Good Morning (sidles in and waves shyly) all. Could I please join, as I am due 27 May (3rd one, already have 2 dd's, 10.5 & only just turned 4).

Feeling sick all the time, only way to control it is to eat. all. the. time.

I'm sure some of you understand

llareggub · 19/10/2008 11:00

Oh god, please will someone tell me it will all be OK at my scan tomorrow. I am a bag of nerves after losing 2 babies this year. Symptoms are good, right? I can barely bring myself to go and am making this worse by reading the miscarriage threads.

I hate, hate this part of being pregnant.

I keep kidding myself that the fluttering I can feel is the baby, when really I know it is probably wind.

I sound like a loon. Help!

SpangleMaker · 19/10/2008 11:19

llareggub I am absolutely sure everything will be perfect. I can totally understand your fear though, I think we've all been thinking the same things at some point, but it's even more natural to be worried after what you've been through. Stay away from the miscarriage threads - that way madness lies!! The best thing is to try to find anything to do that will distract you from even remembering you're pregnant at all. You've not got long to wait now.

Will be thinking about you tomorrow

pulapula · 19/10/2008 12:16

llareggub, try not to worry - easier said than done I know!. But symptoms is a good sign, and getting to 12 weeks scan is another. Fingers crossed for you and hope to hear your scan results tomorrow.

Febes · 19/10/2008 12:28

I'm 12 weeks this week too so rang my BF and told her last night. I have been so nauseus (sp) this week seems to be getting worst not better but it lasted until at least week 14 last time so a few weeks more I guess.
LG- Your symptoms sound good to me and I'm sure it will all be fine tomorrow but it is so nerve racking isn't it. Mines not till next monday and I hope its all fine. I agree with you about this part of PG being horrible!

Hi all,

Just spent ages catching up again.... feeling dreadful atm, although dh was an absolute star last week and took 3 days of to help at home, as I am trying desperately to make myself eat and avoid rehydration justgotabfp thinking of you as it is no fun at all. Oddly this time sickness is bad in morning but worse in evening and have recently started throwing up then aswell I hate hate hate this part of pregnancy, I am such a baaaad patient! (as my dh would most def agree).

Have not really started thinking about names just want tpo get the cvs over and done with before I start going down that road, dd2 was going to be edward or charlotte but ended up being Lydia and dd1 was always going to be Jack or emily (milly) not highly orginal I know, ( and I have one of the most common names from the seventies so I should know better!)

anyway off to feel sorry for myself on the sofa x

pulapula · 19/10/2008 19:12

Doris, Hope the MS passes soon. I am lucky that I don't throw up, just feel queasy. I hate being sick so would be a really really bad patient.

I always think I should be more original and go for a more unusual baby name, but in the end, I go for something from the top 10 names lol.

I always assumed you were called Doris but I don't remember many of those in the 70s so guessing you are a Claire, Sarah, Louise, Jane, Sharon, or Elizabeth? Always plenty of them about.

pulapula · 19/10/2008 19:15

...or maybe a Helen, as that was pretty common in the 70s too.

citybranch · 19/10/2008 19:23

Hi,
did anyone got to the baby show at Earls court this weekend? It was fun...plenty of free samples of things etc, and DS had fun at some of the toddler stands. I got chatting to some ladies on the hypnobirthing stand, and i'm really interested...well giving birth quickly with minimal pain appealing to anyone, right? Has anyone here had any experience of it, or know anyone who has? DH thinks it might be a bit hippy-dippy but i'm really intrigued now...

llareggub · 19/10/2008 19:23

Thanks for your messages, folks. They did help and now I am feeling relatively calm. I'll post tomorrow afternoon with news of my scan.

SesHasapinkline · 19/10/2008 19:27

Llareggub - just wanted to wish you all the best for tomorrow. I think you know that I've had v similar mc experience to you this year and so I completely understand how you are feeling. Please join me though in:
a) taking the advice of staying away from the mc threads and
b) staying positive as we do have symptoms and the bad news we've had at previous 12 week scans is really so very rare.

I look forward to seeing your happy post tomorrow

llareggub · 19/10/2008 19:32

Will do. I shall join you in both posts. I haven't actually reached 12 weeks in previous pregnancies, with the exception of DS, of course.

I shall post again tomorrow. shehaspinkline, are you having a scan soon?

SesHasapinkline · 19/10/2008 19:36

I have my 12 week scan on 28th Oct - a week on Tues. As worried as I am now, I'm sure my paranoia will be rising over the next week...

Keeping everything crossed for you!

superkat · 19/10/2008 19:40

Hi Guys,

llareggub · 19/10/2008 19:41

I'm sure I'd give everyone else the same advice as I've had here. Fi5fj5555555555555555555555r4wwwww

llareggub · 19/10/2008 19:46

Not sure what happened there!

SpangleMaker · 19/10/2008 20:00

Good luck tomorrow llareggub.

I hope I haven't been tempting fate (DH reminds me 'we don't believe in fate in this house!') but just gave my credit card a bashing at JoJo Maman Bebe & Next on some maternity clothes. I don't have a bump at all yet (just a huge gut) but my jeans & work trousers are getting rather snug & I guess they are only going to get snugger. Also treated myself to some yoga wear, am really looking forward to getting my Bhudda Bellies yoga DVD.

Evening, STILL suffering with tummy bug. That's over a week now. Went to GP on call centre tonight as I feel so bad. stomach cramps are the worst. It got better mid week but came back today. Absolutely no appetite.

Went to doc about the discharge - he didn't seem overly worried and it has stopped now so prob just light spotting.

So fed up of feeling sick/ill. Anyone else feeling like this?

Also, when I lie down I can someties feel my uterus like a small ball. I'm 9 weeks today -anyone else feel theirs?
