Pinky Ob's melon is a head apparently according to MW. It's on the side of her bump.
Posting this whilst sitting on my gym ball

Pinkyminkee · 02/10/2008 21:35

It's quite comfy, but I can't fold the nappies as well....

ceebee she is very nearly actually called Lola, but she is very small and very funny!

Pinkyminkee · 02/10/2008 21:37

lordy me crcir what is that side on melon-head-lie called, technically, does Obs know?? Some sort of oblique transverse maybe??

MonkeyMargot · 02/10/2008 21:37

Teehee ceebee (ooh - that rhymes!)
I've been washing and iron baby sheets and muslins today, even though they're brand new! Quite enjoyed it though. Going up to bed now. Night all!

cricri · 02/10/2008 21:41

Pinky I don't think she knows but sounds like an interesting one! Can't wait to see her pics. She's booked for a cs in any case isn't she IIRC?
Daisy Those laptop tables are great - I got one a few weeks ago.

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 21:56

ironing muslins and sheets? are you mad?

Is obs going to be in for the duration now? or will she be home soon?

I think I might need another visit to IKEA

MerryMarigold · 02/10/2008 21:56

MonkeyM, word of advice from someone with 1 already: DON'T IRON MUSLINS!!! (sheets are pushing it)

MerryMarigold · 02/10/2008 21:58

oops x post lacks

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 22:01

Morning Ladies, had one hell of a day yesterday after all our emails, internets and telephone lines went down in the office. I had got onto mumsnet and tried to post but computer cut me off. I was trying to say "sorry" Choco for cutting short the game of Scrabble but my computer was crashing and being stupid (the start of things to come yesterday). I felt lost not being able to get onto mumsnet.

Thanks Pinky for the list, i think i will use it to check mine.

Good thread title Daisy!!!!

Oh god I hope this works....

LadyBuzz · 03/10/2008 09:38

Love the title Daisy
Hope all the London ladies have a lovely tea today!
I am having nesting thoughts about cleaning the bathroom - not sure if they will develop into actually doing it but the intention is there!

ChocOrange05 · 03/10/2008 09:44

Pinkali don't worry about the scrabble - I'm still here if you want to take me on!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/10/2008 09:44

squash those thoughts, LadyBuzz....you know it's the right thing to do

I too have nesting thoughts, but then I assess what needs to be done and just start crying....blardy hormones!

Great new thread title.

Hope all the ladies in London enjoy their tea.

I had a strange day yesterday. Went shopping and for lunch with dd and MIL. I was barely able to walk I was feeling so much pressure. I spent a lot of the afternoon in bed, convinced that I was going in to labour as I felt exactly like I did the day before I had dd. No pains at all, just the same 'feeling'. I spoke to my BIL's fiancee who is a midwife and she said not to worry, probably just baby's head engaging. MIL spent the evening here just in case as DH was wprking til 10.30. When DH came home I had about 30 minutes where I thought maybe we should go to the hospital and then ..... nothing. Went to bed, slept ok and feeling much better today. I think I might go insane in the next few weeks. At least first time round I didn't know what to expect. I'm only just over 34 weeks so way too early to be getting so worried about everything, I'll probably still be here in another 6 weeks wondering if anything will ever happen.

Pinkali37 · 03/10/2008 10:29

Suildonn Blimey, let's hope mini you holds on for anothe few weeks! We took the dogs for a walk this morning and my pubic bone felt very tender as if I couldn't walk properly. It scared me a little as I realised my body was doing its own thing and preparing for labour!

Choco this afternoon your on! Have to pop out this morning so wouldn't want to break the concentration!!

I'm 34 weeks today!

So... who is going on maternity leave first then????

MonkeyMargot · 03/10/2008 10:30

I'm sure I won't ever iron a muslin again - it's only cause I have the time at the moment.
Lacks and choco - your moves in our games!!

Pinkali37 · 03/10/2008 10:30

Yikes terrible English, I meant "You're on"...

ruthosaurus · 03/10/2008 10:47

Morning ladies!

Love the title, Lacks - nice one! And kudos to your DH, what a star that man is [any other DHs eavsdropping, please take note!] Slap wrist about naughty babies, I bet that means that those children's books about "My Naughty Little Sister" are banned now... I have on occasion told my bump off for being bad but have made it very clear that I just don't approve of its behaviour and that I still love it very much.

Great to hear about Obs, poor sausage - I can't wait to see the photos of her interesting new bump. What is that child up to in there?

Re: laptop not a laptop any more, I swore I would stop eating in front of the tv when I could no longer balance a plate on my knees but have cheated and balanced the plate on a large cushion on my knees instead. But if I sit at the table I can't reach my plate...

Fingers crossed, Suiledonn. Poor you, that sounds pretty scary. Hang on in there!

Hi Pinkali, I've got 10 days left but I might not take all of it, esp as I haev to go to the GP to get antibiotics, which I have a history of reacting badly to, so I could be off with rashes and throwing up next week... Congrats on 34 weeks - I am technically 2 days ahead of you but it really is a case of the bets are off at this stage, no?

LackaDAISYcal · 03/10/2008 11:32

I've just tried to get my engagement ring off and it's stuck fast . Tried soap, cold water, veg oil, aqueous cream..all to no avail and now my finger is so swollen with all the tugging there isn't a hope in hell of it coming off now. My own fault, it is a bit on the nippy side, but as I'd lost weight it was going on and off fine.......last time I checked though was about eight weeks ago.

I think I'm going to have to get it cut off....and made bigger

Got the ring I wear on my right hand off OK, but I feel naked without it.

lol at not reaching the table rutho; I can hardly reach the kitchen taps (well that's my excuse) as we have pretty high worktops and I'm a shortarse. I keep belting myself in the belly everytime I turn the tap on!
