Many congats annwoo on your new arrival!

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/10/2008 22:13

Congrats annwoo! Do you have a name yet?

1sttimer - I thought it was start of one to start of next, but am not 100% certain.

twinkly - I'm hoping not be away from my laptop for more than a day (aiming for c6 hour stay in hosp post birth, just to check ds' blood sugar), but if the births are flooding in then yes, it would be great if you could keep a note of the details for me, thank you.

Spent 4 hours cleaning tonight, as building works v messy today, and dh had left all the mess to have a soak in the bath . He has cleaned tonight too though. Wouldn't mind so much if I thought it would stay clean for more than 12 hours.

thanks Heather and CSWS! oh well... not sure what this baby wants to do, so going to get some rest and see what tomorrow brings! Contractions are feeling cramp like and occuring roughly every 10 minutes but nothing really regular. I hope this doesn't go on for days as I think it'll get too much... it's more the anxious wait ... just want to see our baby!

Congrats Annwoo! Can't wait to hear about the birth!

bethoo · 02/10/2008 22:22

mumstheword and jenwa as of yet i have not mentioned anything to the ex dp as he would be upset and i am trying to keep things peaceful. i think it is for the best as you can understand no man wants to find out his pregnant ex is having sex with someone else whilst carrying their child! he still calls daily to tell me he loves me but sadly that is not enough and he has done too much damage to forgive and let go. my new dp is fine about the pregnancy and even wants to be there for the birth. it is ging very fast and though it is nice it is frightening in a way. i want to be with him but still not ready to move in with anyone just yet though in a year down the line who knows! i will tell the ex after the baby and if the relationship is going anywhere as not worth the hassle otherwise! ex dp can be very nasty so trying to keep it amicable at the mo!

congrats anwoo.

my back is in agony due to pregnancy! though i am sure the sex is contributing though i am not as virile in the bedroom as i was 9 months ago!

jenwa · 02/10/2008 22:28

annwoo Congrats on your new baby boy. Sounds like all ok if you back home and all well. Yes fill us in when you are able.

mumstheword Sorry think it was someone else on our due date then firstimer08 maybe, def had a number in there name and there is also 1sttimer80 so think I was getting you all confussed re MIL at birth

heather I get on well with MIL but could no at all have her at birth, you are brave but for taking DH to get food and not bring you anything back. I would have switched rooms and that would have shocked them coming back into someone elses labour !!!!

Also mumstheword I did feel bit cheeky asking bethoo but I am sooooo curious, it is better than a soap opera on here, gave up watching them as they are soooo naff and this is all real . also a little jealous that someone wants to go near a pregnant lady when my DH just calls me a walrus !!!!

jenwa · 02/10/2008 22:31

bethoo You are def doing the right thing, you also dont need your ex giving you grief/hassle at the mo. Just enjoy your new man and hopefully things will all work out well for you.

emkay · 02/10/2008 22:34

Congratulations Annwoo - can't wait to hear your birth story.

Still sending positive vibes your way star, hope all is well.

I also thought that the contraction timing was from the start of one to the start of the next and DP agrees which, as he did all the timing with DD, means it's probably right.

I've had such BH recently that then come to nothing which didn't happen at all for DD - she came out of nowhere at 38 weeks. Beginning to realise how lucky I was.

Good luck to Alexa too - was it today or tomorrow the C-section?

1sttimer80 · 02/10/2008 22:50

Jenwa think it was my MIL!!!

I couldn't respond earlier as DH was looking over my shoulder

Bethoo... don't know how you manage it... tried on top today to get things moving quicker, and let's say it wasn't the easiest of things!! DH enjoyed it though !!! Sorry if tmi! Think I'll stick to eating pineapple!!!

Ok off to bed now... good night and sweet dreams!

1sttimer80 · 02/10/2008 22:51

P.S. Thanks Emkay.. I tested out the contraction timer that Heather put up to check and that's how it calculates it too.

1sttimer80 · 02/10/2008 22:53

Jenwa- sorry didn't reply to your question. Well have tried to reinforce that she's not allowed in, but we'll see what actually happens. Hope DH puts his foot down!

rosebury · 03/10/2008 05:02

07mumstheword · 03/10/2008 07:44

Hooray! Waking up to some birth announcements
Congratulations Annwoo and Rosebury looking forward to your stories especially Rosebury's with DH at the front line!

1sttimer80 Any more contractions for you?

Bethoo I don't blame you for not mentioning anything to your ex dp you can enjoy your new dp without any unnecessary hassle and find the time that's right for you to bring it out. I agree with Jenwa better than a soap & real Hope you don't mind us revelling in your happiness. And my DH won't come near me either unless it's very dark even then he wont have intercourse as frightened of poking the baby. I don't really mind though as all too awkward now anyway

ajm200 · 03/10/2008 08:33

Congratulations Annwoo

No news from Sambrads? Maybe yesterday was the day?

jenwa · 03/10/2008 09:02

Rosebury Wow congrats and congrats for making on here so soon afterwards . Glad all went well, is DH in shock???!!!

1sttimer Hopefully she wont come in!!! Its your body and your bits on display! You can always tell the MWs and they can advice/tell her not too!!!! Or just dont let her know when its happening

plusonemore · 03/10/2008 09:07

congrats anwoo and rosebury- were you early with your others?

had a down day yesterday but feeling brighter today, especially as am having ashow this morning! 4 days over today, maybe by monday i'll have my baby

come on evryone, i want more birth stories!!

hedgepig · 03/10/2008 09:08

congratulations Annwoo and rosebury well done to you both.
talking of sex my DH will not have sex until the decorating is finished in case it brings the baby on!!! The baby is due tomorrow so I think we have different priorities here!
I think this LO must have moved or something cos I am feeling rather un-pregnant today if that makes any sense at all I've had movements so I think that everything is OK

ronshar · 03/10/2008 09:18

Yipee ANNEWOO and ROSEBURY. More babies. I cant wait to hear all about it all.

It is Stars birthday today. I remember because it is DH as well.

Anyone else ready to go today?

Bethoo, you are having such a wonderful finish to your pregnancy. Your new DP is taking your mind off all the last couple of weeks waiting. Your new DP sounds like a great chap. I agree that telling exdp would cause all kinds of complications you could do without. Is exdp planning on being at the birth as well? That could get messy
We have until Monday to get these babies out before we join the induction countdown.

I am off for reflexology again this morning. Last time she wasnt hopeful of early start so I shall see what she thinks this time. If she asks me to book in again I shall cry.

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/10/2008 09:28

Happy birthday Star and MrRonshar!

Off for another sweep this morning. Really need this one to work as have to get the baby out over the weekend to avoid Monday's induction. Fingers crossed!

OP posts:
hedgepig · 03/10/2008 09:29

ronshar .....induction countdown, thank you for that sobering thought !! I was trying to ignore the whole possibility of that (Hedgepig has fingers in her ears la la la la) Right I'm going for a walk, should I stick to paths through the village or march over the fields?

Aubergenie · 03/10/2008 09:34

Congratulations Anwoo and Rosebury!

DP keeps asking me if I think today's the day. I've got no idea as I've not done this before! But I do feel very odd today, exactly as if I was going to start my period. Fingers crossed this could be the start of things...

ronshar · 03/10/2008 09:38

CSWS. Good luck to you today. I hope your midwife has long fingers Would she be happy to break your waters do you think? I know some will be a little more enthusiastic than others.
My midwife seems reluctant to do one at all, so not holding any hope there!

Hedgpig, the hills and fields my love the more rugged the better. Just dont go too mad or you could end up giving birth on the hill side. Remember your mobile.
Sorry about the (whispers induction again) but I am getting to that point AGAIN in my life where I realise that nothing I do is going to get a baby out until it is ready.
I have also come across lots of stories about 3rd labours being more unreliable and stop start for ages! Bloody great.

ajm200 · 03/10/2008 09:39

Rosebury Sorry missed your birth announcement in the flurry of updates.

Congratulations !!!!!

bethoo · 03/10/2008 09:53

congrats Rosebury

starting to think my lo will never come, just like mentioned earlier i feel non pregnant as tummy not aching until i am in bed at night so during the day i am fine apart from the fact i am limping assure i have trapped nerve in the left side of my lower back!

as for exdp being at the borth, i am unsure as to whether i tell him i am in labour or not! i feel he should be but dont want him there, he was not there for the first anyway! and new dp wants to be there but i said he will get as far as the waiting room! thinking of doing labour alone, at this rate with my crap organisation skills i will be having an unintended hb!
