FiKelly · 19/10/2008 22:21

agooboo I'm just 10wks and hubby commented/complimented me on my prominent bump earlier this wk.. my tummy is hard even when i lie down

llareggub thanks for copy paste.. was going to offer to do same next time i'm on laptop.. in bed surfing with phone at mo

detsy · 19/10/2008 22:24

Good luck llare am sure all will be great tomo and look forward to catching up with your news then. what time is your scan?

I've started telling people as will be 12 weeks this week - next scan due in couple of weeks (nt)

Dandylion is right - whilst we are all wanting to get past 12 weeks, soon we will be worrying about something else. In my experience its a non stop worry till the little blighters come out and THEN the worrying REALLY starts!!!!

detsy · 19/10/2008 22:25

Fi get you you technophobe!! I seem to have got into gadgets so much - proud owner of an e book now and just about managed to download a book last night. Patience is not high on my list of virtues at mo!!

llareggub · 19/10/2008 22:31

The scan is officially at 11.40am but previous experience tells me it will me somewhere between 12.30 and 1pm. I shall not be arriving with a full bladder, that's for sure!

Thanks for the messages of support, I really appreciate. I really do know deep down that it will be OK, after all, I'm so tired!

FiKelly · 19/10/2008 22:33

I got the new phone so i could update my blog and etsy store without having to lug the laptop away when on holiday and really needed a better camera.. so got this touch screen phone. i'm loving it but still getting to know it.. haven't figured out how to copy/paste while surfing

divedaisy · 19/10/2008 23:05

FiKelly - wot type of phone? I need new one cos my touchscreen Sony Ericsson it dodgy now to say the least. Need one where i can play with my web site and ebay store - what's your store called? I'm hype bike & boardstore - need ot start putting on all out bikes, boards and accessories!

good luck for tomorrow Ilareggub - hope it goes well for you!

Agooboo - I can feel my uterus when I lie down - above my pubic bone it sits a good 2-3 inches above it! Sometimes I feel like I can feel something wiggling about there - but know it's too early yet - just need to do a big fart!

divedaisy · 19/10/2008 23:08

ANyhow - going off to bed now...

By the way we've only got about 60 messages here on this thread left - time to start thinking of a new thread title! Any ideas???

Rubysmom08 · 20/10/2008 09:44

morning ladies!

Sebandelliotsmom- I wee when I am sick, unfortunately its out pelvic floor I have a dd who is 9 months tmrw and I know it is because I was lazy with my post baby exercises.. there is a positive though this one should just drop out!

I have a private scan booked for Friday, already had a scan at 6 weeks ands and 8 weeks to check viability buit I am a real worrier so have opted for a private one like we had with dd1, it was around the same time last time so will be nice to keep and sbhow them when they are older! I think

My symptoms seemed to have disappeared the last couple of days but come back with a venegance this morning doesn't help that dd wants toplay screaming this morning xx

Good Luck with the scans today xx

llareggub · 20/10/2008 12:23

Hello, I'm back!

Had my scan today which must have qualified as the quickest scan ever. Saw a lovely healthy baby, dated at 11 + 2. I've got to go back in 2 weeks for a more detailed scan as it seems they won't do that until at least 12 weeks. I'll have to amend by EDD at same point, it will be more like the 4 May now.

Still, I got to hear the heartbeat and have a little look at the baby, at which I promptly burst into tears.

Phew!

SesHasapinkline · 20/10/2008 13:15

llareggub - really pleased for you
Fantastic news!

pulapula · 20/10/2008 13:17

Really pleased for you llareggub.

Lucky you to get another scan in a couple of weeks too. Our scans are just dating scans so that's all they look at.

Saw my midwife today and did my booking in stuff. So tedious (medical history etc) but in other ways exciting too (makes it seem more real).

Felt a bit bad when she got to the nutritional advice (5 fruit/veg a day, 1-2 iron-rich foods, calcium etc). My diet isn't very balanced at all! But taking folic acid, no alcohol, non-smoker etc so could be a lot worse lol

FiKelly · 20/10/2008 13:28

divedaisy I'm a bit of a samsung phone fan so I went for the samsung Omnia instead of the iphone... you'll find a link to the specs of the 2 phones I was deciding between on my blog here my etsy store is [http://www.FionaKelly.etsy.com] I only have one pattern for sale... MS has been getting in the way of my current project. Hopefully one day I'll have heaps of designs done!

llareggub I'm so delighted for you and another scan to boot... what a bonus :O great news.

frazzledoldbag34 · 20/10/2008 13:39

llareggub - fab! Well done you.

Just ate a big plate of left over Sunday lunch from yesterday (made birthday lunch for my dad) and of course far too much. And then a bowl of left over (most delicious) spiced apple crumble with DOUBLE CREAM!
Now, my bump (which was a good size this morning) is massive! I look about 20wks. (And am only 10.5).
Gah.
At least the m/s seems to be on its way out now. Only feel crappy intermittently.
Which means I'l have to concentrate on eating healthily and properly all the time ( not eating four roast potatoes and two yorkshire puds with roast beef and gravy for lunch like I just did). (Was nice though - gosh I am SUCH a good cook!!!!)

agooboo - feel better soon. In answer to your Q about feeling a ball in tummy - I can definitely feel something -and sometimes think I can feel the bean jumping but of course it isn't yet! Just wind
Can't wait for the proper first wriggles and kicks. Love it. (Until they get big and then they really hurt of course. Or like DD2 who used to kick/punch me hard in the fanoir - yow! She used to stop me in my tracks (eg in the supermarket) and I'd have to stand with my legs crossed going 'ow', 'ow'. Quite embarrassing.

Better go and do some work, tidy up, then school run and then food shopping. Then nursery run. Then make tea, homework, bedtime routine, then do more work.
And DH is poorly, man-flu he says. Bit of a cold I say. I'd like to see him cope with m/s, work and kids! (He wouldn't)

God, the fun never stops!

frazzledoldbag34 · 20/10/2008 13:44

Oh and I'll just join in with the phone chat (uninvited!) - I've recently got a black Nokia N95 with 8GB. Has sat nav, maps and internet on it. Which is great, but I mainly use it for work and texting my friends. And it has a fabulous camera. Think its 5mpixel. Anyway, I love it. And it tells you the name of the person who is calling you (which is a bit freaky actually).
(You can probably tell I'm not a phone person really, but my friend, who is into phones has one and told me to get it. So I did. And she was right.)

llareggub · 20/10/2008 13:58

I'm a blackberry addict although I am hankering after an iphone.

SpangleMaker · 20/10/2008 14:11

llareggub congrats on your scan You must be over the moon with relief.

Well today has been a waste of time so far - was heading for a meeting down south only to be told 10min into the journey the office is closed due to flooding, had to go all the way to Milton Keynes and wait an hour and ha half for a train back. 'Working' from home this afternoon, at least I should get something productive done, it may not be work related though

I'm really grateful for all the phone chat as am thinking of replacing my 3-yr old Motorola and was looking at the Samsung Tocca(?), would like an Omnia but it's a bit pricey. The iphone is gorgeous but I want to get a decent camera this time. Sounds like the Samsung will do me fine.

FiKelly · 20/10/2008 14:11

frazzle oooh I'm now hankering after apple crumble... that's 2 people who've mentioned it today... off to get some shopping this pm so I think there'll be apple crumble for tea... and extra thick double cream
