fikelly weston-super-mare! am utterly jealous! I havent been there in such a long time but when I last went I loved it! Although its prob not the same if you live there! Its not too far away! I may have to steal you as a penpal lol! Ha you may regret replying now lol! Im lovely really!

Am having such a stressful day at work today, is so unecessary, don't people know its mean to pile work on a pregnant lady! Pah! Men! They have no clue!

I may have been super naughty and spent a rather large amount of money on things for bump already, although it my defence when I had 1st I was 18 and she didn't get the best things, infact everything she had was 2nd hand so decided I wanted to do it 'properly' this time now I have the money behind me to afford it, and I have already had 2 positive scans already so he must be ok, someone tell me Im not an utter ninny!

FiKelly · 06/11/2008 15:01

nikkie actually i love it here too. We moved down from edinburgh in 2004 to be closer to my parents as my mum was undergoing her 3rd bout of chemotherapy & we weren't sure if it was going to do the trick again. As we couldn't afford the property prices in bristol where they lived we looked at the surrounding areas that DH would still be able to commute to bristol via train. W-S-M turned out great... so much so that my parents moved here last year. So much easier for me to help them & thankfully mums been cancer free again since the chemo.

I love the fact that W-S-M is small enough that i can walk everywhere with ds and don't have to worry about car parking. Would be nice to have a few more shops to choose from though for maternity stuff!

'BRING ON THE 2ND TRIMESTER!! WOOHOO' sounds like a fantastic new thread title to me!!! Anyone second it?

divedaisy · 06/11/2008 15:06

Gosh FiKelly - your scores are great! It's strange how a year can change them so much. Mind you I noticed the Dr choosing a risk assessment type - is it possible that some use a different algorythmn to calculate? What was your age related risk? Mine was 1:98 for Downs. Anyhow no matter what the numbers are, I'm pleased with mine!

divedaisy · 06/11/2008 15:07

why is my belly button sore? Is anyone elses sore - could it be because it appears to be opening up? It is so sensitive today!

SweetBROODY · 06/11/2008 15:19

daisy I'll second it! but only because we dont want to get lost.. please add that its May 2009 babies!

FiKelly · 06/11/2008 15:24

divedaisy just had to go grab my printout... my unmodified age related risks were 1:167 for downs and 1:1369 for the other 2.

btw have just uploaded a few of my scan pictures and a few others if anyone is interested!

FiKelly · 06/11/2008 15:26

I've no belly button pain but feeling niggly pains again on both sides where ovaries are... uterus must be doing stuff again!

Nikkiemadisonandbump · 06/11/2008 15:27

divedaisy I hadnt even thought of it to be the next title, you've made me feel all special and clever now lol!

Do you have your belly button pierced? I have mine done twice (at the top and the bottom) and it is sore too, but I reckon it could be down to the stretching, although don't remeber getting it last time.

fikelly Glad your mum is ok, I mite try and persuade DP to take us on a little trip up there soon!

I live in Newton Abbot, not a great amount of shops, in fact only Peacocks sells Maternity stuff and thats not alot!

MrsEvs · 06/11/2008 15:35

How about May 2009 - Out with the grumps and in with the bumps! ???

Don't really mind though, am happy with anything that keeps us chatting

FiKelly · 06/11/2008 15:51

urrgh! i'm really struggling with nausea today... thank goodness for cbeebies so I can sit on the sofa for a rest for a little while before DS hauls me off again to play.

Jael · 06/11/2008 16:19

I'd like to have a look at your scan pictures, I like looking at scan pics, still think my little bean looks funny, but hey nevermind, maybe it's a boy and that's why it looks so different to DD scan pics. I can't get on to your profile though.

Jael X

runningmonkey · 06/11/2008 16:26

Hi All,
Congrats on all the lovely scan news, especially to MrsF I'm secretly hoping for twins for some strange reason but no family history of them so unlikely I'm told.

MrsEvs I like your suggestion.

SweetBROODY · 06/11/2008 16:30

Me to please.. I love trying to work out where everything is in the scans! might retrain so that I can do peoples scnas! :S not long to go for mine.. Fingers are crossed so tight that it goes well tommorow..

who else has been going crazy trying to read everything they possibly can on pregnancy and the month they're on? I think I'm exactly 11 weeks today! but according to my LMP i'm 12 weeks so i'm just gonna pretend i've passed the safe zone!

FiKelly · 06/11/2008 16:35

jael try it again now... for some reason it had deleted my public page... have just re-done it so hopefully it'll be there now!

Jael · 06/11/2008 16:44

Found them now lol how far along are you? Your pic where you can see all the baby is loads clearer than mine. Yet at DD 12 week scan I could see loads clearer. Maybe I didn't have a very good sonographer, or maybe baby was wriggling too much, hmm lol

Jael X

SweetBROODY · 06/11/2008 17:04

I cant wait to share my pictures with you guys.. so happy for all these pictures already.. While everyones asking any mothers from barnet or nearby? WE could be Yoga buddys? OR catch up for an orange juice and chat?

FiKelly · 06/11/2008 17:16

jael i was exactly 12wks on the day... but the clarity of the photo does depend greatly on the wriggling little one being in a good spot... mine was asleep and that made it easier. I fish out the ones of DS... they weren't nearly as clear!

FiKelly · 06/11/2008 17:27

OK my 12 wk scan pic is up of DS from 2006 too...

daizydoo · 06/11/2008 17:52

I think its the luck of the draw when it comes to scan pics. It depends on the angle of the little bean and I'm sure it depends on the sonographer too!!

I've enjoyed my 1st week back at work, apart from leaving ds crying at nursery every morning. I hope it doesn't last too much longer as I don't know if I can cope with hearing him cry all the way over the car park!

I made my mother chuckle this morning as I retched my way through the fresh meat section of the supermarket this am!

Fi I'm about an hour from you the other way up the M5 in Glos! We always used to go on trips to Weston as a child, what with it being our local beach. All I remember is the sea being out 95% of the time

llareggub · 06/11/2008 18:02

daizydoo...I'm an hour away from you!

Weird day today. The police have rung to tell me that they've caught the chap who broke into my car, which is great news. Only I've been ripped off my a woman who took a £50 deposit from me to make me some blinds, back in August, only she hasn't done it! She refused to give me my money back and sadly my baby brain refused to help me argue with her. So more battles to come.

Scan pics here cost £10 for 3, which is extortionate given that car parking costs £3 there too. Expensive stuff.

Jael · 06/11/2008 18:04

The picture of the cake with the white chocolate icing has made me sooo hungry. I love cake, I could eat it everyday. Yum. Piece for me...Piece for baby hehe lol

divedaisy · 06/11/2008 18:50

Here you go for next thread - in good time too!!

Yes Nikki - I do have my belly buttton pierced, but haven't worn a ring there for 6 years since first pregnancy. It's so sensitive!!

Anyhow see y'al on our new home!
