to have weeks off say. I would say rusrt staples heated to white hot in a special oven.
NAT, I ripped the bleeding magnets out of my ears last night as they were really itchy and seemed to be heating up . probably picking up some East European radio station
Am actually eating crisps and drinking fizzy water at the moment and feelig better. I remember crisps and hot choc helping last time around so must be fat/salt combo.
Right, nearly time for Deal No Deal - my new addiction

GYo · 06/11/2008 16:21

Hi Diege
Thanks for advice about recording sickness as pregnancy related. Not sure how I do that... but its good point. I've been quite proud of not haivng any pregnancy related time off! but you are right!

Ready salted crisps and fruitpastilles really helped me out when i had bursts of nausea. So long as I didnt eat whole bag of pastilles... then the effect was negative

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 06/11/2008 16:37

Playing sounds like you have a very understanding GP! It annoys me even more that I am not one for going to the GP/MW/hospital every 5 minutes, I can't even remember the last time I saw the GP for myself until yesterday, so when I do go, I'd expect them to take me a little bit seriously, rather than people (am not mentioning names MIL and DH's niece) who seem to be at the GP every other day with some terrible death defying illness or a cold, they get the red carpet laid out for them. BP is no doubt soaring now!

Diege, ripping them out sounds painful You didn't have your head next to the radiator did you? DOND used to be so much better, the banker used to give really good offers.

Tink, am of your wispa's, I could really do with some chocolate! And DS1 was 7lb 15, DS2 was 8lb 10, I am actually expecting this one to be smaller than DS2, but we'll see!

Bloody Physio rang when I popped to the shop earlier and had an appointment for this afternoon. Now its going to be about 2 weeks!! URGH!!!

Playingthe9monthwait · 06/11/2008 16:50

Nat - yes my GP is very nice, completely useless at actually solving any problems but at least makes the right noises

GYo - Hello to you too! Whats hard about work? Hmmm, finding the motivation to get on with tasks (or even get up in the morning), multi-tasking definately - my brain is slowly dying, I also seem much slower at everything. I have gone from being organised, effecient, hard-working to a lazy arsed dimwit! Not good as Christmas is our busiest time of the year (hence not MNing that much).

Actually I can't even remember how pg I am now, which probably sums it all up!! Am I 22 or 23 weeks?

lardybump · 06/11/2008 17:04

Hello everyone I am back.........

Can some kind lady fill me in on any news from the last week please!!!

Hope you are all well. I am having a few pelvic pains but apart from that I am fine and dandy...

thought i was getting better now can't stop throwing up

Diege sorry that the seeds were no use.

Tink- i love wispas, but have gone off chocolate have had a wispa in my handbag for weeks now incase of a chocolate emergency.

Kayz- sorry you missed the physio, typical, perhaps they will ring again with a short notice appointment. I saw physio last pregnancy due to painful hips, did some swimming classes. I am expecting to have to see physio this pregnancy due to having a dodgy leg/knee after car crash last year and still not having full hip movement would should make labour fun!

My babies were DD1 7lb and DD2 9lb 1.5oz, i'm hoping that the next one will not be even bigger. DD2 was a total shock as the midwifes were saying i would be having another 7lb baby.

i'm 12 weeks today and i have my scan in 16 hours

GYo · 06/11/2008 17:26

Hi LB- wondered where you were as I've not seen you here for a bit.

Not sure Im the best person for a round up really no new BFPs, Diege had good scan result today and I had to postpoone my 21wks scan as I was too sick to go.

Hows things with you? have you stopped working yet?

2BB- sorry to hear about vomiting. But I love the hour by hour scan count down
