argh- made that last post then saw somethign move out of the corner of my eye- on the wall above the PC screen was the hairiest ugliest spider i've seen in a long time!!!

I nearly wet myself!!.... though we'll kepp that a secret, and if anyone can see the wet patch on my chair i'll blame it on a weak bladder!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/11/2008 17:36

Tink, I am brave, but not brave, I'm not actually going to do the sample in his office, they do have a private loo to use! LOL OMG I can't even wee in front of DH/the kids, never in a million would I be able to in front of a doc! LOL

Awwww Glask, DS helping mum Me and spiders DO NOT get on, though we do have an understanding, if they stay out of my way, I won't get DH to kill them.

Dinners ready!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 05/11/2008 17:44

yeah well for me, its if they are in a discreet corner and dont move i'll leave them, as soon as they move i'll suck them up with the hoover!!

There's a little ugly looking spider that lives in the gap in the skirting behind the living room door, it's not moved yet so it's safe!! I'm waiting for it to move though so it can be gone!!

Hi! RANT ALERT!!!

Tried ordering my doppler last night from babymad and pesky paypal wouldn't accept my details.
Babymad had a record of my order so emailed me today to complete the payment via nochex instead of paypal. That wouldn't work either so I emailed babymad to see if I could just pay them over the phone instead. They phoned me within half an hour and tried to take my payment over the phone but then the bank wanted my security details so they couldn't do it. The guy at babymad got me on the nochex site but it said the bank had declined my payment.
I couldn't understand why as I've only just been paid! Phoned the bank and they said they'd blocked my account for 2 days due to suspicious activity!! I asked what suspicious activity and they said a payment via paypal as I don't normally use it!
I said a) it was only for £25.99 and b) if they're going to block my card, shouldn't they contact me? They said there was no need to contact me as the card is their property not mine!! I said that may be so but it provides me with access to my money!!!
She unblocked it and the payment has now gone through but I couldn't quite believe all the problems for £25.99 and that they didn't think they had to contact me to tell me they'd blocked my account!!!
I really understand the need for security checks but please in future can they contact me!!!??

Right, I've got that off my chest so will go and catch up on what you've all been up to today!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 05/11/2008 18:23

You've all been pretty busy!!

Heebee - so glad that the blood test results look like confirming the good news.

Glaskham - hope DS did a good job?! Was he any good at getting rid of spiders for you too?

NJ - hope appointment goes well this evening.

Diege - hoping tomorrow goes well for you. FWIW at my 8 week scan they didn't even try a tummy scan, just went straight for the internal.

GYo - glad you're feeling a bit better. Long may that continue. It must have been sooo disappointing yesterday.

Oh, I can't remember anything else now, sorry
DH is away tonight on a clay pigeon shooting do with work. It's never really appealed to me... But hey I get the bed to myself tonight!! (Should I be at that?)

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 05/11/2008 18:34

Glad you got your payment sorted ses- i emailed them today just to say how good i found their service!! I recieved the doppler 26.5hrs after i payed for it!!! amazing!!

DS did do the whole nappy, and her bum was cleaned well- he's a good 'un is DS!!

Hoovered the spider up, then emptied the cylinder straight away!!

I'm craving nacho's... I have been for a few days, and i bought a nacho kit so i just have to add the cheese... and i just saw it on top of the fridge- i want it now!!!!! BUT- i'm cooking chicken breasts with a cheese, leek and ham sauce and doing them with some carrot and potato mash!! it'd be greedy of me to eat nacho's all to myself and leaving DH to have beans on toast becasue i'm too full to cook!! haha!! Will wait and have the nacho's tomorrow!!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 05/11/2008 18:40

Aaah! I'd do exactly the same with the spider!

Nachos!! Hmmm! I've not got round to sorting myself out some tea yet and with DH away I actually get to choose myself! Will have to look at contents of the fridge...

I'm hoping that that means doppler will arrive Friday then. Did it need someone at home for it to be delivered do you know?

tinkisexcitedabouthavingababy · 05/11/2008 18:58

glas - bless with nappy change
damn those spiders my dh was watching t.v the other night and a massive one jumped on him we keep finding lots

ses poor you with paypal at least it is sorted now

GruffaloSoldier · 05/11/2008 19:23

Hi all

Have just caught up on two days of posts!Phewwwee! I have had some major things going on in RL so have been a bit busy last couple of days!

Wilson - good luck with food, you are right to wait til you can concentrate on it.

Glask - that is so great that we are now 1 day apart! So come April we can take bets on who will go in to labour first

I had my 16 week check yesterday and everything was fine. Heard baby's heartbeat which was fab! Also found out that I am rhesus negative which I was kind of expecting as my sister is. Still PITA with extra injections

Is anyone having fireworks tonight? I am snuggled up on sofa - might watch others from the window

GruffaloSoldier · 05/11/2008 19:23

Oh and forgot - Im feeling the baby move now

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 05/11/2008 19:29

Oh Gruff! That's fantastic to feel the baby move
Yay for 16 week check too
Extra injections definitely PITA but at least they know.
Hope stuff in RL is ok.

GYo · 05/11/2008 19:42

Hi Gruff
Hurray for good appointment, heartbeat and movements such an exciting time

Sorry you've had some RL stuff going on- hope ok.

I too am watching the fireworks from the sofa best way I think

GruffaloSoldier · 05/11/2008 19:43

Yeah its ok thanks Ses, maybe 'major' was a bit of exaggeration

Hope you are feeling ok today, Ses? (despite your bank rant )

GruffaloSoldier · 05/11/2008 19:44

Ah Gyo! x posts! sorry I meant to say before sorry to hear your poorly! very disappointed about not hearing about your scan - roll on next tues!

GruffaloSoldier · 05/11/2008 19:45

you're even

GYo · 05/11/2008 19:46

hello Ses
Sorry to hear of paypal issue- really annoying. Like Glask, I had excellent experiences of babymad.

GYo · 05/11/2008 19:48

Im off for a nice bath. Discovered that lying about on sofa and the relaxed muscles of pregnancy= bad back ache. Nice hot bath will sort that out

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 05/11/2008 19:48

I'm fine thanks.

Belly not really growing at the moment so I'm going for the theory that the baby is using up all my calories making itself leaving me fewer. Also I think I'm still eating fewer calories than pre-pregnancy which will probably have something to do with it. So this evening I'm going for the eat lots of calories plan.

That's my thought process anyway - don't know how logical it is!!

I'm hoping that the doppler will be reassuring when it arrives too.

GYo · 05/11/2008 19:50

Glad all ok. I dont think I really started looking pregnant til 15wks plus and even then it was because I knew... if that makes sense.

Suddenly its popped out and now visible even when im lying on my back.. wont be long til you will have a nice round bump

GruffaloSoldier · 05/11/2008 19:52

TBH Ses, my belly hasnt grown that much.it really fluctuates throughout the day too. plenty of time for yours to expand yet!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 05/11/2008 19:52

Thanks - that's reassuring

Diege · 05/11/2008 20:14

Evening! Just a quickie as off to bed soon.
SES, don't worry about tummy. I didn't get even a hint of a bump until 22 weeks with my first.
Hope things are OK GRUFF - re: rhesus neg I am too (as is Nat and others on here?)Didn't effect my pregnancies at all, and after all the injections you get anyway a few more weren't noticed!
Enjoy your bath GYO .
Right, will try and check in before tomorrow's scan, but if not will update asap

kayzisexpecting · 05/11/2008 21:01

Hello,

I have read through but can't remember a thing!!

Nat, Hope you get on ok at GP's.

Ses, Banks are stupid sometimes. Mine did exactly the same a few weeks ago when I set up PayPal on my account. Don't worry about belly, believe me one day you will wake up and it will just be there.

Pop, I had a feeling your sister was having twins too. How exciting, bless your mum. I think I would panic if my Dc's were having twins within a week of each other.

Done quite a bit of painting today. DS's room is nearly all blue instead of being pink. Then we went to my best friends for fireworks. DS didn't like them though and kept hiding.

Sorry to everyone I have forgotten. Hope you are all ok!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 06/11/2008 07:10

Morning

Diege, huge great big luck for the scan today, will be thinking of you till we hear the news I am sure though with your sickness that everything will be absolutely fine

Ses, how annoying with your bank? As you say, security checks are one thing, but just pissing you off is another!

Gruff, great news about HB and movements Being Rh. neg isn't a major factor, through out all of my pregnancies I have had 4 extra jabs altogether!

Kay, good going with the painting

We didn't have fireworks, just sparklers, we thought the big show/bonfire we normally go to would be on this weekend coming, but apparently it was on last weekend, DS1 is going to be so dissapointed Trying to find another one but looks like they were all on last weekend. We have some creeping to do I think!

So, GP's last night, waste of bloody time, he wouldn't check my wee, did my BP, but didn't even look at my notes to see how it compared to the day before, (although it was the same), he said "when is your next MW appointment?" I said "nearly two weeks away" he says "well get them to do your PET bloods again when you see them, and if your BP goes above 140 come back and see me and I'll refer you to a specialist" WTF? How the hell am I supposed to know if my BP has gone above 140? It was 130/80 on Tuesday and yesterday, two weeks before it had been 120/78, so if that pattern carries on, by the time I see the MW it could easily be over 140, but I won't sodding know that will I?! And, what good would it do getting the MW to do PET bloods in two weeks time? If it is PE, by two weeks time, I could be dead, OK I know that is not very likely, but it is true.

So I am off to get in the shower use my BP reading mind..... Grrrrr!

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 06/11/2008 08:26

Morning

Diege - sending you loads of luck for today and hope all goes well. Am sure it will. I'll be lurking on my phone whilst at work to hear news. How are your seeds doing? It did remind me of an xbf who had accupuncture to give up smoking and had something similar to press if he got a craving.

NJ - sorry GP wasn't much use. The frustration probably doesn't help your BP.

Right - must get a move on...
