cricri x posts, have posted above re kidneys!

choco it is being honest of them but quite rude too!!!
although am loving the outfit that someone has put a link too!

Betti · 09/10/2008 17:31

ChocOrange sorry couldn't resist posting on your name thread even though I've banned myself from over there. Let's give them a taste of their own medicine!

ChocOrange05 · 09/10/2008 17:42

Betti glad you posted - we have to show them how to play nice! Even if you don't like a name there is a thing called "tact"!!

misdee · 09/10/2008 17:51

i think my bump has dropped. i dont have that intense pressure under my ribs anymore.

Pinkyminkee · 09/10/2008 18:14

OOh misdee that is very exciting!
My baby was still very high on my scan yesterday- so she's obviously in no rush.

sparkletoes · 09/10/2008 18:36

No wasn't in Edinburgh Ceebs!

So annoying when you like a name and either someone else (close) uses it or doesn't go with surname.

I also LOVE Orla and so does DH and it does go with surname BUT am sure am having a boy haha!

Am intrigued by the name thread ChocO... may have to take a look...

Ruthy it is certainly not a pleasant experience but I think it is worth it! Never had any "after probs" with waxing personally but everyone's different. Did have painful re-growth experience in my youth with shaving but that was a one off!! Its a bit like ripping off a plaster then its done! But I also don't think it is a definate requirement, whatever you want to do...

Meant to say also that I don't think Monty deserves the reaction it got but that is those name thread witches for you...

sparkletoes · 09/10/2008 18:41

Also Ruthy I am due on 14th and just had it done, mainly due to fact I had time today! Guess it depends on your regrowth but I figure I may need it done once more before D day... But as I can't see it I may just forget altogether!

MonkeyMargot · 09/10/2008 18:50

Rutho - I would strongly recommend getting your lady bits waxed in a salon rather than DIY at home, if you're a first timer. It's not that expensive (£15?) and they are much more efficient at doing the painful ripping bit!

barbareebaa · 09/10/2008 19:03

Hey Ladies,

Merry just txted to say that she is sorry that she isn't scrabbling today - she is sitting in the waiting room at Whipps - has been waiting for 3 hours

Heartmum2Jamie · 09/10/2008 19:24

Oh goodness! Is everything ok? 3 hours is pretty disgusting to be left sitting around.

ruthosaurus · 09/10/2008 19:42

Barb, what's Merry doing there? Is she okay?

Chocorange, I was so tempted to post something like "OMG, you guys are so easy!" on your name thread, but realised it might open us all up for a LOT of slagging off. Played for and got, my friend.

Misdee I am quite as I can't breathe properly right now, although that could be BH again. Bollocks to this late pregnancy lark, it's getting annoying!

Sparkle, ooh I'm all undecided now. The thing is, I would need, ahem, assistance from DH to apply Immac as I haven't been able to even see that whole area for a while now, and I'm already asking him to do all the DIY in the house... I would also hate to end up, erm, mismatched and there is a bit of me that quite fancies getting to my local salon anyway as I'm thinking of getting a pedicure as well. Monkey, I tried using the Body Shop home sugaring kit years ago on my legs, never again. [wince] Sugary crap everywhere and patchy legs into the bargain. Nightmare.

God, I'm so crap at this girl stuff.

barbareebaa · 09/10/2008 20:04

Merry has a nasty itchy horrible rash on her belly and has gone to get something to fix it as is driving her nuts! Hopefully she might have been seen by now (otherwise I think that will be 4 hours in the waiting room...)

Pinkyminkee · 09/10/2008 20:09

Oh gosh yes I remmeber she posted about that earlier. I hope she gets something for it. Such a loong wait, though. Is that a city hospital?

I got forgotten once for one of my antenatal appointments at St Mary's ( m'crs big teaching maternity hosp- it's grim) in my first PG. I was there for hours and hours. I kept being told I would be next...I considered faking labour to get attention be worked, But I doubt it would have worked, TBH. It can feel a bit like that chap who got lost for years on the M25.

zonedout · 09/10/2008 20:09

hello november girls... for those of you that remember me, a little birth announcement (think i may be the first november lady to moo on her knees...and yes, i really did!!)

i gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on monday 6th october at 7.31am after a very traumatic few days in hospital following premature rupturing of my membranes on saturday morning. we are home now and he is doing ok so far, considering he arrived 5 weeks early. keeping a close eye on him as is very jaundiced and sleepy. big brother is being a star so far!

hope all your pregnancies are progressing well. will be back as soon as i get a chance (unless i am evicted to the october board!)x

Pinkyminkee · 09/10/2008 20:13

sorry for scrambled bit in that post. I am crap at typing on this laptop.

Lol rutho about your lady garden dilemma. I have no shame, I'm afraid. My skin is soo sensitve I just leave well alone.. it's a wilderness down there but everything I try brings my exczema on

Pinkyminkee · 09/10/2008 20:15

Zonedout!! I remember you! Wow. Congratulations! I'm sure things have been very difficult but so glad to hear little one is home.< >

ruthosaurus · 09/10/2008 20:16

Oh, poor Merry - sitting around all that time, which is irritating enough at the best of times, but sitting around with an infuriating itch whilst heavily pregnant - eurrgh.

My memory has so gone, I did read her post earlier. Someone at work mentioned my lack of mental acuity earlier today, which I considered rude. But it's okay, I won't remember it tomorrow.

I am WFH tomorrow, thank goodness, so I think I'll start my working day with a leisurely bath, then maybe some brekky, then catch up on MN. Maybe check ebay for slings and baby carriers.

Pinkyminkee · 09/10/2008 20:18

Where is choco we have some updating to do on our stats thread!

barbareebaa · 09/10/2008 20:25

Congratulations Zonedout!!!!

ceebee74 · 09/10/2008 20:35

Congratulations Zonedout - you are our first 'baby' Glad everything is working out well although I am sure it was worrying at first.

Poor Merry - hope she has been seen and sorted out now. I think the longest me and DH have been sat waiting was about 2 hours after our first scan and that was long enough!!

Talking of 2 year olds playing up, DS has suddenly decided he doesn't want a bath anymore - he has screamed his way through the last 2 nights when previously he has loved them (Dh always gets in with him if he is at home and they have huge splashy fun) !

Have also realised that my boss obviously has no intention of letting me wind down before I start my maternity leave . I have got to go to a staff meeting tomorrow which involves a good 2-hour round drive and then on Tuesday, I am delivering a training course which I have never done before and I really don't want to do - training is a very very small part of my job and I get so nervous so just what I need at 34 weeks pg

Anyway, enough moaning and time to try and find some chocolate methinks.

barbareebaa · 09/10/2008 20:41

Ceebee What a nightmare! When do you start maternity leave?

Just to let you know Merry is being monitored and the babies are fine but she is still itchy!

Pinkyminkee · 09/10/2008 20:46

Oh right, so it's not just a skin thing... I hope things are ok. I had some blood tests done for a rash on my arm ages ago, but nothing sinister came back. I hope it's just the hosp being very cautious.

ceebee your boss sounds luurvely how long til you finish?

ceebee74 · 09/10/2008 20:53

My last day is 2 weeks tomorrow - am only working 2 days a week for the next 2 weeks as I have loads of holiday to use up but she is obviously going to ensure that I work hard on those 2 days!!

vbab78 · 09/10/2008 21:10

DS update ... I put him successfully to bed at 7.55pm in other words no screaming and I did it all on my own as DH away tonight .

DS did hesitate when I mentioned bed and slightly tighten his grip on me when I was carrying him to bed and he once quietly said "mummy bed" (been watching b einstein dvd cuddling in the dark on top of my bed with a blanket due to living room out of order) but once I told him "you need your big boy bed so you have lots of room" he lent towards the bed and hasnt moved from the position I left him in.

I dont know if I just got lucky or what but still feel quite pleased with myself!

sorry not read today's posts yet just couldnt wait to spread the good news.

LackaDAISYcal · 09/10/2008 21:12

Poor DH...I have just squealed "omg we've had a baby" and confused him greatly

CONGRATULATIONS Zonedout! I hope he is doing OK. Sounds like he is if they have let you home so soon

ou're not being paranoid

barbs...you're not being paranoid at all, and although it is probably is something to do with iron levels or low BP or low blood sugars and pretty normal in the third trimester, it is the sensible thing to get it checked out . I have had a few dizzy spells this week and am sure it is iron levels.

ceebee.....how nice of your boss to help you wind down . PMA though, lovely; you'll be fine

Survived the demon MIL today, but had to sit through (for the umpteenth time sine I was pregnant with DS) her speech about how "I had so much Bisodol for heartburn when I was pregnant with "our kid" that he came out coevered from head to foot in white chalk", whilst I sat there smiling sweetly and tittering whilst inwardly screaming "OH FFS, IT WAS VERNIX YOU STUPID WOMAAAAAAAAAN". We then had the "Braxton Hicks....never had them in my day".....aaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh.

It's taken an age to post this (blardy DH insists on talking to me; if he is going to interfere with my MNing I will have to ask him to decline his job offer ) so apologies if I've missed lots since I started it!
