Hi Iggy fantastic news on your BFP
How many wks are you now??
How are you feeling?

iggypiggy · 12/03/2009 15:15

Thanks smiley

According to MN calculator I am 5 weeks today

I feel very odd actually a bit queasy - tender boobs (but not painful like before af) and then sometimes I feel totally normal again - which really freaks me out!

I keep doing PG tests from time to time - just to check

How are you getting on?

spats · 12/03/2009 15:29

i was wondering about getting doppler. Felt kicking at 16 weeks i think, don't know whether any sooner with 3rd?

I am thinking may have to get mat clothes out as these trousers are my loosest and they are stretching bump, just don't want all that loose fabric hanging around my middle. i hate this inbetween stage for clothing.

We did mention about money but its so exciting and unbelievable that everyone can get it that is worth saying over and over again!!

I have been moonlighting on another ante natal link for sept babies and some people on there have got nucal stats of 1:100000 how can they be so high?? she is 27 i thought she must have been 15!!! lots of zero's not that i am not grateful for what i had, i was just so shocked.

Glad you got a last ski in smiley, we may forgo hols this years and i am sure they meant you were good looking also xx

queenie1 · 12/03/2009 19:20

Hi all - wondered if I, like iggy [waves], could take a cautious step and join you too. Thanks for invite smiley!

According to my cycle date, I'm 5+5 today but I'm pretty certain I ovulated much later and think I'm more like 4+6. So very, very early days.

Very anxious as I've had 3 MCs (one at 8 weeks and 2 at 6 weeks) and lost it today as my boobs no longer felt sore and I started to fear the worst. I did another test though and it's much, much, much darker than last week and boobs are feeling full, tender and a bit sore this evening. It's going to be quite a rollercoaster. I've got an early scan booked for a week on Monday to see how things are getting on down there. Oh the rollercoaster of it all...

Great to hear you all sound so well. I so hope I get to the stage of doppler's and bumps...

Pezzina · 13/03/2009 11:10

Hi iggy and queenie - I'm so pleased for you guys

I do know the worry you will be feeling in these early few weeks - we were all the same. You've really just go to take it one day at a time and realise that your symptoms will be a bit eratic at first.

I didn't really have any nausea until after week 6 which came and went until week 8 when it stayed with a vengence until just after week 12.

Just try to keep feeding happy thoughts to your little bean and remember that we're all here to support you.

Spats I love using my doppler - it really is reassuring to listen in every few days for the heartbeat. This is my first baby so I don't think I'll feel any movement until after 18 weeks at least - so for me the doppler will hopefully stop me worrying until then

xx

Hi ladies,

Wow i haven't been on here for ages!!!! It's been so manic it's unreal. Anyway, nice to see we have a few more BFPers! Welcome ladies.

I've reached the magic 12 weeks mark and I'm so relieved! Can't wait for the whole bump thing and feeling flutters, i'm so excited, feel like a huge weight has been lifted. Still slightly cautious everytime there's a slight twinge but i'm sure that's normal.

Fab scan pic Heeby!!! and can't remember who said it now but good advice about the umberella folding pushchair. Any adivce/info is always welcome to us first time mums!

I'm in such a good mood, just hope we have a lovely sunny weekend so I can go walking in the fresh spring air (that's right i'm being optimistic and saying spring is here!)

Sorry to hear you have SPD nelix, my SIL had that on her baby and she sufferred terribly. Had to stray her hips to support her pelvis last going off. Hope the physio can find some solutions to help you. Take care and rest as much as you can. Good luck with the uni work too, you don't do anything by halves do you?! lol

Take care everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

WanabeMum · 13/03/2009 12:29

ooops, sorry that was meant to say "had to strap her hips to support her pelvis" doh

yellowflowers · 13/03/2009 12:48

Hi everyone. Just popping to see how you are all doing. I;m not one of the bfps from the other thread alas. Thinking of you all though and can't believe some of you have babies due soon...

nelix2000 · 13/03/2009 17:01

Hey wannabe congrats on 12 weeks! you can enjoy it more now!!glad you are ok! SPD has been ok this week as I have done as little as possible lol!!

Welcome to the new BFPs congrats to you all!!!

We are off for the weekend, last one before baby is born. Can't beleive its 10 weeks to go...yikes!!!!

OP posts:
spats · 13/03/2009 19:43

welcome to the new guys, we are all paranoid on thei thread so feel free to mention any little strecth, twinge, pull, tug etc as we have all been there up until 12 weeks, then the worry over scan being oK and then more worry until baby kicks. THat where i am at mo!!!

Bump has suddenly emerged over last few days, i thing 13 weeks must be magic number and they pop out, hence i have no clothes to wear. My friend brought loads of old mat clothes but on trying them on she is a petite so the trousers are too small in the leg so i am going to have to buy some, just about ot go on next web and look at some.

Hope everyone doing OK x

smileycat · 14/03/2009 09:24

Have been bidding on a pushchair on ebay & won it yesterday yippie, can't believe I'm getting to that stage of getting in baby bits but hay have got to start some time

I bought a Jane Powertrack 360 Matrix TS - Titanium Jogger Stroller, second hand but she says its in vgc, it also has a car seat that lays flat & attaches to the frame so you don't have to have the full buggy while the baby is so little, she paid over £700 for it new a couple of years ago with all the added extras & I got it for £180, a little more than I wanted to go, but I should be able to get some of that money back when I re sell it.

I've also bought a couple of sleep suits to start me off, but they are all cream & white. I am going to hold off getting any more until April 20th when we find out the sex, that way I can hit the shops & buy all the really cute outfits in the right colours....only 5wks to go soooo excited

smileycat · 15/03/2009 08:55

Nelix Funtime was asking after you on the other thread so I told her how long you had to go & that you were feeling a little down with SPD, she says to say a big HELLO & to take care of yourself

nelix2000 · 16/03/2009 10:03

smiley thankyou for passing on the message

Hope everyone had a great weekend. We sign the deeds for our new house on thursday, then get the keys next week. I am getting anxious about moving but trying to keep my cool for the sake of the baby! I am sure it was stress this time in my last pregnancy that made my son do a full spiral and wrap his cord around himself!...

How is everyone feeling??

OP posts:
Pezzina · 16/03/2009 10:33

Ooooh congrats on the house front Nelix - all exciting stuff. Well done for trying to stay calm. Glad your SPD has been ok.

I've been suffering from headaches for the past few days. I wake up with one and find it hard to shake it off. I never really suffered from them before. Will have to crumble soon and take something. Paracetamol is ok, isn't it?

Smiley well done on getting the buggy for £180 - I think that was a really good deal!

smileycat · 16/03/2009 10:58

Thanks Pezz I'm looking forward to seeing now that I've paid for it, but wont get to check it out until August when we get back to UK.
My midwife said that you can take upto 8 paracetemol a day if you need to.
I suffered really badly with headaches with DS & havn't really had too many with this pg so I am hoping it means its a girl (find out 5 wks today ). My neice had a girl 1st time around & had no headaches & suffered really badly this time round & guess what she is having a boy........it will be interesting to know what you have & if the theory is right, are you going to find out the sex or wait till its born???

iggypiggy · 16/03/2009 11:15

Thanks for the welcome

Am wishing so much that we could start telling people... was frustrating going to the pub on Saturday and not being able to say why am not drinking! Can't wait till 12 weeks is up..

Am booking my first Drs appointment today.

Congrats on new house Nelix - we are hoping to move too - but not sure if it will happen!

Pezzina · 16/03/2009 12:42

Wow Smileycat I like that theory. We're not going to find out though until the birth. I would like to but DH wants it to be a surprise. So I'll have to be patient and wait. Not going to be easy.

Thanks for the info re: paracetemol - I'm so glad I can take something

Heebychick · 17/03/2009 09:32

Hi ladies, wow what a chatty weekend!

Welcome to iggy and queenie so wonderful to have you here with us, and as the girls say please do share your worries and stresses whenever you want, we all had (are having) them!

nelix good luck with your move next week, be careful and try not to think about it - just in an exciting way of having a brand new home !! We would love to move as only have 2 bedrooms but we are now in neg equity so no chance there - so DD will have to share sadly, but hey it's not that bad and we'll cope just fine i'm sure, then when the house prices get better we shall move then hopefully.

Well i fell over on Thurs lunchtime, i tripped crossing the road and i cried for ages! silly pg woman! i landed on my tummy but all is fine and have had no side effects. Just the shock i think, my male boss wasn't quite sure what to think and sent me home for a hot bath ! lovely!

Fab news about the pushchair smiley my friend has a jane stroller and loves it. I was thinking the other day i had a jive little shopping stroller thing, one which is light and for toddlers, and i took it back to the shop it came from as it was quite stiff to open and they gave us a new (lovely) one to use as a temp pushchair whilst they sent ours off - it is a jane one and it has lots of extra features so i was going to enjoy keeping this for a few weeks - anyway this was 7 months ago and they never called!! so it looks like we are keeping thier lovely one! fab huh!

smileycat · 17/03/2009 12:49

I spoke too soon. Have had the worst headache now for the last two days & its making feel really queasy today, might try & sneak away from work early & get a half hour on the bed before DS & DH get home, see if I can shift it. I've just come across this website that I though might be of use to some of you www.safefetus.com
You can list the medicine that you are worried about & it will tell you if its safe to take while you are pg & what effects it may have on the fetus if you do take it.

Good for you Heeby on the buggy front, its great when things work out for the shopper..that doesn't happen often

Heebychick · 17/03/2009 13:42

That's a great link smiley, thank you.

Poor you on the headache front, i suffered early on too and found it was usually if i hadn't drunk enough water - normally i can go for hours without a drink (by not realising!) but in this pg i am having to keep it up ten fold - also keep an eye on your BP as i think has an effect too. Yes sneak off early, say you have to see the MW!

I have just been swimming in my lunch hour, i managed 12 lengths and scoffed lunch after all within the hour! feel very angelic now .....

.....where's my halo?

nelix2000 · 18/03/2009 14:11

smiley i too had/have headaches. Not as bad now as they were in the early days. Hope it gets better soon!

heeby go you lol! we are going swimming on friday!!

My physio appointment got bumped forward so went this morning. Is officially SPD and I got a rather attractive belt to wear and another appointment next week. My right side hip is higher than the left so causing the joint in the middle to get pinched everytime I take a step...no wonder it was sore lol!!!

Hope everyone is well!!

OP posts:
Heebychick · 18/03/2009 16:21

nelix poor you honey, still lots of reasons to be pampered and waited on hand and foot - and KEEP AWAY FROM THE REMOVAL VAN!!! I hope they can offer some kind of relief a bit until the birth though. not nice.

Can i ask actually, is this pg different than with your DS? i am going on the fact that both my pg's are exactly the same symptom wise so maybe i'm in for double girl trouble!? I don't mind either way i just wondered.

xx

spats · 18/03/2009 16:53

i am not sure if i am imagining it but i am sure i can feel some flutters. I ma only 14 weeks but this is my 3rd. Is anyone else on 3rd and had this happen? i remeber i was 16 weeks with 1st but can't remember with 2nd. Finally broufght mat clothes. went on spending spree on sun. My friend had brought loads only but she is petite so the leg were too short, tops OK though. Went to New Look and whoever mentioned peacocks i want to hug. Brought the most comfortable pair of jeans i have ever worn (mat or non mat) and they have a button so they can fold up in summer - great stuff. So now bump is not so squashed.

Just found out friend is just pg so have someone to hang out with on mat leave which is cool.

SIckness still not gone. Thought was getting better as didn't need to keep chewing gum and as soon as someone says are you feeling better and i say yes it comes back and i have to go on gum again. Psycholoigcal maybe ??

xx

Heebychick · 19/03/2009 09:15

Hi spats i felt this one move at 14 weeks! i had turned 14 weeks that day and was sat down thinking 'hang on' i recognise that feeling, and it never changed just got stronger. Yesterday morning i felt hiccups for the first time this pg! very sweet. So i reckon you are feeling it, hurrah!

I keep getting odd days where i feel yuk still, it's usually when i'm tired or hungry - in fact yesterday i was in a meeting at work and suddenly thought i was going to pass out, i felt awful like my sugar levels had gone through the floor! i scuttled off to the kitchen to grab a banana and a few biccis - much better then!

nelix2000 · 19/03/2009 12:18

spats I felt movement very early...12 weeks, my parnter felt movement pretty early too, this girl wants to be known!!!

heeby yes very different pregnancy. Sickness, aches blah balh lol...pregnancy with DS was sick free and could do lots until 34 weeks. But I think tis every pregnancy thats different, rahter than gender of baby! who knows! a surprise will be lovelly!!
