Have one booked with community midwife for Friday ronshar. Haven't seen her for ages, so will be good to catch up whilst she's having a fiddle!

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 01/10/2008 21:10

Other midwife told me to have sex every 3 hours. Think I'd rather be induced .

ronshar · 01/10/2008 21:10

I like the word Rumage. It has a certain kind of truth to it.

rosebury · 01/10/2008 21:14

Evening ladies cannot believe what has happened in the past day congratulations wfom on your baby boy.

Star hope we will all hear from you soon sending you good vibes.

Not a good day for me feeling really pissed off and want to cry, my mw is on holiday so another one came today and although everything else was fine my bp has shot up she wanted me to go into hospital for tests today but I stalled her went to bed to get my pressure down I have a bp machine so was able to check my bp myself it did come down to 134/86 but it took most of the day and so she is now saying we will have to see in the morning if the bottom number is 90 or above then she wants me in the day assessment unit for tests, I soooooooo do not want to go as will be very stressed so bp will rise anyway .

I need to try and get a good sleep and be relaxed but how the hell I am going to do that I dont know alternatively I could go into labour and get all of this over with i so need to have this baby now but really do not want any intervention sorry off to have a cry now.

good luck everyone xx.

ronshar · 01/10/2008 21:15

Every 3 hours! What with a cucumber?
I think I would also choose to be induced!

I had unprompted sex this morning. All very uncomfortable. As for going on top. Well I think I would probably cut off the circulation to DH legs.
Nipple stimulation is just boring now to be honest.
DH threw a massive strop because I was going to cook a curry again this evening, so he is now down the pub where I told him to F**k off.
Walking is getting too painful. So I'm not sure what else to try!

Oh what a barrel of laughs I am this evening. No wonder DH went down the pub. I would if I could

Aubergenie · 01/10/2008 21:19

Brilliant news Tedmundo! I'd heard it's a really uncomfortable procedure, so well done.

Good luck with the sweep tomorrow Sambrads - I hope it's more effectiove than mine was. I was at the hospital today and asked if they could do me another one but she said that they're not effective so soon after having one. I'm getting anxious as my BP is still high and they're muttering about induction if it goes up any more. I'd much rather get things going naturally so have been bouncing on the ball and nipple twiddling.

Positive birthing vibes to those who need them. I wonder who's going to be next????

ronshar · 01/10/2008 21:19

No I went back and checked. It is Alexa who is having C-Section tomorrow. Good luck love.
Sorry Ekka

Aubergenie · 01/10/2008 21:23

Every 3 hours?!?

pepperrabbit · 01/10/2008 21:25

My goodness, the pace has picked up a bit here! CSWS does anyone have time to have sex every 3 hours let alone the inclination!!
I have a MW appt tomorrow and fully expect to collapse in tears when she asks how I am.. Not coping terribly well with the 2 boys and being this PG - does anyone else just feel deperate to get their body back?? I was in the shower this morning talking to my bump as you do, explaining that baby really really had overstayed welcome inside and outside was much better! DS1 was sat on the bathroom floor looking a tad concerned.
Had cramps on and off for days now but nothing dramatic and I'm waking at maybe 4 - 5am, this morningtwas 3am!
Sorry moan over.
I hope Stars OK she was doing so well earlier.

Honeymoonmummy · 01/10/2008 21:29

Big hug Rosebury!! I'm sure everything will feel better after a good nights sleep.

I need to spend 20 minutes catching up every night with this thread!! Can't wait to finish work so I can give it my full time attention!!

Thanks to those who gave me advice re hypnobirthing CD's, I'm going to order them.

Congrats to those with good news and hopefully more from Star soon!

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/10/2008 21:32

She did say it very much tongue in cheek .

I was awake from 3am too pepper. Got back to sleep some time after 5am for another hour or so.

Good luck with c-sec Alexa.

HI all

Just checking in. Hope Star is ok and congrats to the new mummies!!

Nothing much happening. My due date is tomorrow so just waiting. Text my sister in law to wish her good luck for an interview tomorrow, and called my mum just to have a chat but was warned by both not to call unless something starts happening! Seems like everyone is on standby waiting for this baby to arrive!!

Been havign cramps all day but nothing regular.. no show nothing but having a little more discharge than normal (sorry if tmi )

I am getting to the stage where I just want this baby out.

Pepperrabiit, I know exactly how you feel.. I want to get into my old clothes now, nice fitting jeans and a top that fits my torso!!!

Ok I've had my moan!!!

jenwa · 01/10/2008 21:45

I am shattered. Off ot bed in a mo!
CSWS every 3 hours, blinking heck, struggle avery 3 months !!!!! DH scared to come near me!

Been to MW today, head def engaged but obviously that means jack all! Have got uncomfy inbetween legs and around bum, feel like someting is falling out hoping its pressure and not my insides about to drop out !!! MW also could feel babies elbow etc as my tummy muscles are not attached and things are easier to get to which is why I can see feet and elbows and knees sticking up all the time!!!

ronshar they seem to be able to go to the pub these men dont they, DH off there tonight, I have not told him to F**K off though he just goes!!!!

Honeymoonmummy · 01/10/2008 21:51

What do you mean your tummy muscles arent attached??? Did I miss something???

jenwa · 01/10/2008 22:02

honeymoonmummy Sorry, when I had DD my tummy muscles tore and it took awhile to nit back together and this time they have torn again (once torn apparantly they can tear again easily) so I have to make sure that once baby is born I dont overdo it and do lots of gentle tummy exercises to fix them back together again!!! It is something that does occur in pregnancy. I thought I would have to have surgery but apparanlty thats only in extreme cases so hoping baby is not overdue and my tummy does not completely fall apart

ronshar · 01/10/2008 22:24

Yes men do seem to get it easy dont they?

Off to bed my self. I had the best sleep for weeks last night. At least four hours unbroken. It was lovely

I shall catch up tomorrow, hopefully we will have news from Star.

Emmsy1 · 02/10/2008 04:44

congrats womb very impressed hope all ok with you star

had a letter re:bloods yesterday iron level 10.1 and platelets 130, have been prescribed ferris sulphate (200mg)3x per day, am really hoping I don't get constipation too bad this time, already having enough pain as baby is lying on a nerve and having shooting pains up my left leg and in my buttock can't seem to move baby from back to back have tried all fours and rocking etc... baby just seems happy in that position does anyone know if the iron tablets will get the platelets back up??

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/10/2008 07:26

No overnight baby here. Anyone else?

OP posts:
sambrads · 02/10/2008 07:49

morning ladies

last night before i went to bed i had a real sharp pain in my bits and had loads of tightenings !!!

last night i kept getting wakened with pains in my bits and back . when i got up this morning i was changing ds and felt something slide out i went to the loo and i have just had the biggest show of my life !!!!

it is still coming out its awful i have been having crampy feelings in my back and lower belly but nothing to painful.

got mw appointment tonight so i am not to bothered dh has went on to work and me and ds will have a day on my birthing ball

i dont want to build my hopes up this is it as i will probably still be here next week

what do you all think ??

Lozza70 · 02/10/2008 07:53

Just a quick drop in but congrats to all the new arrivals and good luck to Star! Sander is a little sweetheart and has managed to put on 5 oz in his first week so the MW was very happy with him yesterday. Now we just need to get him into a routine where we get more than 2 hours sleep at a time

I'll be lurking to keep up to date with all the new arrivals, sending baby arrival vibes to all.

ajm200 · 02/10/2008 07:55

Hi Sambrads Sounds like things might be starting really soon, especially if the MW does a sweep. Fingers crossed for you

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/10/2008 08:02

Sounds promising sambrads .

OP posts:
sambrads · 02/10/2008 08:09

ajm and csws do you think it sounds promising cause i have had a show or because im getting a sweep ??

phoned my mum to make sure she will be in today as dh is 45 mins away and if i do go into labour i will have to bring ds to her house and meet dh at the hospital .

i am going to get stuck into the house work as this place needs a good clean

07mumstheword · 02/10/2008 08:11

Rosebury Hope you have had a restful night and BP sorts itself out.

Emmsy I'm not sure about iron tablets helping platelets but I did have them after my last labour as had low platelets and anemia so I think it should help.

Sambrads Another show and pains its looking good for you, perhaps you won't even have to wait until this evening for your MW appointment straight into hospital

Alexa All the very best for you today.

rosebury · 02/10/2008 09:11

Morning ladies very grumbly tummy here with lots of bhs and visits to the loo for poos things really do feel like they are moving so hope that it continues and does not stop again.

Sambrads all sounds hopeful for you today as well positive vibes all round.

Not to bad thanks for asking 07, did you get to the new shops yet?

Oh and well done ted for getting that baby turned glad it was fairly easy for you lucky that you had a skilled dr.

see you later ladies.
