glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 05/11/2008 14:15

what about tiny tupperwear pots? i have them in my cupboard for snacks for the kids, but you can easily buy more.... (and it was over 4 years when i was pregnant with DS!!)

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/11/2008 14:19

I do have small tupperware pots, but do you think he'll think I am offering some raw carrots or cakes or something?

I'll do it while I'm there I think LOL

Have still got the giggles, DS2 is looking at me like I've lost the plot, I think I probably have actually, have been in v. wierd mood all day.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 05/11/2008 14:28

well i'll leave you to giggle away!!

These anti-sickness meds are taking their toll on me and i'm sooooooooo tired all the time... shouldn't i be feelign like i have more energy now i'm nearly 17wks???

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/11/2008 14:36

I think the second trimester bloom is a fantasy in 2nd+ pregnancies

Diege · 05/11/2008 14:47

Hello! All this xmas shopping talk is making me very . Not started at all here, in fact not really got everything sorted for dds' birthdays (dd3 on Friday, dd2 week on Sat). I'm not panicking though as I've never started before December!
HEEBS that is brilliant news . What a relief for you! Def. takes pressure off next week's scan too .
Still no news on visa then 2bG? That's a stress but time yet. Scan is 10.30 tomorrow so will report back asap!
POP, didn't realise your sister was having twins too Presume you have a family history?
NAT saw two michelin man posters on way back from acupuncturists - and thought of you . I used little tuperware food pots when desperate - make sure lid on properly though!
Hi TINKS (yes, get both!)WILSON - watch out in the bath with low blood pressure. Had it with dd1 and it's horrible.
Hello everyone else . Not noticing a massive difference after acupuncture today, though he has also stuck these magnets in my ears that I'm to press if feeling nauseous . We shall see!

Heebeejeebee · 05/11/2008 14:57

Hi All

I tend to use water bottles (my gps NEVER give you a sample pot), but not full to the brim à la Adrian Mole! I once apologised to the nurse who said not at all - at least they knew the receptacle was clean. Apparently she once had to do a glucose test on a sample from a fanta bottle...

Pop - 2 sets of twins?! Its like Anne of Green Gables!

Diege if you have magnets in your ears, will you look like an outside broadcase TV reporter with 1 finger jammed in your ear?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/11/2008 14:57

Aww Diege hopefully the magnets (???? ) will help.

I have exciting news:

Boori have just rang, (for the nursery furniture) the bookcase is out of stock, expecting it in the country at the end of Nov. which is a PITA, BUT BUT BUT..... the rest of it is ready Just waiting for a phone call from the delivery company

I am all excited and giggly, DH will think I've been on the wine when he get's home!

Why does heartburn hurt more when you get excited? Am going to find the rennies.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/11/2008 14:59

PMSL at glucose test from a fanta bottle LOL

Am now off to get the rennies!

Diege · 05/11/2008 15:07

Nat - agree that is the sort of excitement that gets my indigestion going, pregnant or not. And not too long till bookcase really??
HEEBS - just bear with me while I twiddle my magnets, ah yes that's better I'm picking you up now Seriosuly they are the size of bloomin' seeds, a fact that the cockatiel has picked up on (he's loose). Please don't pick them out Harvey!!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/11/2008 15:13

But what seeds? Are we talking strawberry seeds or pumpkin seeds?!

Do they actually work?

Diege · 05/11/2008 15:47

ooh right Err sort of kiwi fruit size? Did you sort out your p*ss pot?

Diege · 05/11/2008 15:47

kiwi fruit seed size...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/11/2008 15:52

Ooooh teeny tiny.

Nope, am going to do it while I am there. Well, not while I'm there with the doc, just before I go in to see him...

Ahem....

Spose I'd better go and pick the kids up, they had an after school club, so his girlfriend's only going to be here really for dinner and then it'll be almost home time, last time she changed her mind and didn't want to come as we were walking home so we'll see how far we get this time! We might even make it to the front door, you never know!

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 05/11/2008 15:54

they must be small... can you actually feel them then? do they move? how are they stuck in your ears??? can you tell i'm intruiged??

Diege · 05/11/2008 16:04

LOL Glask they are stuck on with some sort of adhesive . I can't feel them until I press the seed bit and then there's pain pressure. Doing f-all to help the nausea as present
LOL at ds's girlfriend NAT. Bet you secretly hope she won't stay after all...or maybe that's just my slack mum thinking...

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 05/11/2008 16:07

Wow- never heard of them at all... they sound interesting... can you only get them through acupuncture(er's) people?? i'd be interested just to see what they did for me... even just how they looks and what they feel like!! haha!!

GYo · 05/11/2008 16:11

Hello Everyone
Had a brief read through all the posts
Hello again to Star and Pop.

Cosmo- thanks for updating my scan date on the countdown Cant believe I have to wait another week! .

Gradually feeling better thanks- Hoping to work from home tomorrow/ friday, dont think I'd be strong enough to deal with the 5.30am start and commute. I can barely get up the stairs today!

GYo · 05/11/2008 16:12

HI Diege
sorry the accupuncture isnt working yet. Maybe its something that has to build up over time?

wilsonmummy · 05/11/2008 16:24

Gruff.. just wanted to let you know trying the extra small portions tomorrow, i work tues and wed till 8pm so not been able to try out yet and didn't want dh to do it without me being there (think thats something to do with me being a control freak ) so will let you know how i get on!!

wilsonmummy · 05/11/2008 16:26

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 05/11/2008 16:31

Diege, no I quite like him having his friends over, keeps him out of my hair busy Sorry the kiwi seeds aren't helping, would have been good for you to have found a cure.

GYo glad you're feeling better

Wilson, good luck with the portions, DS1 was (and still can be) so fussy with his eating, wish I'd have had Gruff's advice about 5 years ago!

Was clearing in the dining room, DC's in the living room playing.... Came in to check emails (seeing if anyone wants the bits i'm freecycling) and found DS changing DD's nappy after her nap as mummy hadn't done it yet (she's only been awake 5mins!!)
